2 Application Functions This product is used with the Sinorix TM CDT-V automatic gas extinguishing systems and with the Sinorix TM H2O Jet automatic water mist extinguishing systems. The pressure gauge gives a direct indication of the pressure in the cylinder on which it is mounted. The table on the operating instructions label allows for comparison of the pressure indicated by the pressure gauge with the theoretical pressure values, taking into account the room temperature at the time of performing the check. Thus any loss of extinguishing agent (i.e. a loss of pressure) is easily identifiable. The switch integrated in the pressure gauge is electrically connected to the extinguishing control unit (ECU). 3 Notes Security This product may only be installed by Siemens-authorized specialized installers, with experience in the design, installation and maintenance of automatic extinguishing systems. Installers must ensure that this product is used as intended, that any danger to themselves or to others is avoided, and that Siemens requirements are met (assembly instructions, technical instructions, commissioning, and operating instructions). Furthermore, the installation must comply with the accident prevention regulations and national regulations in force. Installers must also ensure that the operators have read and understood the information related to this product. CAUTION Country-specific safety requirements Failure to comply with country-specific safety requirements may result in bodily injury or damage to equipment. Comply with the provisions applicable for each country and observe the corresponding safety instructions Mounting Apply fluorosilicone grease sparingly to the O-ring of the pressure gauge. Screw up fully the rotating nut of the pressure gauge on the pressure port of the valve using a 30 mm open-end wrench Direct the pressure gauge for reading: screw the square clockwise using a 14 mm openend wrench. WARNING Risk of breaking the sealing Never unscrew the pressure gauge with the square. Connect the connector of the connecting cable of the pressure gauge to a junction box via a TOR-x connection cable loom. WARNING Fragile precision instrument to be handled with caution Never use the unit to screw the pressure gauge on. Always use the tightening nut located at the back of the unit and a 30 mm open-end wrench toscrew the pressure gauge on. Replace any pressure gauge after an impact, e.g. a fall. 3

4 Maintenance Storage Store in its original packaging, protected from shocks. Inspection every six months Check that the product is in a good condition. Check by hand that the product is corrected tightened and re-tighten if necessary. Wipe the glass of the pressure gauge with a clean lint-free cloth. 4
