Cavitation, erosion and surges an damage the valve. The values are appliable only in the assembled state, in the unit with the valve mounted on the atuator. Operation When the spindle is retrated, the ontrol passage (passage -) is losed and the mixing passage - is opened. It is reset by spring fore (spring in valve). The valve an be ontrolled to the open or losed positions using the XT 211 thermal atuator for unit valves. In ombination with the normally losed atuator version, the valve's ontrol passage loses in the event of a power failure.

3 UT /3 Used as a 10172a The valve an be moved to any position using the XS 215S ontinuous atuator for unit valves. Depending on the position of the DIP swithes, the valve is adjusted ontinuously with a ontrol voltage of 0 10 V / 10 0 V, 2 10 V / 10 2 V. The ontrol signal is then assigned to the valve stroke on a linear basis and produes the almost linear harateristi in the valve. The integrated positioner ontrols the atuator aording to the setting of the DIP swithes and positioning signal y. The ontinuous atuator positions the valve and, as soon as the position is reahed, it stops. The valve an be moved to any position using the atuator XM 117 motorised atuator for unit valves. In the ase of type XM 117S (with positioner) the valve is adjusted ontinuously with a ontrol voltage of 0 10 V. Variants: F202 opens the ontrol passage as the ontrol voltage rises; F302 loses the ontrol passage as the ontrol voltage rises. When used together with a thermal atuator, the approximate on/off and subsequent linear harateristi in the ontrol passage enables the valve to be opened quikly. Engineering and fitting notes The ontrol unit an be fitted in any position. To prevent any flow noise from being audible in very quiet rooms, the differene aross the valve must not exeed 0.5 bar. So that impurities are retained in the water (e.g. welding beads, rust partiles et.) and the spindle seal is not damaged, we reommend inserting olletive filters, e.g. per floor or per line. Requirements for water quality are as per VDI The medium must have a minimum of 16% and a maximum of 40% oolant, suh as glyol.
