5 EUROGAUGE Tankate 2 & Tankate 160 Installation - Tankate Gauge with TG Internal Transitter 1. Check the gauge dial for correct calibration, depth and specific gravity and check whether pointer is on zero. If pointer is not on zero, carefully reove the front bezel fro the gauge and re-set the pointer to zero via the adjustent screw on the gauge dial. 2. Mount the gauge in the required position. If ounting outdoors, the gauge should be protected fro direct sunlight. 3. Reove the anhole cover fro the tank and ount the tank adaptor close to the anhole or in the cover itself. Attach the lifting cable to a suitable fixing point at the top of the tank. 4. Pass the nylon tube through the tank adaptor and connect it to the TG external transitter (if using copper tube then ake connection in accordance with diagra on page 4). Iportant: This ust be a 100% airtight connection. 5. Run the tube to the gauge ensuring that there are no sharp bends or kinks 6. Connect the tube to the gauge (if using copper tube then ake connection in accordance with diagra on page 4). Iportant : This ust be a 100% airtight connection. 7. Lower the TG transitter using the lifting cable (DO NOT USE THE TUBE) to the botto of the tank. Provided that airtight connections have been ade at both the transitter and gauge ends, a correct indication will be obtained and the gauge will aintain a constant reading of the liquid level. 8. Attention: If for any reason the tube has to be disconnected, the transitter ust be first reoved fro the tank to prevent the airbag in the transitter fro collapsing. If the airbag of the transitter collapses due to an air leak in the syste, ensure that the airbag is re-inflated and assues its noral rounded shape with the tube disconnected. (Blow down the inlet on top of the transitter until resistance is felt). Reconnect the tube to both transitter and the gauge before the transitter is lowered back to the tank botto. 5/8

Ensure that the transitter bleed screw is positioned vertically at the top of the transitter. xxxxxxxxxxx 4. Connect the nylon tube to the AG Transitter (if using copper tube then ake connection in accordance with diagra on page 4). Iportant : This ust be a 100% airtight connection. 5. Run the tube to the gauge ensuring that there are no sharp bends or kinks. 6. Connect the tube to the gauge (if using copper tube then ake connection in accordance with diagra on page 6). Iportant : This ust be a 100% airtight connection. 7. Loosen bleed screw located in the top of the AG Transitter. 8. Open stopcock slowly until liquid begins to run out of the bleed hole. 9. Retighten the bleed screw. 10. Turn the stop-cock fully on. Provided that 100% airtight connections have been ade at both the transitter and gauge ends, a correct indication will be obtained, and the gauge will aintain a constant reading of the liquid level. 11. Attention: If the airbag of the transitter collapses due to an air leak in the syste, ensure that the airbag is re-inflated and assues its noral rounded shape with the tube disconnected. (Turn off the stopcock, disconnect the transitter, drain out the liquid, blow down the inlet on top of the transitter until resistance is felt). Reconnect the tube to both transitter and the gauge before the transitter is lowered back to the tank botto. 7/8

Minute air leaks. Check that capillary tubing has been correctly fitted. Make sure that the transitter diaphrag has been correctly inflated (blow down inlet on top of transitter until resistance is felt). Then release pressure and the diaphrag will assue its correct shape. Check for splits or twists in the capillary tube. Reake the capillary tube connections to the gauge and to the transitter. Gauge reading too low Gauge reading too high Incorrect tank calibration. Diaphrag in transitter partially deflated. Incorrect tank calibration. Gauge in direct sunlight. Check calibration details against: 1. Gauge dial. 2. Original order. 3. Eurogauge advice note. Check diaphrag inflation (see above). Check the tank calibration as above. Re-ount gauge in a position where it is not exposed to direct sunlight. 9 Tankguard 3 Fillpoint Tank Manageent Syste EUROGAUGE The TankGuard 3 ust be ounted on a flat vertical surface. All wiring ust be in suitable cable for the application conditions and ust coply with the relevant electrical supply authority regulations, together with any other statutory requireents which ay affect the installation. The 4-20A signal cables should, if possible, be run separately fro any cables carrying ains voltages. It is recoended that cable with polyethylene or PVC insulation with a conductor size of at least is used. If the 4-20A signal cables are to be run through areas of high electrical interference it is recoended that screened cable is used with the screens being terinated to the earth terinal in the TankGuard 3 unit. Originally designed to coply with all Health and Safety Standards relating to Fuel Oil Installations, the syste has been extended to incorporate specific requireents of the various Military, Health and Local Authority users as well as Governent and odern Industry. X The syste coplies with M & E III and other related specifications and can be used with any level easuring device powered by a 4-20A current loop. The unit ay also be configured for use with any other non looppowered level easuring device which provides a 4-20A output. X This akes TankGuard 3 a universally applicable syste providing the user with total flexibility to apply the ost reliable type of level sensor eleent such as capacitance, ultrasonic, pressure, float, intrinsically safe or standard to perfor a reliable easuring task. The TankGuard 3 features an attractive wall-ounting weatherproof housing to IP65 and requires no other cabinet or housing enclosure. It incorporates an easy to read % analogue dial trend indicator to give 'at-aglance' inforation of the level in the tank. The red LED digital display provides the user with the current tank volue and an internal sounder and large LED laps give warnings of re-order, high level and overfill alar conditions.
