5 Maritime training MARITIME BASIC TRAINING The course is mandatory for seafarers employed or engaged on any capacity on board ships with designated safety or pollution preventing duties. The purpose is to train the Seafarer, giving him the basic tools to keep himself safe during his work at sea. Consists of the following courses: - Personal survival techniques (STCW A-VI/1-1) - Basic fire fighting (STCW A-VI/1-2) (Training carried out by Nordjysk Fire and Rescue School) - Elementary first aid (STCW A-VI/1-3) - Personal safety and social responsibilities (STCW A-VI/1-4) Valid Health Certificate for Seafarers and Fishermen (Blå bog) 6 days The course is valid for five (5) years. is approved by the Danish Maritime Authority. 6 Maritime training PERSONAL SURVIVAL TECHNIQUES / REFRESHER STCW A-VI/1-1 The course is mandatory for seafarers employed or engaged on any capacity on board ships with designated safety or pollution preventing duties. The program provides the delegates with such theoretical and practical skills which is needed to survive at sea in the event that the ship must be abandoned. The delegates will gain knowledge on various types of rescue equipment, principles of survival at sea and the main hazards for survivors. They will also gain the skills in use of personal life saving equipment, initial and secondary actions in a liferaft, as well as the use of equipment found in lifeboats and rafts. 7 Maritime training BASIC FIRE FIGHTING / REFRESHER STCW A-VI/1-2 The course is mandatory for seafarers employed or engaged on any capacity on board ships with designated fire-fighting duties. The purpose is to train the Seafarer, giving him the basic tools to act as a smoke diver and fire fighter according to the ships contingency plans. The content of the course is Combustion and extinguishing techniques, breath control and air consumption, smoke diving tactics, as well as a lot of scenario based practical training in fire fighting. 8 Maritime training ELEMENTARY FIRST AID STCW A-VI/1-3 The program must provide delegates with such theoretical and practical skills which is needed administer basic first aid in the event of emergency. The delegate will gain knowledge on assessing the need for aid to injured persons and the threat to own security and gain an understanding of initiatives to take immediately in emergencies. They will also gain skills in resuscitation, recovery position, treatment of bleedings as wells as preparing and caring for a person in transport of a casualty. 9 Maritime training PERSONAL SAFETY AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES STCW A-VI/1-4 The program must provide delegates with such theoretical and practical skills, which is needed to take care of personal safety as well as the care of others life and the environment. The delegate will, amongst other, gain knowledge of the following subjects: - contingency plans, of alarm signals, duties of the crew - proper use of personal protective equipment - be familiar with basic procedures to protect the environment - understand the importance of always following safe work practices - precautions to be made before entering of enclosed spaces - ability to understand orders and communicate with others in relation the duties aboard ships, and - the importance of maintaining good human relationships and a good work community aboard ships. 10 Maritime training PROFICIENCY IN SURVIVAL CRAFT AND RESCUE BOATS OTHER THAN FAST RESCUE BOATS / REFRESHER STCW A-VI/2-1 The course is mandatory for seafarers employed or engaged on any capacity on board ships with designated rescue boat or survival craft duties. The purpose is to provide the seafarer with knowledge of multiple types of survival crafts. The course will enable the seafarer to take charge of the launch, sailing and recovery of any survival craft. The content of the course is launching, sailing and recovering of survival crafts. Operating the survival craft engine, recovering survivors as well as first aid and emergency communication are part of the curriculum. Valid Health Certificate for Seafarers and Fishermen Min. 18 years of age Min. 12 months of seagoing service or 6 months of seagoing service and completed approved training course. 2 days if completed First Aid 3 days without First Aid Refresher: 1 day 5 years is approved by the Danish Maritime Authority. 11 Maritime training FAST RESCUE BOATS / REFRESHER STCW A-VI/2-2 The course aims to give the delegate the knowledge and the skills to take command of a fast rescue boat during and after the launch. The delegate will gain knowledge of the following on construction and outfitting of fast rescue over-board boats and individual items of equipment, special features and devices by fast rescue overboard boats, navigation and safety equipment in a fast rescue boats, knowledge of maintenance, emergency repairs, normal inflation and deflation of buoyancy chambers in inflatable fast rescue boats, and operating the engine in a fast rescue boat and operating the engine and its equipment. The delegates will also gain skills on safety precautions during launching and recovery of fast rescue over-board boats, procedures to right a capsized fast rescue overboard boat, handling of a fast rescue boat in prevailing and adverse weather and sea conditions, search patterns and environmental factors affecting their performance, as well as judging whether fast rescue boats and related equipment is ready for immediate use. 12 Maritime training ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING / REFRESHER STCW A-VI/3-1 The course is mandatory for seafarers employed or engaged on any capacity on board ships in charge of controlling firefighting operations. The purpose is to train the Seafarer, giving him the tools to organize and command the smoke diving and firefighting teams during an on board fire. Content during this course is special features of a ship fire, daily tasks, communications, extinguishing management, exercise planning under DMA Guidance no. 3 of 30 November 1998, search tactics, management principles. 13 Maritime training MEDICAL FIRST AID STCW A-VI/4-1 The programme is designed for all seafarers designated to provide medical first aid on board a ship. The course provides the seafarer with knowledge and skills enabling him to take charge of an emergency, providing any casualty with the proper first aid responses. The course contains topics such as first aid kits, body structure and function, spinal injuries, examination of casualties or patients along with other subjects. 14 Maritime training SECURITY AWARENESS STCW A-VI/6-1 This course is for seafarers engaged on any vessel, who do not have any designated security related duties. The purpose of this course is to provide the seafarer with knowledge of security related precautions on a vessel. The course enables the seafarer to contribute to the enhancement of maritime security, recognition of threats and maintaining security awareness and vigilance. 15 Maritime training SECURITY AWARENESS FOR PERSONS WITH DESIGNATED SECURITY DUTIES STCW A-VI/6-2 This course is for seafarers engaged on any vessel, who do have designated security related duties. The purpose of this course is to provide the seafarer with knowledge of security related precautions on a vessel, and to actively participate in the duties related to heightening the vessels security level. The course enables the seafarer to contribute to the enhancement of maritime security, recognition of threats and maintaining security awareness and vigilance. Furthermore, the seafarer will be trained to play an active part in maintaining the conditions set out in the ship security plan. None 8 hours No expiry is approved by the Danish Maritime Authority. 16 SSO/ SHIP SECURITY OFFICER COURSE Training in knowledge and attitude qualifying the participant to handle the function as ship security officer on board vessels and according to STCW Regulations. This course complies with STCW Code Regulation VI/5 Participants must have at least 12 months of sea service time on board merchant vessels in order to obtain certificate upon satisfactorily completion of course. 2 days No expiry Online

17 Maritime training PERSONAL SAFETY COURSE FOR PILOTS Ministry of business and Growth Executive order 1077 of 21/11/2012 The target group is pilots and pilot apprentices. The objective is to train pilots in personal safety, techniques for personal survival at sea, emergency and first aid procedures including CPR, resuscitation and hypothermic remediation. In addition, pilots gains knowledge of the risks and precautions for the person transfer, and will be able to respond appropriately to vessel evacuation and man over board situations. To ensure that the pilot will be familiar with their own equipment possibilities and limitations, the practical part of the course will be taught in the same type of equipment that the pilot uses itself. 18 BRM/ BRIDGE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (BRIDGE TEAM MANAGEMENT) Training in co-operation for bridge officers on all types of vessels in order to develop skills to improve operational safety and efficiency of vessels. Simulator training is provided in our Transas Full Mission simulators. The course comprises lecture presentations and simulation exercises including human factors, vessel management, teamwork, crisis management, decision-making This course complies with STCW Code including 2010 Manila Amendments Section A-II/1, Section A-II/2 and Section A-VIII/2. Participants must hold a certificate of competency as Mate or Master. 19 ECDIS/ELECTRONIC VOYAGE PLANNING Electronic Chart Display and Information System The ECDIS course gives the participants a basic understanding of both the benefits and limitations of ECDIS and how to manage the maintenance of such a system. The course is approved by DMA and updated according to latest Manilla amendments. The course follows IMO s Model Course 1.27: Operational use of Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems. Training is provided in our Kongsberg Desktop simulator, where all participants have their own training facility/equipment at disposal for maximum efficiency and hands-on training. Certificate of competency as master (home trade), similar or higher maritime education. Other participants might be allowed after evaluation of individual qualifications. 20 16 COURSE/ SAFETY AND HEALTH WORKING ENVIRONMENT The course is conducted according to the Danish Order nr. 770 of 29. August 2003 on working environment training course for members of the safety group in merchant vessels (Section 16 course for merchant vessels) The objective of the course is for the participant to qualify for attending to his/her function as a member of the safety group in practice and, in co-operation with others, to promote a safe and healthy working environment on? board merchant vessels. The course is mandatory for members of the safety group on board Danish merchant vessels, and gives the participants some tools in how to deal with improving safety and working environment on board. This course Is approved by the Danish Maritime Authorities (DMA). elected member of the safety organisation, or meet the requirements for signing on as an ship s assistant (advanced level), or meet the requirements for service on a seagoing vessel for the issue of certificate as: - Mate 4th class - Marine engineer on duty or - Machinist 2nd class Individuals who are part of a service crew may participate in the course as an elected member of the safety organisation if they have completed the safety training in accordance with the Danish Maritime Authority s Order on special training and qualification standards for crew on passenger ships, and subsequently have completed three months of service on board a seagoing vessel. 21 DANISH MARITIME LEGISLATION FOR FOREIGN SENIOR OFFICERS EXCEPT MASTERS This course targets individuals with a foreign Certificate of Competency, who plans on doing service on ships under Danish flag as Chief Officer, Chief Engineer or 1st Engineer. The participant must live up to conditions for applying for a Danish Certificate of Recognition by foreign Certificate of Competency, as Navigator or Engineer on senior level. Prior to attending the course, a confirmation of subsequent employment of the applicant at the shipping company, must be available. 2 days Note It is possible to complete this course in combination with the course 16 course/ Safety and health working environment, for members of the safetyboard on tradeships etc., by which the combined duration of the two courses are reduced from 3+1 days to a combined 4 days. 22 DANISH MARITIME LEGISLATION, SHIP MANAGEMENT, AND WORK ENVIRONMENT FOR FOREIGN MASTERS This course targets individuals with a foreign Certificate of Competency, who plans on doing service on ships under Danish flag as Chief Officer, Chief Engineer or 1st Engineer. The participant, who is a residence of a EU/EEA country, must meet conditions for applying for a Danish Certificate of Recognition by foreign Certificate of Competency, with the right to serve as a Master on board a ship registered in Danish International Register of Shipping. 2 days Note It is possible to complete this course in combination with the course 16 course/ Safety and health working environment, for members of the safetyboard on tradeships etc., by which the duration of the two courses is from 3+1 days to a combined 4 days course. 23 GOC/ GENERAL CERTIFICATE AS RADIO OPERATOR IN GMDSS Learn how to operate maritime VHF/MF/HF radio equipment with digital selective call (DSC), HF-telex, INMARSAT satellite equipment, EPIRB, SART, Navigational Telex (NAVTEX) and portable VHF radio in order to pass an examination. Upon completion application can be forwarded to DMA for obtaining General Operators Certificate (GOC). The certificate allows the bearer to operate maritime radios on board merchant ships in all Sea Areas. This course is approved by the Danish Maritime Authorities (DMA), and complies with Danish Act No. 939 of 29th of August 2011 on certificates in GMDSS and STCW A-IV/1 standards regarding radio operators. Participants must be at least 18 years old Certificate must be applied for with DMA after passed examination. 10 days 5 years Online

25 ROC/ RESTRICTED OPERATORS CERTIFICATE This course gives lecturing and exercising in International radio regulations and how to operate maritime VHF radio equipment with digital selective call (DSC), EPIRB, SART, Navigational Telex (NAVTEX) and portable VHF radio in order to pass an examination. Upon completion application can be forwarded to DMA for obtaining Restricted Operators Certificate (ROC). The certificate allows the bearer to operate maritime radios on board ships in coastal areas. This course is approved by the Danish Maritime Authorities (DMA), and complies with Danish Act No. 939 of 29th of August 2011 on certificates in GMDSS and STCW A-IV/1 standards regarding radio operators. Participants must be at least 18 years of age Certificate must be applied for with DMA after passed examination. 5 days 5 years Online

26 LRC/ LONG RANGE CERTIFICATE This course gives lecturing and exercising in International radio regulations and how to operate maritime VHF, MF and HF radio equipment with digital selective call (DSC), EPIRB, SART, Navigational Telex (NAVTEX), Inmarsat equipment and portable VHF radio in order to pass an examination. Upon passed examination application can be forwarded to DMA for obtaining Long Range Certificate (LRC). The certificate allows the bearer to operate maritime radios on board fishing vessels and furthermore pleasure crafts on long-distance voyages. This course is approved by the Danish Maritime Authorities (DMA), and complies with Danish Act No. 939 of 29th of August 2011 on certificates in GMDSS and STCW A-IV/1 standards regarding radio operators. 27 Maritime training SRC VHF Short Range Certificate To use the maritime VHF frequencies in Denmark must have at least a SRC certificate for operating radio equipment. A SRC course covers topics and give permission to operate the following radio equipment: - VHF - VHF with DSC - EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) - SART (Search and Rescue Radar Transponder) The exam for SRC certificates are held as written tests. 28 Maritime training RECOGNIZED SERVICE SUPPLIER FOR INSPECTION OF LIFE SAVING APPLIANCES (LSA) The purpose of the course is to equip the participants with a theoretical and practical skill set that meets the educational demands defined in IMO Circ regarding the servicing of launching appliances, lifeboats and on-load release gear required for conducting Annual and 5-yearly thorough examinations. The course is directed at individuals and/or companies with employees who possess technical knowledge and experience with inspection of cranes and/or launching appliances but lack the training and tools. The course is based on both classroom and hands-on education and participants will be introduced to Flag state requirements, IMO approved checklists, and the CRALOG database - the center of the training program. The participants will receive a training certificate on completion of the course. - Machine operators, technicians, surveyors with at least two years experience within the service area in which they are applying for approval - Assistant machine operators, technicians and surveyors with at least one year on-the-job training 3 days 3 years Training carried out by CRALOG &. 29 Maritime training COMPETENT PERSON FOR INSPECTION OF SHIPBOARD CRANES The course is directed at individuals and/or companies with employees who possess technical knowledge and experience with the inspection of cranes and/or lifting appliances but who lack the training and tools required for conducting Annual and 5-yearly thorough examinations. The purpose of the course is to equip the participants with a theoretical and practical skill set that meets the demands defined in ILO 152; demands that override the more or less specific demands of the individual countries. After the course, the participant or the participant s employer is able to apply for Flag state approval in accordance with the individual countries demands and interpretation of the rules. The course is based on both classroom and hands-on education and participants will be introduced to Flag state requirements, ILO approved checklists, and the CRALOG database - the center of the training program. The participants will receive a training certificate on completion of the course. - Machine operators, technicians, surveyors with at least two years experience within the service area in which they are applying for approval. - Assistant machine operators, technicians, surveyors with at least one year on-the-job training 2 days 3 years Training carried out by CRALOG &. 30 Maritime training REFRESHER COURSE Recognized Service Supplier and Competent Person The purpose of the course is to re-certify the participants with a theoretical update of new rules and regulations and test the practical skill set that meets the educational demands defined in both; - IMO Circ regarding the servicing of launching appliances, lifeboats and on-load release gear required for conducting Annual and 5-yearly thorough examinations. - ILO 152 regarding re-certifying of shipboard cranes for Annual and 5-yearly thorough examinations. The course is directed at individuals who already hold training certificates and are experienced personnel. Once again the course is based on both classroom and hands-on education, and participants will be re-introduced to Flag state requirements, IMO and ILO approved checklists as well as the CRALOG database. The participants will be re-certified on completion of the course. 33 Maritime training TRANSFER SAFETY Service technicians traveling around the world servicing and maintaining ships machinery, systems and equipment are often challenged when embarking and disembarking a ship in open sea. The service technicians may be exposed to many risk factors such as poor weather and temperature, transfer equipment malfunctioning or not maintained, insufficient safety equipment available, skills of transport vessel crew etc. offers a specific transfer safety course to counter such ricks when embarking and disembarking a ship. Course targets The course is designed to educate service technicians in personal safety, personal survival techniques at sea. Furthermore, the course provides service technicians with knowledge of the risks and precautions for person transfer operations, as well as act appropriately in connection with man overboard situations and vessel evacuation. 34 Offshore training BOSIET Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training This training programme is designed to meet the initial offshore safety and emergency response training requirements for personnel new to the offshore oil and gas industry. The aim of the BOSIET is to introduce delegates to the specific safety issues and regimes relevant to offshore installations, and to equip them with the basic emergency response knowledge and skills for travelling to and from offshore installations by helicopter. 35 Offshore training FOET Further Offshore and Emergency Training This programme is designed to meet the further offshore safety and emergency response training requirements for personnel working in the offshore oil and gas industry. The aim of the FOET is to provide the delegates with the opportunity to practise and demonstrate emergency response skills which are not possible to practise during drills, exercises and emergency training offshore. -- Demonstrate, in a simulated environment, that they can use the safety equipment and follow procedures in preparing for and during helicopter emergencies with particular focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching Demonstrate that they can use basic firefighting equipment effectively, and use self-rescue techniques in low visibility and completely obscured visibility situations e.g. smoke filled areas Demonstrate that they can perform basic first aid. The aim of the HUET programme is to prepare delegates that intend to travel to and from offshore oil and gas installations and vessels by helicopter by providing specific training in pre-flight and in-flight requirements and to equip delegates with the basic emergency response knowledge and skills required in the event of a helicopter emergency with specific focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching. 37 Offshore training CA-EBS Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) Initial Deployment Training The OPITO-approved Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) Initial Deployment training programme is designed for personnel travelling to or from offshore installations/vessels via helicopter where a Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System will be provided for use in the case of an emergency ditching. The Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) Initial Deployment training programme provides the delegate with the knowledge and understanding of the particular hazards and properties of a Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) and appropriate emergency response actions to take should the requirement for emergency use arise. The purpose is to provide the delegate s knowledge of multiple types of survival crafts. The course will enable the delegate to take charge of the launch, sailing and recovery of any survival craft. The content of the course is launching, sailing and recovering the survival craft. Operating the survival craft engine, recovering survivors as well as first aid and emergency communication are part of the curriculum during the course. 46 GWO Basic Technical Training The GWO Basic Technical Training is designed for personnel who want to work onsite in wind turbine and who have no previous experience of hydraulic, mechanical or electrical systems, but may also be used to up skill candidates who have some knowledge but not of their application in wind turbines. This GWO BTT Training enables delegates to be able to perform basic hydraulics, mechanical and electrical tasks under the supervison of an experienced technician. The course provides the delegates with basic skills and understanding of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical components and systems in a wind turbine, including how to perform repair, preventive maintenance and inspection tasks. The delegates participating in GWO BTT Mechanical training shall be medically fit and capable of fully participating. Mechanical module 12,75 hours Electrical module 9 hours Hydraulic module 8 hours The GWO BTT Training is an enduring qualification and therefore a validity period does not apply. is approved by DNV-GL according to GWO standards.
