Insert coins to add time or insert card, follow on-screen instruction (Press blue button to add time). 5. Press green button to complete transaction. 6. Retain receipt for proof of payment (also has extended time code if you want to add time later) 7. Download Parkmobile app Add time using a mobile device.

2 CURFEW FOR MINORS KIDS 17 AND UNDER ARE NOT ALLOWED IN PUBLIC PLACES BETWEEN 11 P.M. 5 A.M. UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY PARENT OR GUARDIAN. That leaves the younger ones a full 18 hours a day to enjoy all the beach has to offer.

3 GOT A MOTOR? IF SO, IT S NOT ALLOWED ON THE BEACH, BOARDWALK, BIKE PATHS, PARKS OR GRASSY AREAS. Sorry.

4 PET LOVERS Before Memorial Day and after Labor Day weekend, pets are invited to enjoy the public beaches and Boardwalk area anytime. However, during the summer months (Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend), they are limited to frolic on the north end of Virginia Beach above 42 nd Street and the south end of Virginia Beach in the Sandbridge area before 10 a.m. and after 6 p.m. Pets on a leash are allowed on the Boardwalk only from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. during the summer months. Fido must don a leash, and human companions are required to clean up after their furry friends.

11 SWIMMER SAFETY Remember to swim near a lifeguard. Locate your closest lifeguard station in the case of an emergency. Virginia Beach Lifesaving Service operates 50 stations from 1 st Street to 89 th Street and Croatan Beach, along the Oceanfront.

12 BIKE RIGHT If you re on a bike, use the designated bike path next to the Boardwalk and obey the same rules as automobile drivers. And remember: stay to the right.

13 FISHING INFORMATION Cast your line during allowed days and times. Fishing from the shore is prohibited from Rudee Inlet to 42 nd Street on weekdays (10 a.m. 4 p.m.) and on weekends and holidays (10 a.m. 5 p.m.).

19 DRINK/PARK RESPONSIBLY If you know you re in no shape to drive home after an evening out and you parked in one of the Municipal Parking Lots located at 2 nd, 4 th, 19 th streets or Rudee Loop, get a Do Not Tow sticker from the lot attendant that will allow you to leave your car overnight. If there is no attendant, contact a police officer or call Put the Do Not Tow sticker on your windshield, and grab a ride from a cab or a friend. You may pick up your vehicle between 8 a.m. and noon the next day. Municipal parking lots close at 12:30 a.m. to new entries. You must get your sticker prior to 2:30 a.m.

20 RIP CURRENT SAFETY Use these helpful tips to Break the Grip of the Rip! IF CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT: Don t fight the current. Swim parallel to the shore, then back to the beach. If you can t escape, float or tread water. If you need help, call or wave for assistance. SAFETY: Know how to swim. Never swim alone. If in doubt, don t go out.

21 ROLLING AROUND When roller blading or roller skating on the boardwalk or bike paths, be sure to look out for pedestrians.

22 BEACH SPORTS Courtesy volleyball nets are available on a first-come, firstserve basis at 25 th, 30 th & 40 th streets. Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends and holidays, playing frisbee and other sports on the beach are prohibited in between Rudee Inlet and 42 nd Street, unless otherwise noted.

23 DO S & DON TS A few do s and don ts that will ensure you have a great time while at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. DO remember to remove valuables from vehicles. DON T have open containers or alcoholic beverages in public areas or in a vehicle. DO remember to lock your vehicle and hotel room. DON T leave personal items unattended. DO pick up after your pets. DON T have pets off-leash or on the beach. DO ride bikes and surreys on the bike path. DON T use electric or motorized vehicles on the boardwalk or beach. DO pay attention to your surroundings. DON T go swimming, rafting or snorkeling more than 50 yards off-shore. Do have a great time in Virginia Beach. Don t forget to come back!

24 FIND-A-KID PROGRAM Many of the hotels and motels in Virginia Beach participate in the Find-A-Kid Wristband Program. This free and voluntary program helps parents quickly locate children that wander off from their families by providing an identification wristband at the front desk to children 10 and under.
