If you have already paid your account in full for the year, you will not be receiving a statement in the second quarter. You can go onto the Kuester website and view your account information at Kuester.com (see instructions included in the newsletter). Reminder: POOL SEASON will be here soon, and you must be current in your Hamptons HOA dues if you wish to receive your pool tags. Yard signs are not allowed unless work is actively ongoing. We realize that some may also contain the permit, which also can be placed in the window of your home, and please remove when work has been completed. COVENANTS REQUESTS FOR MODIFICATION All Covenants Requests For Modification MUST be submitted to Kuester Management Company for approval. You will be notified within 30 days on your status for approval of the project. Please see the attached Request for Modification Review Submittal Process document for more information. ADDING / EDITING RESIDENT INFORMATION ON THE HAMPTONS NEIGHBORHOOD DISTRIBUTION LIST addresses used to send out Hamptons blasts and monthly newsletters come from the homeowners profile. The profiles are located on the Hamptons website and are maintained by homeowners. Thus, if you change your address, you should go into your profile and update it. To update your profile: Go to and click on "resident login" on the left menu. After you sign in, go to "user profile" on the left menu and edit your resident information, including address. If there is a second homeowner, scroll down until you see Resident 6 First Name. Edit the information, including address, for the second resident. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes. For residents who are new to the Hamptons and/or never activated their Hamptons account, go to and look for Request login at the top of the left menu. Fill out the requested information and click submit. When you receive your login information, go back to the Hamptons website and follow the steps described above.

It s time to review and update our Hamptons neighborhood directory for We need to know if you ve had an addition to your family (even babies need pool tags) or if your growing youngsters want to be included or taken off the Babysitting, Pet Sitting, Mother s Helpers, Vacation Plant Care or Yard Work and Odd jobs lists. If you are new to the Hamptons, we are anxious to meet you, greet you in the Hamptons Highlights and provide you with this year s directory along with information about the Hamptons and free items and coupons. We also need to record some information so we can include you and your family in the 2014 directory and count you and your children for pool tags for the upcoming season. To add to or update your information, please or call Nora Streiner at / norachef@roadrunner.com Additionally, our directory contains advertising opportunities for our homeowners. If you own a business or provide a service and would like to get advertising space in this year s directory, please contact Nora at norachef@ roadrunner.com. 6 March 2014 Hamptons Highlights Page 6 MINUTES FROM BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING FEBRUARY 17, 2014 The February meeting of The Hamptons Homeowners Association was called to order at 6:42 pm. Homeowners in attendance were: Todd Kunz, Mike Smith, Dennis Pressley, Allison Holter- Soerensen, Judy DeBoer, David Wolf, Robin Bouchez, Dave Barton, Gary Breit and Nora Streiner. Darik Fernandez from Kuester and Bill Walsh and Madelyn Harper-Walsh were also present for the meeting. Treasurer s Report: Dennis provided information about the petty cash balance, year-end final expenses and homeowner HOA payments received. He also reported on income for the month and detailed information about the accounts. Committees Reports: Social Vixen Clubhouse Residents are not picking up their dogs waste from the clubhouse grounds, so the Clubhouse Chair is spending a lot of time removing dog waste. Doyers Clubhouse Two paid rentals on 1/4 and 1/12 and four unpaid: 1/7, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/30 (home school group, daisy scouts and girl scouts.) Repairs soon to be made on the pillars and woodwork. Locksmith fixed the deadbolt on the front door. Carpet and upholstery have been cleaned and the filters and bulbs have been replaced. Looking into rentals rules in relation to liquor liabilities, release forms/ waiver. Hospitality Requested new homeowner information from management company to make welcome visits and provide community information. Reports for this information have not been received since September The swim tags are going to be available earlier than last year for pickup; signs will be posted in advance. HOA dues must be paid up to- date to receive pool tags. Landscaping/Maintenance Monument signs will be installed in the next few weeks at Statesville Road/ Hwy. 21 entrance. Lighting and Irrigation system need seasonal maintenance and a few repairs. Pool Vixen pool will soon have new speakers. Replacing primary drain grates in both main and baby pools at both pool facilities per the Virginia Graham Baker Law. Cost of $2,400 is accounted for in CY14 Pool Budget. The pool rules, operating schedule and pool party booking instructions are being reviewed for the 2014 season and will be available shortly. Swim Team Head coach needed. SwimMAC inquired about using Vixen Pool to host the Senior 3 practice from 6:00-8:00 am during the summer months. David Wolf recommends SwimMAC be approved to use Vixen pool facilities contingent on receiving liability release form and the attendance of an on-site meeting to discuss community expectations. He also recommend Hamptons Swim Team Committee oversee SwimMAC pool use and enforce all procedures established during the onsite meeting for pool use. Lastly, he recommended Hamptons Swim Team Committee shall be responsible for addressing questions and responding to concerns related to pool use by SwimMAC. 7 March 2014 Hamptons Highlights Page 7 HAMPTONS HAMMERHEADS SWIM TEAM NEWS ADVERTISING IN THE HAMPTONS HIGHLIGHTS CALLING ALL HAMMERHEADS!! The Hamptons Hammerheads 2014 swim season is rapidly approaching! Swim team registration night will be Wednesday, April 2 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Please stop by the Vixen Clubhouse to complete the registration process, ask questions, place swim suit orders, and much more. Registration is open for ages 5 to 18. Those not living in The Hamptons may also join the team for a small additional charge. The registration fee is waived again this year for 15 to 18 year olds. Please visit the team website at for the 2014 SWIM SCHEDULE and OTHER important information about our team. PLEASE NOTE: RESIDENTS MUST BE CURRENT WITH HOA DUES TO PAR- TICIPATE ON THE TEAM! Order will be placed and the plan is to have the equipment installed in early spring. New Business: There is a Slow Children Playing sign down on Tallent Lane. Front page of By-Laws to be updated. Planned yard sale date is April 26. Extra banners are on order for the yard sale Management Company: Kuester reviewed quarterly HOA fees paid to-date. Kuester reviewed neighborhood home violations and complaints. Kuester will proceed with further action on any past-due delinquent 2013 and prior HOA fees. The meeting adjourned at 9:35 pm. The next board meeting will be held on Monday, March 17 at 6:30 pm at Doyers Clubhouse. Board of Directors meetings are held the 3 rd Monday of every month and are open to all homeowners. 10 Swim Lessons at The Hamptons Swim Club Management Group, Inc. Learn-To-Swim School 2014 Swim Club Management Group believes in providing children with a positive environment in which they can feel comfortable and learn basic water safety. We feel that through patience, encouragement, and frequent repetition of skills, your child will have a fun, safe and rewarding swimming experience. Classes are held Monday Thursday for 30 minutes for the four day session. Session dates are as follows: Class Description: Tadpole I and II (Ages 3-6)*: Tadpole I class is for a child who may be apprehensive in the water or who has never had swim lessons. Participants may not be comfortable with their face getting wet. This class introduces new little swimmers to the pool and helps them become acquainted with the pool and the use of flotation devices. Little swimmers will develop safe water habits in a fun and encouraging environment. Tadpole II class is for the beginner swimmer who is comfortable in the water but has not yet mastered certain skills. Participants should be comfortable well-adjusted to the water (don t mind getting their face wet) and eager to learn kicking and progressive paddle-stroke. Additionally they learn more about pool safety and developing independent floating skills. Minnows I and II (Ages 6-9)*: Minnow I swimmers learn front and back floating skills, the paddle-stroke, flutter kick, elementary backstroke, personal safety and the use of flotation devices. This class is for the school-age swimmer who has never had swim lessons. Minnows II swimmers continue to build confidence in their abilities by practicing paddle-stroke skills, floating, and rotary breathing without the aid of flotation devices. Children learn new skills such as treading water and survival floating. Lead-up strokes to the front crawl, back-stroke, sidestroke, breaststroke and elementary backstroke are also introduced at this level. Students must be comfortable in the deep end and be able to swim 25 yards without a flotation device. Dolphin (Ages 7 and up)*: In the Dolphin level, children refine the front crawl, backstroke, elementary backstroke, sidestroke and breaststroke. The butterfly is also introduced at this level. Dolphin swimmers continue to build endurance by swimming up to 200 yards. Stroke technique and endurance are emphasized. Stroke Clinic (Ages 8 and up): is an advanced level where students focus on stoke enhancements and more endurance. Open turns and treading water with rotary kick are introduced to students at this level. Students are also introduced to three new strokes: the inverted breaststroke, the trudgen crawl and the over arm sidestroke. *Classes maybe combined. Session I: June 9 June 12 Session II: June 16 June 19 Session III: June 23 June 26 Session IV: July 7 July 10 Session V: July 14 July 17 Session VI: July 21 July 24 Session VII: July 28 July 31 Costs: Semi-Private (2 students): Private: $ 20 per (1) 30 minute lesson (per student) $ 55 per session- (4) 30 minute lessons (per student) $ 30 per lesson (1) 30 minute lesson $ 95 per session (4) 30 minute lessons **** Payment is required at the time of registration and 72 hr notice required for refund. **** Enrollment is available during pool hours and must be done in person. I,, the enrolled participant, and/or the parent/guardian of the participant agree and understand that swimming is a hazardous activity. I recognize that there are risks inherent in the sport of swimming, including but not limited to, paralyzing injuries and death. The participant hereby agrees to participate in SCMG Swim/School and hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless SCMG Swim/School, SCMG, coaches, officers, directors, agents, and employees against any liability resulting from any injury that may occur to the participant while participating in the lessons. The participant also agrees to indemnify SCMG for any damages incurred or arising from any claims, demands, actions, or causes of action by the participant. The participant authorizes any representative of the Swim/School staff to have the participant treated in any medical emergency during his/her participation in the lessons. Further, the participant and/or parent/guardian agree to pay all costs associated with medical care and transport for the participant. 13 The Hamptons Request for Modification Review Submittal Process 1. Print the Request for Review form off of the website, or as attached to this form. 2. Complete the entire form including your name, date, address, lot number, , phone number and your signature on the second page. *Please write legibly. 2. Submit the completed Request for Review form to the management company for review. Please make sure to include all necessary supporting documentation such as pictures, plans, materials, plot plan, etc. You may submit your request three ways. Scan documents and to Fax: US Mail: c/o Kuester Companies, P.O. Box 3340, Fort Mill, SC Once your paperwork has been received, you will be notified via phone call or to confirm that your request has been submitted for review. 5. The management company will review your request and approve or deny. *The review process may take up to two weeks after receiving a completed request, so please make note of this when setting project start dates with sub-contractors. 6. Once your paperwork has been approved or denied you will receive a signed copy via or US Mail for your records. Split Rail: Dimensions (maximum span between posts shall be 10 feet; minimum post size shall be 4x4 inches; must have two 2x8 inch rails or three 2x6 inch horizontal rails per section.) Once you select the payment method, you connect to the Mutual of Omaha Bank Online Payments screen. Input your information in the required fields and submit your payment.
