1 The pools will be open the following days: Hunter Oaks Swim Club Saturday May 24 thru Monday, September 1, The pools are to be open during the following hours Beckford Glen Grayscroft Monday 11 AM to 8 PM 10 AM to 8 PM Tuesday 11 AM to 8 PM 10 AM to 8 PM Wednesday 11 AM to 8 PM 10 AM to 8 PM Thursday 11 AM to 8 PM 10 AM to 8 PM Friday 11 AM to 9 PM 10 AM to 9 PM Saturday 10 AM to 9 PM 10 AM to 9 PM Sunday 12 PM to 7 PM 12 PM to 7 PM On days when Union County Public Schools are in session: Beckford Glen Weekdays May 27-June 6 the pool will be open from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Monday-Thursday August the pool will be closed. Friday August 29 the pool will be open from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Grayscroft Saturday and Sunday September 6 & 7, 13 &14 -Weekdays beginning August 25 th the pool will be open from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, Labor Day hours will be 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. In order to participate on the Hunter Oaks Swim Team, all HOA dues must be paid in full by the time swim team registration opens. Once the pools are officially closed for the year, no pool parties will be booked as there is no lifeguard availability. If you plan on hosting a party at any of the pools with or without using the clubhouse, you will need to contact, at least a week in advance, Carolina Pool Management denise.carlton@charlotte-pmg.com in order for there to be proper lifeguard coverage. If your party will consist of 10 or more guests, you will be asked to pay for additional lifeguard coverage. Any pool parties with 50 or fewer guests, and registered with Pool Manager at least one week in advance, will have access to pool facilities at no cost. Any pool party with greater than 50 guests will require Board approval and will be charged a $65 fee that is paid to Hunter Oaks HOA. Any excessive mess, vandalism, etc. caused by you will be charged to the responsible homeowner and pool privileges may be revoked for a period of up to one year if decided by the Board of Directors. Residents may bring no more than five (5) guests per a household.

2 Hunter Oaks Swim Club The Hunter Oaks Board of Directors has approved the following rules: Pool FOBS A pool member roster will be maintained and pool personnel will allow entrance based upon the following: 1. Membership dues are currently paid in full. 2. You must swipe your pool fob at the gate. (The fob will allow you access during normal pool hours) if there is an error with the gate, or your fob does not allow you access, you must check with the guard on duty and they will check the member roster. Each family has been issued one pool fob per family. Extra or replacement fobs can be obtained thru Braesael Management (704) Immediate family is a person(s) living IN your household. Please refer to Guests for more information. Taking the improper amount of tags will result in the loss of pool privileges. You are to register your family member s names, children s ages and your phone number when receiving your tags. A phone number is needed in case of emergency. LOST FOBS will be replaced by contacting Braesael Management (704) or at hunteroaks@braesael.com. LOANING pool fobs will result in confiscation of fob. DO NOT DISCARD FOB AT THE END OF POOL SEASON. It will be used again the next year. ENFORCEMENT OF THE RULES THE POOL MANAGER AND LIFEGUARDS HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ENFORCE ALL THE RULES AND INSURE THE SAFETY OF ALL MEMBERS AND GUESTS. Violations of these rules will result in suspension of pool privileges. You will be asked to remove yourself from the pool grounds immediately. Any disagreement should be taken up with the Pool Manager. The lifeguards are employed to enforce the rules, not interpret them. Limit all conversations with the lifeguards while they are on duty. The guards are there for safety, not socializing. WITHDRAWL OF TAGS The following will result in withdrawal of tags by the Pool Committee: 1. Abuse of rules. 2. Non-compliance of rules 3. Loaning your pool fob to other individuals 4. Destruction of property

3 POOL HOURS Hours and dates are subject to change depending on usage and availability of guards. Please check the pool bulletin boards for additional changes to rules. The pools are subject to close if there is a thunderstorm/lightning in the area and also a six (6) hour delay should the pool be contaminated with bodily fluids. POOL GROUNDS Lounges, Chairs, & Tables: Available on a first come, first serve basis. Please clean up your area as you leave. Report damaged furniture to office. Pool furniture, with the exception of your own, is not to be removed from the pool area. You may bring your own chairs; however, you will need to take them with you when you leave. There will be no storing of personal chairs at the pool. Guard Rooms: These are for lifeguard use only. Please keep children out of the rooms, as the vinyl flooring is slippery when wet. These rooms are also referred to as the OFFICE. Playground: Play at your own risk. The lifeguard staff does not monitor the playground. Please report all defective equipment to the Pool Manager or Braesael Management. Picnic Tables and Grills: Available to all members. Please be considerate and clean up before you leave. Garbage bags are available in the office. Parties at Beckford Glen or Grayscroft Pools Any pool parties with 50 or fewer guests, and registered with Pool Manager at least one week in advance, will have access to pool facilities at no cost. Parking is limited to designated areas. NO PARKING in grass around volleyball court. UNLICENSED vehicles are not allowed. NO DOUBLE parking. NO OVERNIGHT parking. Vehicles will be towed at owner s expense.

4 POOL RULES BECKFORD GLEN POOL KIDDIE POOL- 5 years and younger only. Must be accompanied by adult. The lifeguards are NOT able to guard this pool. Any child in this area without an adult is to be sent to their parent Notify lifeguard if child is not with adult. Rubber pants made for swimming are to be worn by all children not yet potty trained. Please note this is for health reasons. If this rule is not adhered to, the parents will be subject to pool privileges being revoked. The Beckford Glen Pool will be closed to residents for use during Swim Team events. GRAYSCROFT WATER SLIDE Lifeguard will monitor the use of the slide for safety issues. Only one child/person per trip. (no chains) Child must be able to swim in order to go down the slide. (the lifeguard can give child swim test if needed) No flotation devices (floaties, inner tube, noodle, etc.) may be worn or used on the slide. No one (parent, sibling, etc.) may wait in the water at the bottom of the slide for child to exit There is not to be any sliding (including adults) during adult swim. FLOATATION DEVICES AND BALLS The following are permitted in moderation and will be at the discretion of the pool staff when pool is crowded. ONLY THE FOLLOWING FLOTATION DEVICES ARE TO BE PERMITTED: 1. Plastic inner tubes for non-swimmers only. An adult must accompany nonswimmers. Swim floats are allowed only in roped off section. A child using swim floats in large areas of the pool must be accompanied by adult. 2. Kickboards 3. Single noodles No rafts, surfboards, boats, baby pools, etc. will be permitted. Only the items listed above are permitted. No footballs or tennis balls are allowed in pool area for play, we do allow the use of soft water balls that absorb water for play. LAP LANES Members wishing to swim laps (at Beckford Glen) during regular pool hours may request the guards to put in place a lap lane. There will be no hanging on the ropes. Lap lanes are to be cleared for the lap swimmers. For adults 18 years and older who wish to have access

5 to swim laps at Beckford Glen from 6AM - 10AM Monday - Friday and Sunday, please contact Braesael Management to have fob access turned on for these time periods. 10 MINUTE ADULT SWIM At 10 minutes til the hour, an adult (18 years old and above) swim will be called. This rule is intended to give children a rest and adults unobstructed swim time, and give everyone the opportunity to visit the restroom to limit the number of accidents in the pool. The Adult Swim will not be called the first hour or the last hour of each operating day. Parents may use this time to swim with their infants. All children must have their entire body out of the water. Parents are not allowed to swim with their children and are not allowed to permit their children to swim in the roped off areas. This is not a time for children older than 5 to visit the kiddie pool. This rule will, as always, be enforced. This ruling is a suggestion of the Red Cross. UNDER 11 A parent or a caregiver must accompany all children under the age of 11. Children age 11 and over are eligible to swim without a parent or caregiver present at the pools. 11 AND OLDER RULE Anyone who is not accompanied by a parent will have to use the pool fob to enter the pool. The lifeguards have no way of checking the age of children entering and will instruct the child to go home and get their pool fob. If a parent wants to send a child to the pool then they must send the child with the family s pool fob. GUESTS OF 11 AND OLDER: These children may not bring a child/sibling/guest under the age of 11 into the pools. CAREGIVERS Anyone intending to bring a child to the pools on a regular basis (other than his/her own children) is required to have a Caregiver Form on file in the office. The sole purpose of this form is to verify that you, the parent, are aware that your children are at the Hunter Oaks Swim Club. Caregivers are not to leave children unattended at the pool. All children under the care MUST leave the pool at the time of the Caregiver. CAREGIVER S AGE A Caregiver must NOT be younger than 14 years of age to bring children into the Hunter Oaks Swim Club. Caregivers are not permitted to bring in guests while serving in the capacity of a Caregiver. NO SWIMMING If a lifeguard is not present, there is to be no swimming. This is to be enforced at all times during the year. Pool Privileges will be suspended if not adhered to. The only exception to

6 this is when we allow adults 18 years and older to use the Beckford Glen pool from 6AM 10AM for lap swimming and 8pm to 10pm. NO DIVING Our pools are NOT designed for diving. No matter HOW experienced you are at diving, your pool privileges will be revoked. SHOWER All swimmers must shower before entering the pool. This is necessary to cut down on the amount of oil that enters the pool. We all like CLEAN pools to swim in. SWIM ATTIRE Appropriate swim attire is to be worn on pool grounds. This is a family environment. No cut offs or thong suits will be permitted. ALCOHOL You must be of legal drinking age to consume alcoholic beverages on the property of the Association. The Association will not serve alcoholic beverages at any of its functions. If you must drink alcoholic beverages, drink responsibly. Alcoholic beverages must be covered with devices such as huggers. No glass containers are permitted. You will be asked to leave the Association s property if you become intoxicated. SMOKING You must be of legal age to buy tobacco products to smoke on the property of the Association. There is no smoking on the POOL DECK. Please be considerate of those that do not smoke; smoke in the designated areas (outside the fence of the pool). Please dispose of cigarettes properly. Do not extinguish them on the pool deck or throw them into the grass area around the pool. There will be no smoking inside the fences of the pool. E-cigarettes are not allowed to be smoked on or around the pool deck. FOOD ABSOLUTELY NO: GLASS containers, mugs, bottles, etc. (everyone is barefoot... THINK ABOUT IT) if broken glass enters the pool, the pool will have to be closed until all the glass is removed (also if the pool has to be drained the responsible party may be held accountable to pay to refill the pool) Chewing gum (it will melt and is impossible to clean off the deck) Leaving crumbs of cracker, gold fish crackers, cookies, wrappers, etc. (please pick up after yourselves so not to attract pests) Eating, drinking, or holding any items to be consumed IN the POOL, AROUND the POOL EDGE (deck) or ON the POOL STEPS.

7 Please parents, keep your children from walking around the pool or sitting on the steps while eating. In addition, please respect our pool by cleaning any food debris that you leave. If necessary, a broom and dustpan and also a hose are available for your use in the office.
