We are excited about our new concept and hope t our players. We are anxiously looking forward to another great year. We had solid Fall appearances arrival of our Spring seasons. We had a women doubles duo win the regional championships in Omaha Indoors in Dallas, Texas, February 1-4, We are thrilled about this opportunity. Both teams

Coaches decide which of their players will play in which Flight accor team. For example Player #1 and #2 enter Flight #1. Sept National Clay Court Championships Sophomore Aleksandra Durska picked up two wins over nationally ranked players on her way t Qualifying draw. Both Durska and Posada fell in the main draw to nationally ranked players fro Commonwealth University.

4 Oct University of Houston Fall Classic (Houston) - Jennifer DeSpain captured Flight #1 def. Texas Tech s Alenka Ovin, 6-4, 7-6(2). - Marjolein Van Dongen won Flight #3 def. Eva Soderkvist of Texas San Antonio 6-4, Mariana Barrios fell to Sonia Orellana of Texas Tech in the championship match (Flight #4), 6-3, DeSpain and Sedivec captured Flight #1 defeating Brooks/Daxon (Texas Tech), 8-5 Oct Hurricane Women s Tennis Invitational (Tulsa) - Aleksandra Durska won the singles crown (Flight #1) by upsetting Monika Sekulov (Kansas), 6-2, Bianca Posada fell to Cheryl Mallaiah (Kansas), 6-2, 6-1 for the third place (Flight #1). - Tulsa s Jana Sedivec and Marjolein Van Dongen reached the semifinal (Flight #3) when they fell to Brenna Shackleford (TCU) and Jenny Peterson (NMSU) respectively. - Mariana Barrios reached the final of Flight #4. She fell to EmilyHaylock (KU). - The duo Sedivec/DeSpain captured the doubles Flight #1 crown defeating Maciolek and Walt - Posada/ Durska (TU) fell to Haylock/ Lorenz (KU) for the championship, 8-4. Nov ITA Central Regional Championships at Omaha, Nebraska - The duo of DeSpain and Jana Sedivec captured the Central Region s doubles title at the 2000 ITA Central Regional Championships at Omaha, Nebraska. This win qualified them to participate in the Nation Indoors held in Dallas, TX, February 1-4, Sophomore Aleksandra Durska advanced into the quarterfinal round where she lost to Maria Phillips-Galoustova (OSU) 2-6, 3-6, 2-6. Oct All-American Championships: Aleksandra Durska won her first round against nationally ranked Raquel Kops-Jones in the first round of qualifying. Durska fell in the next round to Vladka Uhlirova from The University of Texas 7-6, 6-3. Bianca Posada lost in the first round of Main Draw singles to # 98 Christina Fusano of California 7-6, 6-4. Wrap up and Team Awards. The duo DeSpain and Jana Sedivec finished the season with a record of 12-1, winning three titl Jennifer DeSpain was named the Western Athletic Conference women s tennis player of the mo and was named Tulsa s all-time winning tennis player with 74 victories. Junior Jana Sedivec is nationally ranked #77.
