Streak..., W1 STAT BREAKDOWN TCU STAT Record K/S Hitting % A/S SA/S D/S B/S SCTING THE OPPONENT: COLORADO STATE -After dropping the season-opener to Duke, Colorado State has won two straight matches over UCF (3-1) and Northern Colorado (3-0) -Kirstie Hillyer leads the way with 44 kill and 3.67 kills per set to go along with an astonishing.425 hitting clip and 1.50 blocks per set -Five different Rams are averaging over 2.00 kills per set with three of those five players also hitting above.300 -Kate Oleksak is guiding the offense by dishing out assists per set and is also good for 1.50 digs per set -Amanda Young in anchoring the back row with 4.42 digs per set with Maddi Foutz good for 2.00 digs per set SCTING THE OPPONENT: UNC ASHEVILLE -UNC Asheville is coming off a 1-2 showing at the Benson Invitational in Georgia where the team s lone win came against George Mason (3-0) -Cara Guthrie leads the offense with 3.33 kills per set with Ava Cenema putting down 2.22 kills per set with a.372 hitting clip -Guthrie is also solid from the backrow and is picking up 3.67 digs per set while Madisen Zyburt got the start at libero with 3.67 digs per set -The Bulldogs 6-2 offense is under the leadership of Kailey Hackett (4.00 assists/set ) and Carter Kennedy (4.88 assists/set) SCTING THE OPPONENT: FLORIDA STATE -Florida State enters the weekend with an AVCA ranking of No. 15 and a 3-0 record after getting wins over Baylor (3-1), Illinois State (3-2) and UC Santa Barbara (3-2) to open the season -The Seminoles have two players getting over 3.00 kills per set so far with Natasha Calkins (3.64) leading the way followed by Milica Kubura (3.00) -Florida State has an impressive digs per set with Cecilie Woie anchoring the team in the backrow with 5.50 digs per set -Brianne Burkert is pacing the offense with 9.36 assists per set and is also good for 3.71 digs per set from the back row -Kubura and Taryn Knuth are shutting it down at the net for Florida State with 1.21 and 1.71 blocks per set, respectively, as the Seminoles are good for 2.93 blocks per set as a team RECAP: COWTOWN CLASSIC & RICE -The TCU volleyball team won its season opening tournament for the third straight season as they picked up two sweeps over SA and Coastal Carolina -The Frogs used a late comeback in set one to set the pace for the rest of the match against SA as they totaled 39 kills, 7 service aces and 8.0 total blocks on their way to the victory -TCU had to gut out the win on Saturday against Coastal Carolina as late surges proved to be the difference on its way to a second straight sweep -Anna Walsh was named MVP of the tournament as the junior was good for 16 kills, 2.67 kills per set, a.483 hitting clip and 1.33 blocks per set -In their first tournaments as Horned Frogs, freshmen Allye Beth Deaton and Dani Dennison also picked up all-tournament honors -TCU completed its weekend of sweeps with a 3-0 victory over Rice on Sunday as Abigail Buckingham led the way with 15 kills and a.303 hitting clip to go along with two blocks KRAMER COMES FULL CIRCLE -On Dec. 29, 2014, former TCU volleyball player Jill (Pape) Kramer was named the third head volleyball coach in program history. -Kramer was the first scholarship student-athlete for volleyball in school history and still holds multiple schools records including the single-season and career record for kills and total attacks. -Kramer had multiple stops before she ended up in Fort Worth. The San Antonio native began her collegiate coaching career at SA, before making assistant coaching stops at Alabama and Virginia. Kramer got her first head coaching gig at fellow Big 12 school West Virginia where she complied 66 wins in five years. WE HEART R FRESHMEN -The 2017 TCU volleyball recruiting class pulled in a No. 24 ranking according to the Top 30 Collegiate Recruiting Classes that was released this week by PrepVolleyball.com. -This marks the second straight season that TCU s incoming recruiting class is ranked. -After receiving their first-ever top-30 ranking last year, the Horned Frogs are one of three Big

SELLT! -The home of the TCU volleyball team, the University Recreation Center, has been one of the most packed and loudest venues in the Big 12 for the last five seasons. -With a capacity of 1,350, The Rickel at the Rec Center sold out for 12 of the 14 matches a season ago, including all eight Big 12 matches. -Since moving to the Rec Center in 2003, TCU has posted a record (.700). -So far this season, the Frog Fans have come out in force as TCU sold out the season opener against SA (1,350) while also bringing in 1,183 fans through the doors in the win against Coastal Carolina
