3 WHO IS TENNIS NSW? Tennis NSW is the governing body of Tennis in NSW and is a Member Associate (MA) of Tennis Australia. Tennis NSW currently supports 565 Clubs, Associations and Court Operators and over 140,000 registered participants through our affiliates and once we include Hot Shot and School participants we have over 180,000 players captured. Our PURPOSE is to get more people playing Tennis more often. Our ROLE is to provide value & support to over 560 affiliated clubs, venues & court operators who are serving our 140,000 registered players and 50,000 Hot Shot participants. Our VISION is to connect more people to tennis in NSW. We believe that we will grow our great game of tennis by working in PARTNERSHIP with our affiliated members, and supporting you to deliver, promote & grow tennis in your venues. In this booklet we have outlined the services, support & benefits that Tennis NSW provides to our affiliated members.

11 IMPORTANCE OF PLAYER REGISTRATION It is a key requirement of Tennis NSW Affiliation that Venues register ALL players and court users. This includes members, social players, coaching participants, school students and casual court users. Registering all of your players and court users allows your Club or Venue to demonstrate its value to Council and your Local Community. These numbers are also vitally important when we compete with other sports throughout the state for government funding. THE ADVANTAGES OF REGISTERING ALL COURT USERS WITH TENNIS NSW INCLUDE: THERE ARE TWO METHODS TO REGISTER YOUR PLAYERS: Free personal accident insurance for all registered court users. Greater understanding of who is using your facility and participating in our sport. Increased leverage with your local Council to demonstrate your venue usage Increased leverage with local business Helps Tennis to gain a competitive advantage over other sports when campaigning for funding to State Government Assists Tennis NSW with developing strategic plans and the allocation of funding, resources and support. 1. Log onto My Tennis and register your player via the affiliate tab on the left side of the screen. 2. Request an excel template from the Tennis NSW Affiliation team to complete and return to membership@tennisnsw.com.au where Tennis NSW will register the players on your behalf. Once you complete your affiliation for the 2018/19 year Tennis NSW will provide you with additional information on registering your players. Clubs who register their players prior to 30 September will be given priority access to the Sydney International Presidents Reserve. 15 TENNIS NSW Application Form APPLICATION FOR AFFILIATION Affiliation of Tennis NSW formalises the relationship between a tennis association, club, court operator or any other person or groups of persons which conducts tennis related activities of a kind or scale the Tennis NSW Board believes is sufficient to warrant Affiliation of Tennis NSW. Affiliates of Tennis NSW are provided with access to a diverse range of benefits, programs, services, initiatives and exclusive opportunities which aim to assist Affiliates to better promote, develop, grow and administer the Sport within their community. PLEASE NOTE: All new applications for Affiliation of Tennis NSW Ltd must be approved by the Tennis NSW Board, which meets bi-monthly. AFFILIATION AND PLAYER REGISTRATION PROCESS 1 RENEWAL: Affiliation application forms, associated documents and payment can be sent anytime, however they are expected by 30 June 2018 for renewal. Affiliates who have not renewed by 30 July 2018 will be sent a reminder notice with a further 60 day period before disaffiliation. 2 NEW APPLICATIONS: Affiliation application forms, associated documents and payment can be sent anytime, however, new Affiliate applications do require additional Board approval. 3 ONCE YOUR APPLICATION IS REVIEWED AND APPROVED: Affiliates will receive a welcome pack including more information on Tennis NSW services and more assistance with player registration procedures. Affiliates will be able to setup their custom player registration categories and start managing and registering participants. 4 Tennis NSW will keep in regular touch with all Affiliates throughout the year. AFFILIATION TYPE DEFINITION PRICE TOTAL Facility Affiliate Affiliates, who either own, have the head lease or have insurance requirements in their lease arrangement. The fee is worked out based on the number of facilities and number of courts you have. $435 per facility + $270 per court x x 270 = Non-Facility Affiliate Multi-Purpose Affiliate Associations who do not have their own facility but arrange and manager competitions on behalf of their affiliated clubs. These associations require public liability as well as directors and officers insurance which is included in this category.
