8 Providing community cycling sessions for all abilities Bikes and helmet provided, most sessions are free to beez card holders. Witton Park Cycle Centre: Learn To Ride Never learnt to ride a bike? Why not come and give it a go? Even if you ve never been on a bike before; it s never too late to start. Monday 10am 11:30am Thursday 10am 11:30am Saturday 10am 11:30am Please note: Spaces are limited and require booking Pedal Around The Park Build up your confidence and improve your stamina and skills at your own pace following the one mile circuit around the Witton Park Cycle Way. Monday Wednesday Friday 2:00-4:00pm 1:00-3:00pm 1:00-3:00pm NEW! Weavers Wheel Trail For the more confident cyclist, why not join our instructor led cycle ride exploring the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and sections of the Weavers Wheel cycle trail. These moderate paced rides and will involve some gradients and road sections. Wednesday 10:00am (lasting approx. 1.5 hours) All sessions start at the Witton Park Cycle Centre situated in Witton Park Pavilion, Preston Old Road, Blackburn, BB2 2TP. The sessions are FREE to beez card holders, failure to produce a beez card will result in a 2.00 hire fee Appropriate clothing & footwear must be worn at all times.
9 Family Pedal Around The Park Enjoy a family cycle ride around the park and join in our alternative outdoor family activities. Please not we have limited number of children s bikes, bringing your own is advised. Tuesday (Women and Girls) 4:30pm - 8pm Wednesday & Thursday 4pm-8pm (April-September) Saturday 12pm-4:00pm Please note riders may be asked to return their bikes within 2 hours at busy periods to avoid waiting times. They will help you improve your general health and wellbeing, may introduce you to new friends and help you discover new areas on your doorstep. Just 30 minutes a day of moderate exercise can benefit your health and our walks and cycle rides are designed to help you increase your level of exercise gradually. Please dress appropriately for the activity - sturdy footwear for walking and no loose clothing for cycling. Please note that some of the walks will involve field paths, stiles, gradients and rough ground.
