1 This spring, Bill 1: An Act to Reduce School Fees was passed by the Government of Alberta. As a result, there are no basic school fees for 2017/2018 The Division has been directed through Ministerial Order to Cease charging fees or costs for textbooks, workbooks, photocopying, printing or paper supplies. Only charge fees approved by the Minister of Education. Only charge fees up to the amounts in the schedule approved by the Minister of Education. Only charge amounts to cover projected costs of providing for the subject matter of the charge. Post each school s approved fee schedule on the school s website.
