4 President s Message Helping People Achieve a Truly Better Life and a Way Forward My father retired from a spinning company in 1930 and opened a small store. I was in the third grade. The praise I received from our customers for running the store by myself when my father was out was my sole source of hope in getting through those dark years. Since our founding, we have believed that meeting each individual s needs is indispensable to enabling people with vision difficulties to see well. We are convinced that matching eyeglasses with a customer s face, characteristics and personality will fully bring out that person s attractiveness. As an eyeglass retailer with a long history, we have the potential to create new approaches with worldwide appeal by combining Japanese insistence on high quality, emotional bonds with customers, and the best of our country s culture and technologies. The letters in the MANDALA spell PARIS MIKI lined up in alternating directions, giving the design a sense of rotation.
