2 PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE Smithville Parks and Recreation Committee advises the Board of Aldermen on any improvements of additions they deem important for the City Parks and Recreation system. The Committee may also provide reports or other documents to the Planning and Zoning Commission related to any improvement or amenity in accordance with the Parks and Recreation Masters Plan. The Committee shall have seven (7) members, which shall consist of the Mayor; one (1) member of the Board of Aldermen and five (5) citizen members. Members shall have been residents of the City of Smithville for at least one (1) year immediately prior to their appointment and shall hold office for a period of three (3) years (staggered) or until their successors are duly appointed. Smithville also offers a full service campground, four shelter houses, tennis/pickleball courts, a driving range, fishing in two lakes, a basketball court, a downtown courtyard, a cross country track, walking/biking trails and three play structures.

4 YOUTH SPORTS Smithville Parks and Recreation organizes over 1,000 kids between the ages of in the Smithville surrounding area. Each youth recreation activity teaches the basic fundamentals through fun and engaging games. Each session is to develop motor and social skills and most of all have FUN! Our vision is to give back to the community. Each sponsorship allows you to help us give back to the programs, but it also shows the commitment you have to the City of Smithville! Promote your business through this affordable and thriving outlet! HERITAGE PARK Price includes professional printing and installation. The banner will be in full color, 3x6 sign mounted on the outfield baseball/softball fence and 4x6 sign mounted to the left field foul line fence. There is an option to have the sign facing the road to have the opportunity to advertise to the millions that drive through to Smithville Lake.
