There are three divisions for competitive trampoline in Australia. Levels, Age and International. Athletes who are interested in doing trampoline as a competitive sport begin by competing in the National Australian Levels Division. There are currently 10 competitive levels which cover athletes from complete beginners (Level 1) to aspiring Olympic Trampolinists (Level 10). Competitions for the levels stream run both in WA and interstate. Levels Athletes represent their clubs and their performances contribute to their clubs over all rankings both in WA and Nationally. At each levels competition athletes strive to pass their level (a minimum standard set by the Australian Trampoline Sports Commission) in order to progress and move up to their next level. When an athlete reaches or exceeds the level which corresponds to their age they are eligible to compete in the Age division. Age athletes try to achieve scores which will allow them to become WA state representatives allowing them to compete for WA at the Australian National Championships. International athletes are the best of the best and they aim to reach scores which will allow them to represent Australia and compete internationally.

Why not volunteer at Peak? There are many ways you can get involved just contact us on admin@peaktrampoline.com.au for more information. What Do Ribbons Mean? This year WA made a slight change to the competitive structure by introducing banded events. These are currently aimed at level 1 & 2 and are designed with the aim of encouraging participation in the lower levels of the sport. They are designed to be a FUN introduction to the competitive side of the sport. The idea is to get the athletes to set high standards for themselves early on in their trampoline career. Athletes are awarded Ribbons based on their performances. PeaBlue Ribbons are the highest ranked ribbons and are for excellent performances Red Ribbons is the second highest ranked ribbon and is for those who have passed their level but have not quite excelled in their performance Green Ribbons are the third highest award and are for athletes which have narrowly missed out on passing their level. Finally, there are the Yellow Ribbons which are for athletes have made too many mistakes and who are probably not having a very good day
