If you are missing a pair of glasses, see the Operations Manager. If, in the future, you have lost an item here at the center, let the office know and leave your name and telephone number so that we can notify you in the event your lost item is found. If you are donating items, please be sure to notify us of your contribution. We have had items left in the lobby and we are not sure if they are donations or someone simply forgot them and we are in a quandary as to what to do with the items, so please let us know. It was from our sister senior center in TITUSVILLE, PA and it contained several of their newsletters, information about their town, and a copy of their menu for their equivalent to the Seniors At Lunch program. Their programs are similar to ours, although I don t think they are as big as we are. When comparing the BINGO, they have a prize of $25.00 tops while we pay $25.00 as a minimum. They do have a Wii System and are involved in competition with other groups. They would like to become PEN PALS with our members, so, if you re interested in writing to them, their address is: Titusville Area Senior Citizens Corp. 714 East Main St., Titusville, PA Anyone interested in reading the materials from them will find it in the Operations Managers Office. At our last meeting, the Board of Directors has approved the purchase of a Wii System for the NBSC when the space becomes available with the addition of the modular units. We have received copies of drawings which represent the type modular units we expect to have donated to the center. We are a little surprised to find the drawings indicate the modular units are 60 X 23 4 rather than the 56 X 25 units we originally thought we would be getting. This creates no problem except that we must now change our information to the city for permitting of the units. Frank Nutt and I may actually have to go physically to see the units to make sure we have the correct data. We will continue to keep you informed as we get new information. The board is still looking for someone experienced in preparing taxes for non-profit organizations. If you know of anyone who can assist in this effort, please let the Operations Managers know. Various instructors spoke about the activities they oversee and answered questions from the new members. Ferrel Mazzatto spoke briefly about what other activities were available at the center and took the new members on a tour of the center. The atmosphere was relaxed and filled with laughter. We had such a great time that we plan on doing this again soon.
