It is going to rain! COMPETITION MEMO Program Shirts - All athletes still bring BOTH the RED and BLACK program shirts (just in case). o You must have your Summit shirt on when we go to warm-ups. You ll give them to your team rep once we start warm-up. o See itinerary for correct shirt Practice Clothes Bring Black practice top, BLACK shorts, Gold bow. General Admission: Family and friends that DID NOT purchase a WDW Park Hopper through the USASF may purchase a one day admission for $25 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports ticket booth. Discounted Multi-Day WDW Park Hopper tickets are available for purchase through Varsity at Celebrity Hall (during registration hours). WDW Park Hoppers, purchased through Varsity, include admission into all four of Disney s Theme Parks as well as 5 days admission into the ESPN Wide World of Sports and all venues. Performance Order and Scoring - Each team will compete Saturday, May 3rd and their final scores from that day will determine if they advance to Finals. All finalists will be announced in the Varsity Base Camp with the exception of the final divisions in each venue. Saturday's order of competition was randomly drawn in our office. Sunday's performance order will be the reverse order of competition from Saturday for those teams who make it to Finals. Saturday's performance will be considered the semi-final round of each division. Sunday's performance round will be the Finals of each division. For more about The Summit Reveal, please read below. The Summit Reveal - The Summit reveal will be held in the Varsity Base Camp (with the exception of the final divisions in each venue) which is located on the lawn behind the HP Field House and past the soccer field. Look for the big green and white tent. Fun for all! There will be a DJ, games for family members of all ages as well as scheduled Disney Character appearances and several meet and greet opportunities with Olympian Nastia Liukin! Each team's reveal will begin approximately an hour after their division is completed. Please check the detailed schedule once you arrive. The following will be the breakdown of how many teams will advance from Day 1 to Day 2: o All divisions with 10 or less teams in Semi Finals will have 5 teams advance to finals o All divisions with teams in Semi Finals will have 50% of the division advance to finals (Example: 15 teams in Semi Finals equals 8 teams in Finals) o All divisions with 20 or more teams in Semi Finals will have 10 teams in the division advance to finals Parking: Parking at the DWWOS is free. VIP parking area for a fee is available, but parents usually find parking in the free lots. Photography and Video Policy - Because we take the safety and security of our participants seriously, our policy is to protect your privacy and that of all participants. Only official press from newspapers, magazines, etc. will be allowed to shoot pictures during our event with professional equipment. All press requests will be taken seriously and a contract must be signed prior to clearance being given. We hope that you understand the seriousness of this issue and give us your full support. For press clearance, please Sheila Noone at snoone@varsity.com. Universal Event Photography - Each team will have the opportunity to have their picture taken prior to their rehearsal. Order forms are available on if you would like to purchase them. You may make as many copies as needed. Please have the completed order forms with you when you have your picture taken. Results from all divisions will be posted as soon as they are announced, as well as behind-the-scenes pictures, and special video features. Is there a parent/fan area - There is a parent fan area where parents and fans can get an up close view of routines. However, it is not right up front it is right in front of the judging panel riser. Please pack it out and make it loud! Parents, if available, please wear ACE shirts or wear Red/Black/Yellow let s show our colors to support ACE teams!!!! Sign Out You are required to sign with your team rep. Please remember to meet your team rep after your awards. Video Cameras - Parents ARE NOT allowed to video routines. Photographer - LARGE personal cameras are not allowed in the DWWOS. Small cameras and cell phone cameras are allowed. Universal Event Photography will be available to purchase photos. Acceptable Outerwear - You are required to wear your warm-up to awards (if you purchased one). Based on the weather, we will make a determination if you have to wear it during the day. Rain is forecast for the weekend; the jacket is going to be useful. Expect the Venues to be pretty cool/cold. o If you did not order warmups (try to match teams): Only the Black Summit Shirt over your uniform is allowed.
