Griffen has worked hard to bring you four fantastic themes for all of you to enjoy this year. The first of which is Indiana Jones, a series of classics which everyone should see. I can t wait for all of you to participate in the themed activities that we have planned for this upcoming fellowship. Each chapter better be prepared to battle it out. I can t wait to get to know every single Arrowmen that has made Echockotee into the strongest and best run lodges not just in the section but the entire nation. I believe that now more than ever is critical for our younger Arrowmen to step up and take on leadership positions. Young men need to step up and take on either a chapter leadership or get involved in a lodge committee. This will not only grow your leadership but also serve our lodge and their fellow scouts. Our lodge has limitless amount of opportunities to get involved with from training to echo shows to ceremonies, so many opportunities to get involved in the lodge. I can t wait to see everyone at our upcoming order of the arrow events! Spring fellowship is right around the corner, and right after that we have Section Conference. Also, if you are brotherhood eligible don t forget to sign up to seal your brotherhood into the Order. We are going to have a great year this year and see you at Spring fellowship! I m honored to be the Echockotee Lodge 2018 historian and I am looking forward to this year and winning the Kings Cup during Section Conference. 5 Echockotee Lodge 200- North Florida Council 87 Order of the Arrow Boy Scouts of America Are You Ready For Section Conference? By Justin Cowell 5 Section Conference is being held this year by Osceola Lodge and will be at Camp Miles on April 13-15th. This event happens annually and is one of the two opportunities a year that our lodge gathers with other lodges from the section. You can expect a wild weekend that previously featured activities ranging from hilarious dance competitions between lodge chiefs to food eating competitions and even trying to catch a greased watermelon. During Section Conference, you can meet fellow brothers from other lodges in Florida, learn about different aspects of the Order of the Arrow and compete against the other lodges. There is something for everyone at Section Conference and we hope to see all of our members at Camp Miles. More information will be announced at Spring Fellowship! 6 6 The Feather Apieka Chapter Reports Oglala Hey Echockotee! Apieka had an awesome time at Winter fellowship. Congrats to all the new leadership and new vigil members. We are planning to have several elections very soon. Apieka is so excited about Spring Fellowship. Its going to be awesome! We cannot wait to see everyone there. -Preston McClintock, Apieka Chapter Chief Elemukulek Zach Baker Elemukulek chapter chief elections are going well and we are about to have tapouts. I am looking forward to be the Elemukulek 2018 chapter chief and are chapter cannot wait for spring fellowship. We also had so much fun staffing camporee. -Zachary Baker, Elemukulek Chapter Chief We have done elections at Troop Two and Troop Twenty Six and we are having another election on the 27th of February. We have been hard at work doing many exciting things. First off, we have four members doing their brotherhood this fellowship. Next, we have been planning out a leadership day camp for February 3rd. Our chapter is planning great things for the year and has already achieved some of those goals. We recently had elections of new officers in our chapter, and are currently planning elections to add more members to join us in this great brotherhood society. We are excited to see what the lodge has planned for us this year and hope to have a great year in the OA. Big congratulations to both Aaron Medley, Ethan Guckenberger, and Mike Pannell for earning the Vigil Honor! Saturiwa also placed gold level in JTE and first place in Publications. Finally, congratulations to Historian Cory Boudreaux on his new lodge position.
