1 Poinsettia Palette January 2014 Newsletter of the Poinsettia Painters Chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters, Ventura County CA Issue 1 Presidents Message Happy New Year Everyone! Is it just me or, did 2013 just fly by? I am looking forward to working with you in the coming year. We have some special projects in the planning stages. Your new board is hard at work planning wonderful things for Mona and Liz are working on fun and instructional programs for the meetings. Karen has lined up some beautiful projects for the paint-ins and has started on the Mystery Paint-In also. The Christmas party was lots of fun. Thanks again to Mona, Liz, Susan, Carla, and Karen for all the hours you put in painting all the Gingerbread goodies! There were surprises and even a gingerbread make and take. With the holidays behind us, the decorations packed away for awhile, it is time to start painting. If you are not sure what to paint, you can download free projects at Paint Works, Artists Club and SDP websites. Don t forget to sign-up with Karen for the January, February, and March paint-ins. I hope to see all of you at the meeting on January 13 th.
