CHAIRMAN S WELCOME The Chairman welcomed all to the meeting, particularly the following people; Chairman of the NSW Cricket Board John Knox NSW Cricket Board Members Patricia Forsythe, Richard Timbs and Marshall Rosen Chairman Sydney Cricket Association Andrew Falk and Deputy Chairman Sydney Cricket Association Craig Hambleton, Life Members NSWCCA, Mike Silver OAM, Mr J Moriarty OAM, Denis Broad OAM and Simon Moore, General Manager Cricket Performance David Moore, General Manager Community Cricket Ivan Spyrdz, General Manager Sydney Sixers Jodie Hawkins, All Zone Administrators in attendance, and All CNSW staff in attendance. The Chairman highlighted the performances of the Women s Under 15 and Under 18 ACT/NSW Country sides in winning national titles, along with the Men s Open Country side in taking out the national Country Championships. He also noted the success of the Plan B Regional Bash with the new four team pool formats. He also highlighted to realigning of boundaries in the southern part of the state because of the MOU with Cricket ACT, which saw the formation of the Greater Illawarra and ACT Southern Districts zones. He thanked those involved in this process and noted that it was appropriate that zone boundaries in the northern part of the state be examined. He welcomed new delegates Craig Howson (Greater Illawarra) and Boyd Brennan (ACT Southern Districts). 2. DECLARATION OF DELEGATES Mr Koetz moved, Mr Wood seconded that the nominated delegates as listed in Business Paper (attached as appendix A) be elected 3 NOTICE: The Secretary read the following notice convening the meeting: - Notice is hereby given that in accordance with Clause 14.1 of the Objects and Rules of the Association the Thirty Second Annual General Meeting of the New South Wales Country Cricket Association will take place in The Greenhouse, New Lambton Bowling Club on Saturday 11th August 2018 commencing at 4.00pm for the purpose of transacting the following business as set out.

The following appointments of proxy nominations have been received: Rob Pye for Paul Dilley (North Coastal) Eric Koetz for Michael Erdeljac (Riverina) Paul Deaves for Glenn Rowlands (Central Coast) Mr Robinson moved, and Mr Wood seconded the motion that the apologies and proxy appointments as read be approved 5. MINUTES Thirty First Annual General Meeting of the NSWCCA held 12th August 2017 at Cobram Barooga Golf Club Mr Marjoribanks moved, and Mr Psarakis seconded the motion that the minutes as circulated be adopted. 6. ADOPTION OF THIRTY SECOND ANNUAL REPORT The Chairman moved the adoption of the Thirty Second Annual Report and in so doing referred to the various activities of the Association during the season. He welcomed the support of the CEO of CNSW Andrew Jones, Chairman of the NSW Board John Knox and his fellow Board members, highlighting that Cricket NSW is the major sponsor of Country Cricket. The Chairman also thanked all other sponsors of Country Cricket, as well as his fellow Committee Members. The Chairman highlighted the efforts of the NSW Men s Open team taking out the One Day Shield at the National Championships, as well as the outstanding performance of the inaugural NSW Women s team. He expressed his appreciation of the many local councils who supported Country Cricket as well as the commitment of the large number of volunteers. He was delighted to advise the meeting that financial support had been gained in some instances from local councils either in monetary terms or in-kind support. Mr Clayton Mr Clayton noted that the provided a snapshot of country cricket for the previous season. He noted the detailed information contained in the report, in particular the match scoresheets, statistics as well as the increase in photos which further enhanced the report. The report also recognised the support of umpires, groundsmen and the media. A highlight was the innovation where cap numbers for NSW Male and Female Country representatives since the commencement of the Australian Country Championships had been included. He thanked Mr Whitehouse for his efforts on the preparation of the annual report. In closing, he thanked retiring Country Committee Members Dennis Cox and Graeme Creighton for their guidance and friendship. Mr Marjoribanks moved, and Mr Clayton seconded the adoption of the Annual Report 2017/18.

3 7. STATEMENT OF INCOME AND EXPENDITURE AND BALANCE SHEET The Country Committee had been previously provided and accepted the Statement of Income and Balance Sheet. Mr Marjoribanks thanked the NSW Board for their generous support of Country Cricket, in particular the substantial increase in the season grant for the coming season. Mr Psarakis moved, and Mr Wood seconded the motion that the Statement of Income and Expenditure and the Balance Sheet (as previously circulated) for the year ended 30th June 2018 be received and adopted. 8. RATIFICATION OF NEW ZONES GREATER ILLAWARRA and ACT SOUTHERN DISTRICTS Mr Marjoribanks moved, Mr Psarkis seconded the ratification of the new Zone Boundaries, and as such the formation of the two new Zones being Greater Illawarra and ACT Southern Districts 9. ANNOUNCEMENT OF DELEGATES TO THE NSWCA The Chairman advised details of the Delegates as per the Business Paper distributed to the meeting. Mr Koetz moved, and Mr Deaves seconded the motion that the nominated Delegates to the NSWCA as per the Business Paper distributed to the meeting be confirmed. Mr Marjoribanks thanked retiring delegates Dennis Cox and Graeme Creighton for their commitment and passion to Country Cricket. 10. ELECTION OF OFFICE BEARERS Mr assumed the chair to conduct of the election of Office Bearers. CHAIRMAN DEPUTY CHAIRMAN M P Marjoribanks, having been duly nominated was declared elected unopposed, Mr T Psarakis having been duly nominated was declared elected unopposed. ADDRESS BY PAUL MARJORIBANKS Mr Marjoribanks was honoured to be re-elected as Chairman of Country Cricket. It was a role he was very proud to undertake and represent Country Cricket. He noted the success of the ACT/NSW Country teams at national level and highlighted the opportunities it has provided for country players at national level. 11. ANNOUNCEMENT OF 2018/19 COUNTRY SELECTION COMMITTEE The Chairman advised details of the 2018/19 Country Selection Committee as per the Business Paper distributed to the meeting. Mr Robinson moved, and Mr Wood seconded the motion that the 2018/19 Country Selection Committee as per the Business Paper distributed to the meeting be confirmed. 12. ANNOUNCEMENT OF 2018/19 JUDICIARY COMMITTEE The Chairman advised details of the 2018/19 Judiciary Committee as per the Business Paper distributed to the meeting. Mr Pye moved, and Mr Nicholls seconded the motion that the 2018/19 Judiciary Committee as per the Business Paper distributed to the meeting be confirmed. 13. APPOINTMENT OF 2018/19 AUDITORS Mr Psarakis moved, and Mr Robinson seconded the motion that the firm of Pitcher Partners be elected as NSWCCA Auditors for 2018/ SPECIAL BUSINESS 14.1 Announcement of eight (8) Zone Administrators The Chairman advised details of the eight (8) Zone Administrators for 2018/19 as per the Business Paper distributed to the meeting Mr Howson moved, and Mr Deaves seconded the motion that the Zone Administrators as per the Business Paper distributed to the meeting be confirmed.

4 14.2 Announcement of the eight (8) Zone Umpire Liaison Officers The Chairman advised details of the eight (8) Zone Umpire Liaison Officers for 2018/19 as per the Business Paper distributed to the meeting. Mr Dilley moved, and Mr Lowbridge seconded the motion that the eight (8) Zone Umpire Liaison Officers as per the Business Paper distributed to the meeting be confirmed Announcement of 2018/19 Match Referee and Match Observer Panel The Chairman advised details of the Match Referee and Match Observer Panel for 2018/19 as per the Business Paper distributed to the meeting. Mr Frecklington moved, Mr Robinson seconded that Ian Thomas be appointed as 2018/19 Country Umpires Advisor 14.4 Appointment of Public Officer The Chairman advised the meeting that in accordance with the provisions of the Association s Incorporation Act 2010 the Association was required to appoint a Public Officer. Mr Hogg moved, and Mr Deaves seconded the motion that Mr Bruce Whitehouse (Country Programs Manager) be elected to the position of Public Officer Financial Report 2018/19 Mr Whitehouse read the following statement: The NSW Cricket Board has recently approved a budgeted financial allocation of $4,210,000 to Country Cricket NSW, Cricket Performance Department and Game Development Department for the 2018/19 financial year to cover all Country based programs for the coming season. The Committee of Management wishes to record its appreciation to the NSW Cricket Board for its ongoing support of the Association s programs and events. The Committee of Management will again be looking to maintain close control on all areas of expenditure. With the support of all members of the Association in the coming season the financial targets set should be achievable. The Committee of Management would also like to record its appreciation to the following sponsors in the past and coming seasons: - McDonald s, Kookaburra, Transport for NSW, Cricketers Arms, Port Stephens Shire Council, Dubbo Regional Council, Tamworth City Council, Albury Council, Cricket Albury Wodonga, Armidale Sports Council and Dubbo Regional Council Mr Marjoribanks moved, Mr Hogg seconded that the financial report for season 2018/19 be received Nomination of Life Membership NSW Country Cricket Association (NSWCCA) John (Tim) Grosser Mr Psarakis spoke to the nomination of Tim Grosser for Life Membership of NSWCCA, outlining his long-term contribution to Country Cricket as a player, administrator, and as a NSW Country Selector. Mr Psarakis moved, Mr Silver seconded the nomination of Tim Grosser as a Life Member of NSWCCA. On behalf of Mr Creighton, Mr Psarakis read a citation outlining the extensive history of Mr Hogg s involvement in the game as a player, and as an administrator, and his commitment to country cricket over many many years. Mr Marjoribanks also spoke in support of the nomination, highlighting his long-term commitment to country cricket. Mr Psarakis moved, Mr Marjoribanks seconded the nomination of OAM as a Life Member of the NSWCCA.

5 15. GENERAL BUSINESS John Knox Chairman NSW Board Mr Knox was thanked the meeting for the opportunity to speak at the meeting. He noted his close affiliation to country cricket, having been brought up in Albury, and noted many days playing cricket in the region. He also congratulated Mr Grosser and Mr Hogg of becoming Life Members of the NSWCCA. Mr Knox then provided an update, covering: The appointment of Illawarra s Phil Jaques as NSW Blues Coach, The ongoing success of our Women s sides at national level, Alex Blackwell originally from the Riverina, on being appointed to the NSW Cricket Board, The pathway sides continue to go from strength to strength, winning the majority of the national competitions, The success of the ACT/NSW Country side in national championships, and the opportunity it has provided country players, Country continues to produce players for all state sides and noted the efforts of Jason Sangha to date, It was important commercially that the game continues to grow, and the success of the TV rights deal is a reflection of that, There will be further investment in staff, with the Community Cricket Department looking at an increase of 34 staff in the coming year Country Cricket Mr Knox outlined the following: He was fully aware of the challenges presented, but this also provides opportunities, A review of Country Cricket was nearly finalised, The Plan B Regional Bash was important in aiding the growth of Twenty 20 cricket in regional NSW, Shield games would continue to be taken to regional NSW, and he thanked the many volunteers for their support. In closing, he acknowledged the honour of Life Membership of the NSWCCA for Tim Grosser and and noted the incredible efforts of Mr Hogg at NSW Board level, being a major contributor. He wished Mr Hogg the best as he was stepping down from the Board.
