Chapter money and member s efforts have been utilized by doing the following projects: Installed Know The Difference and Eurasian Milfoil signs at Vilas and Oneida County Lakes. Purchased and distributed 50,000 Know The Difference license holders. Members trained in boater safety offered classes throughout Vilas and Oneida Counties. Support Kids Fishing days with money and personnel. Donated to the Ben Bendricks Scholarship Fund. Purchased 10 handicap piers for various lakes. Assisted financially with improvements of boat landings throughout Vilas and Oneida Counties. Financial support to Three Lakes Fish & Wildlife Improvement Assoc. Financial support to Trophy Lake Research Project by the DNR Financial support for stocking bluegills in the Eagle River Chain. Donated half the cost of publishing Muskies, Inc. History Book. Stocking of over $50,000 worth of muskies in area lakes Contributed financially to new park and dock on Yellow birch Lake. Hosted state and international functions. Host of the Spring Classic Muskie Tournament on the Eagle River Chain and the Fall Classic Muskie Tournament in Three Lakes. Sponsor the $1,000 Headwaters Chapter of Muskies Inc. Memorial Scholarship at the Natural Resources School at UW Stevens Point, WI. The Headwaters Chapter has spent over $1 million in the last several years on the above projects!! The Headwaters Chapter was the recipient of the Wis. Can t say enough about how Jim has continued to increase our sales year after year. Thanks Jim, we couldn t have done this without you. Many thanks to all fellow members for selling the boat raffle tickets. Our Headwater Chapter Youth Kids Fishing Tips, held at the High Pines Campground had a total of 178 kids attend this year. Special thanks to Jim and Carol Heffner for making this event successful. We had a great time at our annual fall outing on LOTW Canada, at Redwing Lodge. Mike, Ann and their crew really made us feel special. Not only did they put on a free meal for us along with a special Welcome cake for our chapter, they gave a free week stay to one of our members staying there. Thanks to Glenn Matula for managing this event. Lucky winner was Leroy Kibble. We had 31 members attending with 90 fish released. Largest releases were : Jay Hollnagel 49 ¾ Pattie Miller 48 Releasing fish were: Tom Ralf 4, Chris Sosinski 5, Tim Sykora 1, Kip Cramer 2, (Junior) Zach Scherer 4, Jim Edwards 6, Fred Brogle 2, Pattie Miller 6, Jeff Miller 5, Fredrick Janick 4, Ed Martins 6, Jay Hollnagel 8,Dale Peterson 1, Chris Benson 2, Kevin Pepin 5, Brian Hagen 4, Joe Koschnik 2, Tom Pfeffer 2, Ken McAffee 2, Bob Dow 2, Bob Jacobs 1, Rick Koschnik 3, and me 6. Please send your Enduro forms to me by the 20 th of October. Late sign up will be held in the lobby of the Eagle River Inn the morning of the event from 7 to 8 am. Fish anywhere from 7am. to 4pm. All fish 30 and larger will be eligible for a prize. If you are arriving late, please give me a call all paying $20.00 to fish are entered in the big fish pot. Largest Musky released during fishing hours wins the big fish pot. We are still looking for members to fish the Chapter Challunge on the 27 th. 3 Minutes for Headwaters Directors Meeting, Sept. 9, Minutes from Headwaters Chapter Muskies, Inc. Sept. 9, 2015 Meeting was called to order by President Bill Jacobs at 7:05 pm Minutes: Motion to approve minutes 1st Jim Heffner 2nd Dan Pudlo Motion Carried Treasurers Report: Glenn Matula Income $6,892 Expenses $10, Balance $26, Motion to approve 1st Dan Pudlo 2nd Jeff Miller. Motion Carried RVP Report: Jeff M. stated they had an Executive meeting last night. They are in the second phase of reaching dropped members. There will be three more mailings. They gave the OK for Tony Grant to promote Muskies Inc. out east. The 50th Anniversary Banquet and Symposium are set to go. There are eight papers, as of now, that will be presented at the Symposium. This event will take place March at Minnetonka, MN. Jeff will propose for Muskies Inc. to provide free Junior Memberships to new Juniors only. The Junior may not have a parent who is already a member. This is for new members only. There are 45 Juniors who are signed up by themselves. More than likely, the majority of these Juniors are from Headwaters. Alliance Report: Jim Heffner. Nothing to report at this time. Chapter Challenges: LOTW went great. There were 35 in attendance. Most of the people were there Saturday to Saturday. They had warm weather. This was the first year at Red Wing as a group. The hospitality was excellent. They went over and above to accommodate everyone. The cabins all had air conditioning which was super with all the warm weather. 90 fish were caught. Jay H. had the largest at 49 3/4". Parttie M. out fished her hubby, Jeff! Way to go, Pattie!!!! There were four fish caught over 49". Next year's dates will be over Labor Day weekend, Sept. 3-10, Old Business: Director's Dinner - Dan Pudlo, President Bill Jacobs, and Joe Koschnik will check into and make plans for it. New Business: Jeff Miller noted we renewed our dues with the Eagle River Chamber and was wondering why we could not have a booth at the Alliance. It was stated we had checked into this before and we can not have a booth there. Jeff also informed us the National is looking for donations for the 50th Anniversary and Symposium. He made a motion Headwaters donates $1,000 for M.I. Banquet/Symposium. 2nd Dan Pudlo After discussion, Dan P. amended the motion to donate $1,000 for the Symposium only. 2nd Jeff M. Motion Carried Friday/Saturday there are 5 vets participating in the Wounded Warriors in Action musky fishing. Motion by Louie Dreger to give them each a sweatshirt, t-shirt, hat, and a crying towel from Headwaters. 2nd Chris S. Motion Carried Membership: Jim Chamberlin reported we have 321 members with 14 drops. Couple local dropped members will be contacted by other members of club to encourage them to renew their membership. Each member who sold 10 books or more of raffle tickets will receive a lure. These will be available at the next meeting. Fish Report: Dale Peterson stated we have 499 registered as of today. 90 fish were caught at LOTW. Some of these may still need to be registered. For more info, see Dale's fish report. Newsletter Report: Dale P. reported newsletter is ready to go. He needs President's Report and Secretary's report by Friday at the latest. Correspondence: President Bill Jacobs had none to report. Youth Report: Jim Heffner stated he purchased two reels from R & M Muskie Shop to replace worn out reels on rods for Kids Fishing Tips. There were 178 people in attendance for Kids Fishing Tips this summer. Scholarship Report: President Bill Jacobs informed us John Schmidt will no longer be serving on the committee. He is looking for someone else to take over the lead of the Scholarship committee. Yesterday, several of the members went to Avanti where John is currently staying to give him a surprise birthday party. Our Enduro is next month, the last Saturday in October 31st. Wrap up at the Eagle River Inn. $20 if you fish; $15 if you don't fish Fishing will be 7am - 4 pm. Money from the Enduro helps offset the cost of our Christmas Party. Our next meeting is October 7th. Snipe Lake is also on his agenda. Bob will be contacting the Forestry Department for the project at Eagle Lake. Banquet Report: Joe Koschnik is looking for ideas for a Major Door Prize to attract more people in attendance to our banquet. Jay Hollnagel stated some people in the community think you need to be a member of Headwaters in order to attend. Discussion of promoting the banquet more as membership is not required and open to all. Spring Classic Report: None. Jeff Miller informed members of a Fall Tournament at Pewaukee where they are having a reduced entry fee for Muskie Inc. members. $175 entry fee, but if you are a M.I. member $125. Dale Peterson stated they will need for find a new judge boat leader for the Spring Classic. Muskies Inc. Magazine Report: No report New Junior member Alex Pellowski with a nice 47 Musky caught on the Eagle River Chain.

4 FISH REPORT August, fish registered as of Sept. 9th. Big fish so far in the Mens division was caught by Tim McMahon, 53. Big fish in the Womens division is Pattie Miller with a 48 fish and Juniors Big Fish is JJ Albee with a 49 fish. Lunker of the Month winners for May are: Mens-Kevin Pepin 49, Mens Masters Kip Cramer 44.75, Juniors-Zach Scheuers 39. June winners are Mens-Bill McMahon 50.5 ; Mens Masters-Charles Schauer 49 ; Womens Masters- Pattie Miller 47 and Juniors-James Albee July winners are Mens Masters-Kip Cramer ; Mens-Tom Neddo Jr. and Brian Karau 48 ; Womens Masters-Pattie Miller 48 ; Juniors-James Albee 49. Aug leaders are Mens- Tim McMahon 53, Mens Masters-Kip Cramer 49 ; Womens Masters-Margie Hollnagel and Juniors-Zach Scheuers Sept. leaders are: Mens-Ed Martens 46.5 ; Womens Masters-Pattie Miller 48 ; Mens Masters-Bill Jacobs 45 and Juniors-Zach Scheuers 41. Fish registration: Say you make a mistake like typing in 66 for fish length when it should have been 32. Contact Randy at rwloewecke@muskiesinc.org and tell him to change the mistake. Tell him your chapter #12, membership number, and fish registration # and he will change it. I can not make changes so I end up being just a middle man if you me your mistake. Alex Pellowski, Mosinee, WI Northwaters Chapter Challunge The 2nd annual Northwaters Chapter Challunge, Northwoods chapter vs. Headwaters Chapter is Sat. Sept. 26 in the Presque Isle area. Headquarters Location Presque Isle Yacht Club Fishing Times 8 am to 6 pm Lake Choices: Presque Isle, Crab, Harris, Birch, Oxbow, Papoose, Big & Little Horsehead Lakes $10.00 per person for Big Fish Pot (If entering a fish a fish photo with the angler & one on a measure board) Teams are not necessary but get as many people as possible. Try to fish in teams. Fish caught in the outing will receive a drawing ticket, three draws for prizes. Time will break ties. Pizza will be served at the Yacht Club at the conclusion. Winner will be determined by most total club points! Uncertain at this time but expect this???? Pre-registration is still being worked on, also a pre-outing meeting maybe possible, also uncertain an ID item to be placed in the photo of fish????
