September 2011 From the Office It was sure a busy month, with our trip away and perfect conditions for the September Comp weekend. We now roll into the last part of the year with only two more comp weekends and of course the annual Ladies/Family comp. The Charter Boat lads return to the high seas for the remaining 2 comps, so if you want a spot contact John ASAP. Don t forget the AGM is fast approaching so have a think about putting your hand up for a position. Ladies/Family Day: 29th & 30th October Fisho Funny This has to be THE feel-good story of the year! If this does not touch your heart, Then you just don't have one.. Greenwell Point Another great weekend, although the weather could have been better, but that is the South Coast! This year attendance was the best for a long time with almost 40 members and guests making the trip. Friday golf is becoming very popular and there was a good roll up at the first tee. Big winner was Patto s team. Saturday dawned clear but the small boats, in the main didn t venture out of the heads due to the conditions. The Charter Boat did manage to get out but the boys did say it was very cold and windy, but they did catch some nice fish. Results: Best Fish: John C Biggest Fish: Gary E Most Fish: Don P (he also cleaned up on the CB, most and first fish) The Shane & Geoff Mystery Fish (snapper) was won by Phil S Charter Boat Want to join the Charter Boat Fishfinder? 3 September Competition of 2011 Results. At last the weather gods were kind to us. Even with the great weather only seven members weighed in for a total of 35 fish. Maybe everyone was fished out after Greewell Point! Results for our September competition were as follows: Best Fish: Rob with a Drummer Biggest Fish: Justin with a Groper of 2.1kg Most Fish: Sparrow The mystery fish was a Whiting which was not won. The Wahoo was won by Braz who was present to collect and the Guzzlers Mug was won by Plumb who will have to wait till the next meeting to collect. The Vic Raffle was won by the Pres with ticket # 62.
