For over 7 decades, members have enjoyed the largest construction industry golf tournament in Southern California, and it keeps getting better! With that, the AGC Scholarship & Education Program continues to grow and requires more and more funding. The proceeds from this golf tournament allow us to support/fund the following AGC Programs: Scholarships for students attending the J.R. Filanc Construction Engineering & Management Program at San Diego State University The AGC Foundation for Success Summer Jobs Program for students from Construction Tech Academy Junior Achievement "BizTown" Program and AGe's "Construction Company" (Over 12,000 fifth graders attend the "BizTown" Program annually) San Diego State University's Student Chapter and its efforts in AGC of America competitions Don't Delay! 2 73 RD ANNUAL AGe AFFILIATE DAY GOLF TOURNAMENT - FORMAT MONDA Y - AUGUST 6, 2012 Since 1939, the AGC Affiliate Day Golf Tournament has been considered "THE" construction industry tournament in San Diego County. The format of this year's tournament will again have one shotgun start beginning at 11 :30 at both of the Oak Glen and Willow Glen championship courses! Having only one shotgun start gives all players the opportunity to stay after the tournament and enjoy the banquet/awards dilmer. 3 FORMAT: The format this year will again be a "4 PERSON SCRAMBLE", in which the entire foursome plays from the "Best Shot". This will allow members to socialize and enjoy the day! We wi ll have 2 divisions: Team Low Gross and Team Peoria Net. Each division wi ll have I st, 2nd, and 3 rd place winners. CONTESTS: Your employees and guests will also be ab le to win $$$$ and prizes worth over $2,000. Over 20 contests will be held including: Hole in One Longest Drive Closest to the Pin Straight Drive COURSE EXHIBITORS: Course exhibitors will be present on all of the two courses' 36 holes. Some wi ll be serving food and refreshments and also showing the latest in construction products, services and equipment...as well as presenting each player with a small gift.
