2 Scottish Boys Order of Merit Conditions Holder: Greg Dalziel, Airdrie Golf Club 1. Counting Events The events on the schedule that follows will count towards the 2019 Scottish Golf Boys Order of Merit. Events fall into four categories as follows: Category 1 Scottish Boys Open Championship The Boys Amateur Championship Scottish Men s Amateur Championship Scottish Men s Open Championship Category 2 The Peter McEvoy Trophy Fairhaven Trophies Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters Scottish Boys Amateur Championship English Boys U18 Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship (Carris Trophy) Category 3 The Barrie Douglas Scottish Junior Masters Paul Lawrie Foundation Junior Jug Stephen Gallacher Foundation Trophy Faldo Series St Andrews Boys Open Category 4 Junior Tour events (Excluding Junior Tour Final) Scottish Schools Championship Boys Area Champions Individual winners will receive 50 points 2. Qualification To be eligible for inclusion a player must: (a) Be male and of amateur status as defined by R&A Rules Limited. (b) Be under the age of 18 years at hours on 1 January (c) Have either been born in Scotland, have one parent or grandparent born in Scotland or prove principal permanent residency in Scotland for a period of not less than 3 years. (d) Not have played for any other country s International Team at Boys level or higher. 3. Final Placings (a) Eligible players will receive points relative to their final position/category in a nominated event. (b) The best eight event points collected by a player will form an aggregate and this total will determine their final placings. (c) In the event of a tie for first place, the title will be shared. (d) For events where there is a cut, players must make the cut to complete the tournament and receive points.
