14 14 Golf Format: Shamble Definition: A shamble is a type of golf tournament that combines elements of a scramble with elements of stroke play. Like in a scramble, all members of a team (usually four) tee off and the best ball is selected. All players move their balls to the spot of the best ball. From this point, the hole is played out at stroke play, with all members of the team playing their own ball. Select the best shot off the tee, move all balls to that spot, then play individual stroke play until each member of the group has holed out. Scoring Scoring will be based on the two (2) best scores on each hole. Please place down at least 2 scores from your team on every hole. Should a player have no chance at one of the two lowest scores, please pick up your ball to keep play moving. Mulligans** Mulligans are sold as a fundraising element for our golf outing, however we expect them to be used in accordance with tournament rules. Mulligans can be used anywhere the holder wishes, from Tee Box to Putting Green. They cannot be given to another golfer. Please use them honestly, remember that golf brings out the true CHARACTER in an individual. Mulligans are sold at registration, they are 1 for $10 or 3 for $20. **Mulligans may not be used for the hole in one car contest.

16 16 Putting Green String Use & Rules Enclosed in the bag is a 20 foot long string and a pair of scissors. This string can only be used on the putting green. The rules are as follows: 1.Once the ball is on the green, only the player who purchased the string has the option of marking the ball, moving the ball closer to the hole and replacing the ball to a spot where one believes will be helpful in making one s putt. That distance that the ball is moved is measured by the string, cut & discarded not to be used again. 2.You may repeat this, however each time cutting & discarding the amount of string equal to the distance each putt was moved. 3.Once all of the string is used up, you may not move any more putts thereafter. 4.Putts may be moved closer to the hole, however never in the hole. 5.The length of the string should be used sparingly. 6.You may not try to stretch the string, you have bought 20 feet, and that is the total footage that you may use on the combined holes. 7.Each player has the option of purchasing a bag of string.
