4 SERVICES AGISTMENT Seasonal or year round for all ages. Safe fencing for both colts and fillies, we specialise in the growing out of young horses. Well managed paddocks provide year round accommodation where your brood mare can thrive. Short-term agistment also welcome. SPELLING Close to both Cranbourne & Mornington training facilities, plus just an hour from the city training centres, our caring environment rejuvenates the racing horse. Plus you or your trainer can visit at any time to check on progress. TRANSPORT Being on the Mornington Peninsula we can provide transport to the main training facilities at Mornington and Cranbourne, plus to the many Pre-training facilities available in the area. We also do Walk-Ons to most farms thru out Victoria. BREEDING Call us to discuss your breeding requirements. We can help tailor your requirements to any one of our Stallions or another stallion of your choice. Walk-on s from the farm can be arranged to outside Stallions. FOALING We provide foaling services to any mare regardless of your breeding requirements care is provided by experienced staff with Veterinarian services but a phone call away. WEANING All services are provided with branding, vaccination s, DNA testing, micro chipping, plus 2-3 weeks of intensive handling of foals then separation and drying off mares. YEARLING PREP This is 8 weeks of individual preparation followed by a first class presentation at all Melbourne sales, with experienced handlers to help sell your yearling. Pre sales promotion and Sirecam listings, x-rays and scoping on request. MIXED SALES We attend most Melbourne Sales and can present your horse looking its best on the day. BREAKING IN One of the most important steps in the formation of a race horse. We provide 4-6 weeks of quiet work resulting in a soft, well balanced forward moving horse ready for pre training when the time is right. 5 INTRODUCING OUR STALLIONS The 2017 breeding season is fast approaching and for those who breed thoroughbreds, their thoughts turn to breeding that perfect racehorse. To help where we can, we welcome you to the 2017 Bombora Downs Stallion Brochure and our exciting line up of stallions. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the first foals of Dandino (GB). This Group-1 winning son of Dansili, took to his new role with the ease of the professional he is - easy to work with, with a great attitude. His siblings and their off-spring have had a great year, with wins coming from 1200m to 3200m. And don t be put off by the word stayer, as most have all started as 2yo s either winning or placing. This is a versatile family that can produce a Spring Classic winner, and train on to win those exciting Cup races. The first crop of Warhorse (NZ) have developed into some very nice yearlings; scopey youngsters with a bit of size about them. There will be a few off to the Yearling Sales in 2018, and we are hoping that they will be well received. Quite a few of our clients booked their mares back to Warhorse (NZ) off the back of the foals that were produced. He was a champion 2yo, a classics performer, and trains on for those all-important weight-for-age races. Free of Danehill but crosses well with Danehill line mares. Jungle Ruler was a legend of the turf, who from humble beginnings, placed in black type, placed as a 2 year old, won races in every calendar year of his racing life and raced until he was 9 years old. His progeny are getting rave reviews from breakers and trainers, and we are confidently waiting for the new racing season to let them show us what they ve got. From limited opportunities, Therock is showing that he can get city class winners, plus they are ever so consistent, racing regularly and putting in honest performances every time. He has a couple in the wings that are showing promise, so there is some good anticipation for the future. Lago Delight progeny have had another very consistent year with winners coming at distances from 950m up to 2000m, on turf, synthetic and dirt plus the age range is from 3yo to 9yo. Versatile, tough, durable and reliable; that s his progeny to a tee. Plus they are across a variety of broodmare sires.
