Want to go beyond a Track Day and get involved with some entry-level racing with little money, NO experience and a LOT of fun? Check out the Chump Car World Series or 24 Hours of LeMons. Go watch one for the laughs, or prepare your own $500 car, or get in touch with an existing team to buy a seat in their driver rotation during these multi-hour (12-25 hours) enduro events. Chump Car will be at VIR, Nelson Ledges and Beaver Run in hours of LeMons has only one 2012 event nearby: June at Summit Point.
