2 Dear EWF Colleagues, The city of Tel Aviv - Yafo is delighted to host the 2014 EWF European Weightli ing Championships. The Tel Aviv - Yafo Municipality has successfully hosted a wide range of interna onal sport events, such as the UEFA Europe U21 Championships, the World Sailing Championships, The U20 European Beach Volleyball Championships, the European Athle cs Cup, the European Basketball Final Four, the U18 European Basketball Championships and more. Tel Aviv - Yafo is Israel s largest city and biggest commercial center. It presents a lively combina on of entertainment venues, beaches, restaurants and shopping centers. It is also the country s greatest cultural center home to museums, galleries, theatres and concert halls. We welcome the 2014 EWF European Weightli ing Championships, and will do our utmost to assure a successful and memorable experience. The accommoda on fees and entry fee are: Entry Fee per person Single in a room 150 per person per day Two in a room 120 per person per day Three in a room 105 per person per day COMPETITION,TRAINING VENUES and EQUIPMENT The compe ons will be held at Hangar 11, which is located at the Tel Aviv Port. The training venue is located next to Hangar 11. The compe on and training venues are located near the hotels. During the Championships Eleiko Barbells will be used. ACCREDITATION The accredita on procedures will take place at the Grand Beach Hotel. All par cipants will receive a special pass in order to gain access to the compe on hall and the sports facili es and training sites. PARTICIPANTS Only compe tors from Na onal Weightli ing Federa ons/associa ons that are affiliated with the European Weightli ing Federa on are en tled to par cipate. COMPETITION RULES The Championships will be held according to current IWF and EWF Technical Rules. DOPING CONTROL Doping Control will be conducted in accordance with IWF Regula ons. INSURANCE All Federa ons must undertake full moral and financial responsibility for their respec ve delega ons regarding health, and in case of accident or damage. TRANSPORTATION The Organizing Commi ee will provide transporta on between the Ben Gurion Airport and the hotels for 20 per person, which will be paid to the Organizing Commi ee. PRIZES Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals will be awarded for the first, second and third places, respec vely, in the two li s and in the total for each of the Men s and Women s Classes. The six best teams (Men s and Women s) will receive trophies. Each par cipant will receive a European Championships Diploma. VISAS All par cipants should contact the Israel Embassy in their respec ve country to determine if a visa is required. If any problem arises, please contact the Israel Weightli ing Federa on.
