2 RULEBOOK ORDER Please submit your rulebook and publication orders by June 15, By filling out the order form at Rulebooks are ordered over the summer and then mailed to the schools in early September. The SHSAA does not order extra rulebooks to have on hand. If you have any questions please UPCOMING EVENT Provincial Track and Field will be held at Harry Jerome Track in Prince Albert on June 1st and 2nd. Check the Track Activity page for all the details: REMINDER If you have a change in principal, athletic director, school address, etc. please edit this information when you log onto your school through EXNET on the SHSAA website prior to May 22nd. Please take the time to do this task so that the Directory printed in the handbook is accurate regarding your school. The edition of the SHSAA handbook will be distributed to schools at your fall district meeting.
3 YOUTH OFFICIALS CONFERENCE June 8-9, 2018 The SHSAA is proud to offer Youth Officials Conference 2018! The conference will provide an opportunity to high school students to explore their interests in officiating and to develop officiating skills. It is a multi-sport conference that will offer philosophy and technical sessions relating to the SHSAA sanctioned sports (this year s focus is on officiating Football, Volleyball, and Basketball). The conference will be held on Friday, June 8 and Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Miller Comprehensive High School in Regina. SPORTSMANSHIP BANNERS There was 1 additional Sportsmanship Banner presented this year based on nominations submitted to the Executive Council. Congratulations to Twin Lakes Community School (Buffalo Narrows) Boys Basketball. NOTICE SHSAA AGM June 20-22, 2018 in Moosomin at the Moosomin Communiplex.
4 COACHES SYMPOSIUM August 21-22, 2018 The SHSAA Coaches Symposium will be held Tuesday, August 21 & Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Aden Bowman in Saskatoon. The Symposium is an excellent opportunity for coaches of different activities to gather in one location to participate in a professional development opportunity that will enhance the extra-curricular experience of the student athletes around the province. Registration is available at: THANK YOU As another year of school sport in Saskatchewan comes to a close, we would like to acknowledge and thank all of the individuals that have contributed to delivering school sport opportunities at your schools. The efforts of many, many volunteers have allowed students to extend their learning beyond the classroom into the arena of competition.
