I looked at evening classes and thought why not? Monique Jeffrey-Jones Monique started by taking part-time evening classes in Silversmithing. She progressed to the FdA in Silversmithing and Jewellery and then the BA (Hons), which she graduated with first class honours. She now runs her own business, Monique Jeffrey- Jones Jewellery Design.

Free Tuition The tuition fee for some courses is waived if you fall into any of the categories below: Unemployed JSA/ESA (Work Activity Group) Unemployed on other state benefit Adult Basic Skills (English/Maths) without full Level 2/3 16 and under 19 years old at 31 August 2018 You will be asked to provide evidence at the start of the programme to support your claim for waived tuition. First Full Level 2/3 Students aged studying for their first full Level 2/3 qualification may be entitled to free tuition while studying on programmes at full Level 2 and 3. If you think that this applies to your situation, please contact the Parttime Courses office for further advice and guidance. If both you and the qualification are eligible, you will be asked to sign a self declaration form stating that you do not hold a full Level 2/3 qualification. 19+ Advanced Learner Loan Are you aged 19 or over and thinking about Further Education? You may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan which you only pay back when you re earning over 25,000. The loan is not means tested and there are no fees to pay up front. The Government has introduced this scheme to enable those aged 19 or over to apply for a loan to cover course fees. If you re planning to study at Level 3 and above, you may qualify. For those aged 16 to 18 we may be able to support you in other ways.
