2 From The Track Director Dear Community Leader Spring is not far off and we at Johnstown BMX are preparing for another exciting and fun season of Bicycle Motocross Racing. Our main goals for the year are to upgrade our facilities to provide a fun filled recreational activity for boys, girls and adults alike. Our Organization is a non-profit organization and therefore, we rely on the generosity and support of community leaders and businesses to help support our efforts. In addition, 100% of your donations go directly to our organization and are tax deductible. We offer many sponsorship packages at different levels. Please take time to look through the sponsorship packet. If you don t see something that works for your company, let us know and we ll taylor something for you. BMX Racing provides the entire family a unique opportunity for fun and exercise. We have included a schedule in the enclosed packet and invite you to attend any of our races. 3 What Is BMX Racing? Since its beginning, a little over 30 years ago, Bicycle Motocross Racing (BMX) has grown into a national and international sport, involving thousands of dedicated, committed youngsters and their parents. The key ingredients in this rapid growth formula are simple: BMX is fun to compete in, exciting to watch, and involves the entire family. Each BMX race consists of eight riders of matching age and skill, all competing on specially equipped bicycles over a short but challenging course of jumps and turns. Racers start from a gate on a small hill. After the start of the race, they skillfully maneuver, according to their skills, toward the finish line as fast as they can go. The winner, of course, is the first to cross the finish line. Competition events take place at local tracks, with the State Championships occurring in each state, while the National Championships culminate in the Grand National Race. In addition, BMX has reached a milestone the Olympic Games! Over the past 30 years, BMX racing has proved its staying power and made its proud debut as a full medal sport at the Olympic Games in Beijing, China in July of A big day for everyone who has been involved with this exciting sport. There are two sanctioning organizations in the United States. They are the National Bicycle League (NBL) and the American Bicycle Association (ABA). A large number of serious racers compete in both organizations events. Beginner, novice and expert riders compete on an amateur basis for trophies and the status of achieving a high-point standing. Professional racers, many of whom are sponsored by bicycle and race clothing manufacturers, compete for points standings, event purse money, plus sponsor s purses, which at National events, sometimes run to several thousands of dollars. The form of sponsorship offering the most cost effective promotional viability is the sponsorship of a team of nationally competitive riders. Riders at this level of personal commitment generally race two or three times a week, competing in Local, State and National series events throughout the United States and abroad.

4 2010 Racer Sponsorships Supporting local youth organizations is one of the best was to build loyalty for your company. Parents recognize the importance of these organizations to the youth of our community and appreciate your participation in the event. Patronizing the local businesses that support these organizations is their way of showing thanks. We have two basic Rider Sponsorship Packages available to you as described below: Basic Racer Sponsorship = $225 Your Racer will race for free at all local Johnstown BMX races. Your Companies Name will be silk screened onto the top of the back of your racer s official Johnstown BMX Race Jersey. Your Companies Name will be listed on the official JohnstownBMX.org website. Your Companies Name will appear on a Group Sign at the track showing you as the proud sponsor of your racer, along with all the other sponsored racers. Your Companies Name will be announced as being the sponsor of your racer. Premium Racer Sponsorship = $300 In ADDITION to all of the amenities listed above, for an additional investment of $75, Your Company will be given a 3 x 3 Corplast Track Sign that surrounds the track surface to advertise your logo and any other information about your company that you d like to have out in front of the public. This sign will be in place from the Spring and on thru the Fall at Highlands Park in Richland, and is normally $125 by itself. Racer Sponsorships & Track Signage will gladly be accepted throughout the year, however, they will not be discounted for Races already completed. In addition, Racer Sponsorships received after May 15 will not be included on the Group Sign. Additional Advertising Available At Johnstown BMX Track Signage Signs are available, that surround the track, to advertise your companies logo, and any other information about your company, that you d like to display to the public. Signs will be in place from the Spring thru the Fall at Highland Park in Richland. o 3 x 3 Corplast Sign (4 Color Max) = $125 $13.89/SqFt o 3 x 6 Corplast Sign (4 Color Max) = $225 $12.50/SqFt = 10% Savings Tower Banner The Announcers Tower, the tallest structure at the track, will have space available for 4 x 8 Corplast Signs that will be visible to all the spectators, allowing your company to advertise your logo, and any other information about your company, that you d like to display to the public. Signs will be in place from the Spring thru the Fall at Highland Park in Richland. o 4 x 8 Corplast Sign (4 Color Max) = $350 $10.94/SqFt = 21% Savings Johnstown BMX is a non-profit organization All contributions made are 100% tax deductible
