3 SOWETO GOSPEL CHOIR Feb 27, Feb 28, 2007 Hummingbird Centre For The Performing Arts, 1 Front Street After the last Soweto Gospel Choir was standing room only, the African based choir returns to Toronto. Performing in eight different languages, and covering tribal, traditional and popular gospel, their earthy tones entertain and sooth audiences. Vocally celebrating the future of South Africa, Soweto combines rich harmonies, a capella and soulful expression to achieve success. Also featured at the performance is a collective of traditional dancers, drummers and a four-piece band. The Toronto Children s Concert Choir and Performing Arts Company will also be performing in the front lobby of the Hummingbird Centre prior to the show.
