1 Supplemental Rules and Info Updated 9/29/ AMA EnduroCross Championship Series / 2016 AMA EnduroCross Grand Championships (EXGC) Rules and Information The 2016 AMA EnduroCross Championship Series schedule includes eight (8) events and is for the PRO Class only. The Final round in Ontario, CA may have a slightly different format, with multiple main events (tba). PRO Class racers will acquire national championship points for each event they participate in, with the AMA EnduroCross Championship being awarded to the PRO competitor who acquires the most points throughout the season. The 2016 AMA EnduroCross Grand Championships schedule includes eight (8) events which incorporates the Support Classes. For Support Class racers, although they can participate in as many events as they please, they technically ONLY need to participate in one EXGC Regional to get an automatic entry to EXGC Finale (final round). The winners of each of the Three (3) Support Class Main Events at each round will be crowned the Regional Champion. The winners of each of the Three (3) Support Class Main Events at the EXGC Finale will be crowned AMA EnduroCross Grand Champions. How It Works There are two portions of an EnduroCross event. There are the Daytime Qualifiers for the Support Class and non-seeded PRO Class riders; then there is the Evening Program which includes the Support Class Main Events, PRO Heats/LCQ Races, night race where possible and the PRO Main Event. (At the Ontario Finale, untimed practice will take place on Friday. Timed practice will begin on Saturday morning followed by the daytime qualifiers and the Evening Program. Each Regional Champion receives an automatic spot in the Support Class Main Event and the daytime qualifiers will fill the remaining spots which will be a minimum of 6.) For ALL classes, eligibility to compete in the Main events is not predicated on participation in the various qualifying races. A rider who does not participate in a timed practice will earn last place in that session. A rider who does not participate in the afternoon Hot Laps session will earn last gate pick in his Heat. A rider who does not participate in a Heat, is still eligible for last gate pick in his LCQ. A Pro rider who does not participate in the Evening Show Hot Laps, will earn sixth gate pick in the Main Event AMA EnduroCross Grand Championships (EXGC) EXGC Regionals: Saturday, August 27; Gwinnett, GA - Infinite Energy Arena (formerly The Gwinnett Center) Saturday, September 3; Sioux Falls, SD - Badlands Motor Speedway Saturday, September 10; Salt Lake City, UT Vivint Smart Home Arena (formerly Energy Solutions Arena) Saturday, September 24; Scottsdale, AZ - WestWorld (Arizona Off-Road & UTV Expo) Saturday, October 1; Denver, CO - National Western Complex Saturday, October 22; Everett, WA Comcast Arena Saturday, November 5; Boise, ID Idaho Center EXGC Finale: Friday & Saturday, November 18-19; Ontario, CA Citizens Business Bank Arena (Friday practice) EXGC / Support Classes There are three (3) Support Classes to choose from which are all part of the 2016 AMA EnduroCross Grand Championships (EXGC). You may enter more than one class as long as you meet the criteria. You MUST be an AMA member to enter. TrialCross (EXTC): Any size Trials motorcycle or any motorcycle with a wheelbase under 55 inches. Bikes like the Honda CRF150 will be allowed. Trials tires are allowed on any motorcycle in this class but not mandatory. Must be 12 years of age as of race date. Maximum of 24 race entries. If less than 6 entries, Main Event will take place in the afternoon and top 3 riders will have opportunity to race in Amateur Main Event for the night show, gated 2 nd row in order of finish from TrialCross Main Event.

2 Amateur Open (EXA): Any size 2-stroke or 4-stroke motorcycle with a wheel base over 55 inches. Trials motorcycles are not allowed. Trials Tires are NOT allowed. Must be 12 years of age as of race date. Maximum of 60 race entries. Vet- Plus 35 (EXVet): Any production motorcycle with a wheel base over 55 inches. Trials motorcycles are not allowed. Trials Tires are NOT allowed. Must be 35 years of age as of race date. Maximum of 48 race entries. EXGC Info: AMA EnduroCross Grand Championships (EXGC) Overall support/amateur level Grand Championships for multiple classes which includes the EXGC Regionals and EXGC Finale (see above schedule) Not to be confused with the AMA EnduroCross Championship Series, a cumulative national championship point s series for expert/pro riders, this will be run in conjunction with the EXGC Includes three (3) Grand Championship classes (EXGC Classes above) which will crown individual National Grand Champions and award AMA #1 Plates Upon entry, riders will be randomly assigned to a group. Every rider receives two practice sessions (One regular and one timed). Each class above will have a series of Qualifiers to determine the top twelve riders in each class. These top twelve riders from each class will transfer to their final in the Evening Program (see schedule). EXGC Regionals Events referred to as AMA EnduroCross Grand Championships Regional Winners referred to as AMA EnduroCross Regional Winners, or having won an AMA EnduroCross Regional Riders finishing 1st at the EXGC Regional in each of the three designated EXGC Classes will qualify for an automatic Main Event entry at the Ontario EXGC Finale. Riders are permitted to participate in multiple EXGC Regionals, but will only receive one automatic entry to the EXGC Finale. Riders are permitted to ride multiple classes, including EXGC Classes and the PRO Championship class; Riders that enter the top 25 standings in the PRO Championship class at any point during the season, riders that finished in the top 25 standings in the PRO Championship class from the previous season or riders that make a Main Event in the PRO class during the season, will no longer be permitted to compete in support classes and will NOT be permitted to compete at the Ontario EXGC Finale; thus forfeiting their chance for an AMA EnduroCross National Grand Championship. (Does not apply to TrialsCross Class, any level rider may compete) EXGC Finale Event referred to as the AMA EnduroCross Grand Championships Finale An EXGC Main Event will be held for each of the three (3) EXGC Classes and each winner will be crowned the AMA EnduroCross National Grand Champion, or referred to as having won an AMA EnduroCross National Grand Championship, and awarded an AMA Number #1 Plate. 3 EnduroCross Points System The AMA EnduroCross Championship Series will be based on the AMA Sports championship points system. The rider with the most championship point s after all eight (8) rounds will be crowned the AMA EnduroCross National Champion. Championship Points will be awarded for each round as follows: 1st 25 points BOTH LCQs 2nd 22 points 14th 7 points 3rd 3rd 20 points 15th 6 points 4th 4th 18 points 16th 5 points 5th 5th 16 points 17th 4 points 6th 6th 15 points 18th 3 points 7th 7th 14 points 19th 2 points 8th 8th 13 points 20th 1 point 9th 9th 12 points 10th 11 points 11 th 10 points 12 th 9 points 13th 8 Points Evening PRO Class Heat Winners (3 separate heat races): Evening PRO Hot Lap fast time: 1 point 1 point In the case of a tie, the best result in the Ontario final round / final race will be the tie breaker. PRO Class (Championship Class) Riders are eligible to race multiple classes, including any of the Support Classes from above and the PRO Class. Please note: Riders that enter the top 25 standings in the PRO Championship class at any point during the season, riders that finished in the top 25 standings in the PRO Championship class from the previous season or riders that make a Main Event in the PRO class during the season, will no longer be permitted to compete in support classes and will NOT be permitted to compete at the Ontario EXGC Finale; thus forfeiting their chance for an AMA EnduroCross National Grand Championship. (Does not apply to TrialCross Class, any level rider may compete) Class Requirements: Any production motorcycle with a wheel base over 55 inches. Trials motorcycles are not allowed. Trials Tires are NOT allowed. Twowheeled drive machines are permitted. Riders must be 16 years of age as of race date. Maximum of 48 race entries. Upon entry, riders will be randomly assigned to a group. Every rider receives two practice sessions and a minimum of two Qualifier sessions to determine which riders will transfer to the Evening Program. A minimum of ten riders (possibly more depending on turn out at each venue) will be selected to participate in the Evening Program. At the end of the Qualifier sessions you will need to check with Race Referee and result board to determine if you have transferred. The Top 5 riders in Championship Points may be asked to wear a camera for TV and must comply with that request.

4 The Evening Program: Support Class Main Events / PRO Championship The Evening Program will consist of the Support Class Main Events (see above) and the PRO Championship races (Heat Races, Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQs), Hot Laps and the Main Event.) Seeded Riders: These riders automatically transfer to the Evening Program for 2015 season: Former EnduroCross Champions: Ryan Hughes, John Dowd, David Knight, Ricky Dietrich, Taddy Blazusiak & Cody Webb. PRO Jr classification; crowning a AMA/EnduroCross Pro Junior champion a. Riders years are eligible. Riders must still be 21 years old on the day of the final race of the championship b. Not a separate race class, but a separate classification/category c. Eligible riders must compete in the premier PRO class d. Championship points (based off Event Results) of eligible riders will be tallied throughout the season in order to determine the Pro Jr champion e. Open displacement of a full-size enduro-style bike 2. PRO Vet - classification; crowning a AMA/EnduroCross Pro Vet champion a. Riders 35 years and older are eligible. Riders must be at least 35 years old on the day of race. b. Not a separate race class, but a separate classification/category c. Eligible riders must compete in the premier PRO class d. Championship points (based off Event Results) of eligible riders will be tallied throughout the season in order to determine the Pro Vet champion e. Open displacement of a full-size enduro-style bike 3. Manufacturer Championship a. Points awarded based on PRO Main Event bike finish b. Same point system as riders 4. EXGC Format: a. The EXGC will not be open for riders mandated to ride the PRO class. Does not apply to TrialCross Class, any level rider may compete. 5. Sound Testing: a. Sound Limits- AMA EnduroCross will enforce 94 db sound limits via standard off-road test. All bikes must pass test prior to 1 st heat. 6. Equipment: a. All motorcycle power and propulsion systems are allowed. Final determination of acceptance of a power train will be the responsibility of the AMA Referee. b. Substituting motorcycles anytime, during the event is allowed. Substituting motorcycles during an individual race is forbidden. c. Off-road strap for seat and/or lower triple clamp is recommended in all classes. 7. Race Numbers: a. Number plate codes: Black backgrounds with white numbers for 250cc and below White backgrounds with black numbers for 300cc and above Red background with white number 1 for 2015 Champion at opening round in Atlanta only. Red background with white number for current point s leader beginning with round 2. b. Front number plate numbers must be a minimum of 5.5 H. The current EnduroCross logo must be displayed across the top of the number plate. c. Side plate numbers are optional, but if utilized must match the bike s front number and background. d. Race numbers must be clearly visible on the riders back and must match those on the bike.

6 e. Career numbers will take precedence over series numbers. Classification, Championships and Eligibility Classes/Championships: PRO - AMA EnduroCross Championship Series premier level national championship points series crowning the overall AMA EnduroCross champion. PRO Jr AMA EnduroCross Pro Junior Championship classification comprised of junior riders (16-21 yrs) which participate in the PRO class; crowning the AMA EnduroCross Pro Junior Champion determined from final results of the PRO races/championship. Riders must still be 21 years old on the day of the final race of the championship PRO Vet AMA EnduroCross Pro Vet Championship classification comprised of vet riders (35+ yrs) which participate in the PRO class; crowning the AMA EnduroCross Pro Vet Champion determined from final results of the PRO races/championship. Riders must be 35+ years old on the day of the final race of the championship EXGC AMA EnduroCross Grand Championships amateur grand championships comprised of the following classes; EXGC Amateur Open AMA EnduroCross Amateur Open Grand Championship: amateur level grand championship, crowning the AMA EnduroCross Amateur Open Grand Champion. EXGC Vet AMA EnduroCross Vet Grand Championship: comprised of veteran riders over 35 yrs., crowning an AMA EnduroCross Vet Grand Champion. EXGC TrialCross AMA EnduroCross TrialCross Grand Championship: trials bike based grand championship, crowning an AMA EnduroCross TrialCross Grand Champion. AMA EnduroCross Womens Championship - Points awarded at each round similar to PRO Class to determine Overall Champion. Top 5 in current points seeded into main, except for opening round where the top 5 from 2015 points will be seeded in the main event. Open Qualifying for remaining 7 spots. Available at all eight events. General: Riders participating in AMA EnduroCross must be a minimum of "B" level riders; and those competing in the PRO class will be considered premier level, referred to as "Pro" or "AA". For all classes (except TrialCross) bike eligibility is Open to any full-size enduro-style motorcycle with a wheelbase over 55 inches. Trials Tires and continuous rib (paddle tires) are NOT allowed. Trials tires are allowed on any motorcycle in the Trialcross class but are not mandatory. All riders must be 12 years old by the day of the event, except PRO must be 16 and Veteran 35. The promoter reserves the right to promoter s discretion in regards to rider eligibility. The EXGC is not open to riders mandated to ride in the PRO class. Does not apply to TrialCross Class, any level rider may compete. During competition, should a rider deviate around an obstacle or set of obstacles, or cut inside a lane marker, a time or position penalty may be assessed by the Referee. During competition, should a rider deviate around an obstacle or set of obstacles more than three times in one lap, the lap may not be counted. Eligibility: PRO AA/Pro/National Expert riders. The following riders are mandated to race PRO (only): o PRO Top 25 in points at any time during current season. o PRO Main Event during current season. o Top 25 in PRO points from previous year; o Top 10 in PRO points from previous 5 years; o Top 5 in points from any national/international off-road series premier class, including GNCC, WORCS, Hare & Hound, National Enduro, National Hare Scrambles, SCORE, WEC, WIEC, etc.;

7 o Select FIM/AMA Pro Racing current and former top crossover participants (at the promoter s discretion), i.e. motocross, supercross, trials, dirt track, etc. PRO Jr Distinct classification/championship for riders which participate in PRO o PRO class riders between the ages yrs. o Riders must still be 21 years old on the day of the final race of the championship. PRO Vet Distinct classification/championship for riders which participate in PRO o PRO class riders ages 35+ yrs. o Riders must be 35+ years old on the day of the final race of the championship. EXGC Amateur Open amateur (A/B) riders o Not open to riders mandated to participate in the PRO class. EXGC Vet amateur Veteran +35 riders o Riders must be 35 years old on the day of the race; o Not open to riders mandated to participate in the PRO class. EXGC TrialCross o Riders must be 12 years old by the day of the event; o Open to trials bikes and/or any bike under 55 wheelbase. o Trials tires are allowed on any motorcycle in this class but not mandatory. o Open to any level rider. o If less than 6 entries, Main Event will take place in the afternoon and top 3 riders will have opportunity to race in Amateur Main Event for the night show, gated 2 nd row in order of finish from TrialCross Main Event. Women s Championship o Riders must be 12 years old by the day of the event; Starts - All gates must be filled, 2nd row starters (if any) must line up behind furthest outside gates (i.e.; if there are 10 gates and 12 riders in a race, riders 11 & 12 will line up behind the riders gated in positions 9 & 10). Additionally, 2nd row starters must line up directly behind the bike in the 1st row and their front tire must stay behind the rear tire of the 1st row bike until the gate is dropped. Failure to follow this direction may result in lap and or position penalties. Restarts In case of a race stoppage: (1) Less than 3 laps completed by the leader, bikes are sent back to the starting gate in original line-up order for complete redo. (2) The race is stopped with 3 laps completed by the leader and less than 90% of the total distance completed by the race leader, rounded down to the nearest whole number of laps, bikes are placed in staggered start according to current running order. The lap in which the red flag was thrown will not be considered a complete lap. Upon restart no passing until going through check point. Remaining laps are to be completed. (3) If 90% of laps are completed by race leader before race is stopped, race is considered complete and finish order is based on scoring (15 lap race x.90% = 13 laps, 6 lap race x 90% = 5, 5 lap race x.90% = 4, 4 lap race x.90% = 3).
