Game time is set for 5:00 p.m. in Memorial Coliseum. THE LADY TIGERS AT A GLANCE Tennessee State is off to a 5-6 start after dropping two straight games at the Lady Griz Classic last weekend. The Lady Tigers fell to Utah State (63-46) before dropping a hard fought contest to Florida Atlantic, TSU has lost three of its last four contests. Juniors I mani Davis (13.5 ppg) and Jayda Johnson (12.5 ppg) lead TSU in scoring while senior Brianna Lawrence (10.8 ppg) rounds out the top three scorers. These three upperclassmen also lead the Lady Tigers in rebounding. As a team, TSU is averaging 62.6 points per game and shooting 34.6 percent from the field, including 28.9 percent from beyond the arc and 67.6 percent from the freethrow line. He was also an inductee of the 2014 Middle Tennessee Hall of Fame Class. Inman, who was inducted into the Ohio Valley Conference Hall of Fame in 2009, served as head coach of the Eastern Kentucky women s basketball team from , compiling a record and leading the Lady Colonels to two OVC Tournament championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances ( , ). In being named OVC Coach of the Year eight times, he also directed EKU to five OVC regular season championships. He also led the Lady Colonels to the 2002 WNIT Sweet Sixteen. He is the all-time winningest coach in Ohio Valley Conference women s basketball history with his record of Inman announced his retirement from Eastern Kentucky in April Prior to his retirement, Inman was the 27th winningest active coach in NCAA Division I. Inman is a graduate of Austin Peay State University, where he received his bachelor s degree in He received his master s degree from Tennessee State University in Inman is married to the former Bobbie Gene Follis of Shelbyville, Tenn. They have one son, Jody, and two daughters, Latrice and Tiffany. They also have seven grandchildren, Ashlyn, Hailey, Jackson, Austin, Brooklyn, Crimson and Eli. Jayda Johnson recorded her third double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Samantha Palma added 12 points. I mani Davis (11) and Brianna Lawrence (10) also finished with doubledigits. Davis was named to the All-Tournament team after averaging 13.5 ppg and 7.5 rebounds during the tournament. ABOUT KENTUCKY Kentucky is off to a 10-0 start and is the No. 7 ranked team in the nation. The Wildcats are coming off a, 71-61, victory over Duke on Sunday. Evelyn Akhator led UK with 18 points while Janee Thompson (17) and Makayla Epps (17) also notched double-figures. Epps leads the team in scoring with 17.2 ppg while Thompson turns in 14.1 points per outing. Akhator averages 11.8 ppg and Alexis Jennings (10.2 ppg) rounds out the top scorers for the Wildcats. As a team, Kentucky is averaging 81.4 points per game while shooting 49.1 percent from the field and 41.5 percent from three-point range.

3 SERIES INFORMATION TSU will match up with Kentucky for the sixth time in the series history with UK holding a 5-0 series advantage. The two teams last met in the first round of the NCAA on March 20, TSU fell to UK, 97-52, in Memorial Coliseum. The program s first winning record since TSU secured a winning OVC record for the third straight year Larry Inman has won OVC championships at three different schools: Middle Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky, Tennessee State When TSU won an OVC Championship in , Darlene Crawley-Morrow was a starter on that team. In 2015, her daughter Briana Morrow won a championship with the Lady Tigers 20 years later. Former TSU men s basketball standout Josh Cooperwood served as the director of operations for women s basketball before moving into the role of assistant coach in October QUICK HANDS Brianna Lawrence is averaging 3.5 steals per game. She had four steals in the first two contests before recording eight against Southern Illinois and North Alabama. She is ranked 2nd in the OVC in steals. 5 BEARD GETS THE START Walk-on Maxine Beard started at point guard in TSU s game versus Florida Atlantic and had a solid night. The junior played 25 minutes and had five points, four assists, two rebounds and one block. FAMILIAR COMPANY TSU fourth year head coach Larry Inman is no stranger to the Ohio Valley Conference. He has held coaching stints at one-time OVC member Middle Tennessee as well as Eastern Kentucky. He was named the OVC Coach of the Year eight times. Inman was inducted into the OVC Hall of Fame in 2009 and the Middle Tennessee Hall of Fame in SEVEN AT THREE TSU s tournament championship in 2015 increased coach Inman s total to seven. He has now won titles at three different schools: Former OVC member Middle Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky & Tennessee State. He has 10 OVC regular season championships. TERESA PHILLIPS TSU hosted the second annual Teresa Phillips Thanksgiving Classic, Nov The tournament is named after current TSU Director of Athletics and former Lady Tiger head coach Teresa Phillips & featured Lipscomb, North Alabama and Texas Southern. Phillips led TSU to two Ohio Valley Conference Championships. She was also the first female to coach a Div I NCAA men s basketball team in TSU IN THE TLP CLASSIC After going undefeated in this year s contests, TSU is now 2-2 in Teresa Phillips Thanksgiving Classic games. In last year s inaugural TLP Classic, TSU went without a win, dropping contests to Youngstown State and Norfolk State. WNBA EXPERIENCE Second year women s basketball assistant coach, Le Coe Willingham, brings a wealth of professional experience to the Lady Tiger staff. Willingham played ten years in the WBNA and won two championships, with the Phoenix Mercury and Seattle Storm. POST PRESENCE Freshman Tiana Parker had three blocks in her collegiate debut at Indiana.
