2 TENNESSEE STATE SERIES INFO Monday s contest marks the second meeting between Texas and. In the only previous matchup (Nov. 30, 1987), the Longhorns posted an win in Austin. HORNS AT HOME UT is in its 41st season of play at the Frank Erwin Center. The Longhorns have registered an all-time record of (.804) in the building. Texas is (.856) at the Erwin Center in the last 16 seasons (dating to the start of the season). UT is at home during the Shaka Smart era, including a 5-1 mark in the season. AT THE ERWIN CENTER (LAST 16 YEARS) Year Home Record TOTAL LOUISIANA TECH GAME NOTES Texas improved to 4-0 in the all-time series against Lousiana Tech. This marked the first contest between the two schools since Nov. 10, UT held the Bulldogs to 33.9% (21-62) FG shooting, including 24.0% (6-25) from three-point range, and allowed just 6 assists against 15 turnovers during the contest. Texas converted 52.4% (11-21) from the field in the second half. The Longhorns held Louisiana Tech to 26 points on 29.6% (8-27) FG shooting, including 26.7% (4-15) from three-point range, in the first half. The Bulldogs had just 3 assists against 12 turnovers in the opening 20 minutes. Mohamed Bamba reached double figures in scoring (14 points, one shy of his season high) for the sixth time this year (9 games). He tied his season high in blocked shots (5) in just 18 minutes of action. Bamba has registered at least 2 blocks in each of his first 9 contests to start his collegiate career (has 37 total in his first 9 games). Dylan Osetkowski set a season high in scoring with 22 points, one shy of his career high (23) during his time at Tulane. He tied his season high in three-point field goals made (3-5). A CONSISTENT DANCER Texas has advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 17 of the last 19 and 25 of the last 29 years. UT has made a total of 33 all-time appearances in the NCAA Tournament (35-36 record). 20-WIN MARK Texas has reached the 20-win mark 16 times in the last 18 seasons. UT has reached the 20-win plateau a total of 31 times in its previous 111 seasons of basketball. YEAR 3 OF THE SHAKA SMART ERA Shaka Smart was introduced as the 24th head basketball coach at The University of Texas on April 3, The 40-year-old Smart spent six seasons ( ) at Virginia Commonwealth University, leading the Rams to an overall record of (.744) and five NCAA Tournament appearances including the 2011 Final Four. In nine seasons overall as a collegiate head coach, Smart has compiled a (.681) record. Six of his eight previous teams have advanced to NCAA Tournament play. Smart earned his 200th career coaching win during UT s victory at VCU (Dec. 5). CARDIAC HORNS UNDER SMART The Longhorns have won three contests during the Shaka Smart era on game-winning field goals in the final 2.0 seconds. Javan Felix hit a jumper as time expired to beat No. 3/3 North Carolina in Austin on Dec. 12, Isaiah Taylor went coast-to-coast and hit a running floater high off the glass with 1.1 seconds left for the victory at Stanford on Dec. 19, Andrew Jones hit a 3-pointer from 25 feet with 1.8 seconds left to lift Texas to an home win against (Jan. 23, 2017). BACK-TO-BACK CLOSE CALLS IN OT Texas dropped consecutive heart-breaking overtime games to No. 1/1 Duke (85-78) and No. 17/17 Gonzaga (76-71) in the PK80 Invitational semifinals and 3rd-place games in Portland over Thanksgiving weekend. In the OT loss to No. 1/1 Duke (Nov. 24), the Longhorns led for a total of 37:13 in the contest. Texas held a advantage at the half and led by as much as 16 points (62-46) following a Dylan Osetkowski dunk with 10:25 remaining. In the OT loss to No. 17/17 Gonzaga (Nov. 26), the Bulldogs led by as much as 21 points (54-33) with 14:08 left in regulation. Texas outscored Gonzaga by a margin in the final 14:08 of regulation to force the overtime period. Gonzaga led by 11 (63-52) with 3:20 remaining, by 7 (66-59) at the 1:01 mark and by 5 (67-62) with 17 seconds left. Mohamed Bamba converted a put-back with 6 seconds left to trim the margin to Osetkowski then picked off an outlet pass at mid-court,

3 drove and found Andrew Jones in the corner, and Jones hit a 3-pointer with 2 seconds left to tie the score (67-67). SUMMER TOUR DOWN UNDER The Longhorns embarked on a 12-day, four-game tour of Australia from August The trip, which included stays in Melbourne, Cairns and Sydney, marked just the second overseas summer tour by a UT men s basketball team and first since the program visited Australia in the summer prior to the season. UT posted a 2-2 mark during its four-game exhibition schedule. The Longhorns played three professional teams that compete in Australia s National Basketball League (NBL). Texas defeated the Cairns Taipans (71-69) and dropped contests to Melbourne United (85-75) and the Illawarra Hawks (88-60). UT also defeated the Dandenong Rangers (96-84), a pro team that competes in the Australia State League (one level below the NBL). While in Melbourne, the team toured Eureka Tower, Queen Victoria Market and the Royal Melbourne Zoo. The Longhorns experienced the Great Barrier Reef near Cairns and saw the Sydney Opera House and SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium. Prior to the tour, the players participated in a five-week class worth one credit hour on Australian history and culture. The class was instructed by Rhonda L. Evans, J.D., Ph.D, who serves as Director, Edward A. Clark Center for Australian and New Zealand Studies and Senior Lecturer, Department of Government at The University of Texas. HORNS, AGGIES PLAY CHARITY EXHIBITION Texas and Texas A&M played a charity exhibition contest on Oct. 25 inside Tudor Fieldhouse on the campus of Rice University in Houston. All proceeds from the game were donated to the Rebuild Texas Relief Fund ( Andrew Jones had a team-high 18 points, while Mohamed Bamba added 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Texas to a win. WHAT RETURNS FROM LAST YEAR Gone from the team are four letterwinners: starting forward Jarrett Allen (No. 22 pick by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2017 NBA Draft), starting forward Shaquille Cleare (66 career games/33 starts), forward Mareik Isom (15 games/1 start) and guard Kendal Yancy (127 career games/50 starts). The Longhorns return: 49.8% of their scoring (1,104 of 2,215), 43.3% of their rebounding (446 of 1,030), 80.6% of their assists (304 of 377) and 56.3% of their minutes played (3,718 of 6,600). CENTURY MARK SUCCESS Texas improved to all-time when scoring over 100 points with its victory in the season opener against Northwestern State (Nov. 10). The Longhorns improved to 67-1 in home games all-time when topping the century mark. The 105 points marked the ninth time that UT has reached the century mark in scoring in a season opener and first since the season opener against Alcorn State ( win). BALANCED ATTACK WHILE PROTECTING THE ROCK Texas has a 122-to-119 assists-to-turnover ratio (1.03 ratio) through its first 10 games. Four UT players are averaging double figures in scoring (Andrew Jones, Dylan Osetkowski, Mohamed Bamba and Kerwin Roach II). Seven different Longhorns reached double figures in scoring in the season opener: Mohamed Bamba (15), Andrew Jones (14), Dylan Osetkowski (13), Jase Febres (13), Matt Coleman (10), Kerwin Roach II (10) and Jacob Young (10). EIGHT different Longhorns registered a dunk in the season opener: Mohamed Bamba, James Banks III, Matt Coleman, Andrew Jones, Dylan Osetkowski, Kerwin Roach II, Jericho Sims and Jacob Young. PRESEASON INDIVIDUAL HONORS Mohamed Bamba is one of 32 watch list members for the 2018 Oscar Robertson Trophy (national player of the year) and one of 50 watch list members for both the Citizen Naismith Trophy (national player of the year) and John R. Wooden Award (national player of the year). He is one of 20 watch list members for the 2018 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award. Bamba also was named the Big 12 Conference Preseason Freshman of the Year Andrew Jones is one of 20 watch list members for the 2018 Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award. Dylan Osetkowski is one of 20 watch list members for the 2018 Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award. OSETKOWSKI DISPLAYS ALL-AROUND GAME Junior forward Dylan Osetkowski (pronounced: oh-set-cowskee) is off to an impressive start for the Longhorns. He has recorded a pair of double-doubles and ranks second in scoring (15.1 ppg), rebounding (7.5 rpg) and minutes (29.9 mpg) through the first 10 contests. Osetkowski has reached double figures in scoring nine times and twice in rebounds. Osetkowski recorded a season-high 22 points (7-12 FG, 3-5 threes, 5-6 FT), one shy of his career high (23 during his time at Tulane), 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in 38 minutes against Louisiana Tech (Dec. 16). He registered a team-high 17 points (6-11 FG, 2-4 threes, 3-4 FT), 5 rebounds and 2 steals in 29 minutes against Michigan (Dec. 12). Osetkowski posted 17 points (3-6 threes) and 7 rebounds in 34 minutes at VCU (Dec. 5). He set a season high in 3-pointers made. He tallied a team-best 19 points (8-11 FG) and 8 rebounds (6 offensive) in 21 minutes against Florida A&M (Nov. 29). In three games at the PK80, Osetkowski averaged 14.0 ppg and 7.0 rpg in 36.3 mpg while adding 7 assists and 6 steals. He recorded 19 points (9-20 FG), 7 rebounds (4 offensive), a season-high 5 assists against 2 turnovers and 2 steals in a careerhigh 44 minutes against No. 1/1 Duke (Nov. 24). Osetkowski tallied 12 points (4-4 FT) and 7 boards in 32 minutes against Butler (Nov. 23). He registered a game-high 17 points (5-13 FG, 6-9 FT) and a game-high 14 boards and 2 steals in 34 minutes against New Hampshire (Nov. 14). Osetkowski posted a double-double with 13 points (5-11 FG) and 10 rebounds (5 offensive) in just 21 minutes of action against Northwestern State (Nov. 10).

4 He spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Tulane University ( and ) and played in 65 career games for the Green Wave. He sat out the season due to NCAA transfer rules. As a sophomore at Tulane ( ), Osetkowski registered a team-best 11 double-doubles and led the squad in rebounding (8.3 rpg) while starting all 34 games for the Green Wave. He ranked third on the team in scoring (11.3 ppg) and second in minutes (32.4 mpg). Bamba posted 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks in a seasonhigh 35 minutes against Michigan (Dec. 12). He tallied 13 points (5-9 FG), 13 rebounds (5 offensive) and 4 blocks in 33 minutes at VCU (Dec. 5). His first-half dunk was named ESPN s SportsCenter No. 1 Play of the Day. Bamba recorded 10 points, 8 rebounds (4 offensive), 4 blocks and 2 steals in 29 minutes against Florida A&M (Nov. 29). He had 11 blocks during the three games at the PK80 tourney. Bamba posted 10 rebounds, tied his season high with 5 blocks and added 9 points against No. 17/17 Gonzaga (Nov. 26). He recorded a team-high 10 rebounds, 9 points and 2 blocks in 26 minutes against No. 1/1 Duke (Nov. 24). Bamba tallied a game-high 12 boards and 4 blocks in addition to 6 points in 32 minutes against Butler (Nov. 23). After missing the UNH game due to a concussion sustained in practice on Nov. 12, he returned to action against Lipscomb (Nov. 18) and recorded 13 points (5-8 FG), 10 rebounds and 5 blocks in 19 minutes. Bamba recorded a team-high 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-4 FT) to go along with 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 assists and 1 steal in just 23 minutes in his collegiate debut against Northwestern State (Nov. 10). His 4 blocks were just one shy of the UT freshman debut record (5 by James Banks III in the opener). Bamba earned Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference co-newcomer of the Week honors (Nov. 13) for his efforts in the season-opening win. JONES GETS REAL-WORLD ADVICE Sophomore guard Andrew Jones went through the NBA Pre-Draft Combine in May, but he decided to withdraw his name from the draft pool and return to Texas. He picked up three main take-aways from his time with NBA personnel: His decision-making in transition needed to improve to minimize turnovers. He needed to work on consistency, which would in turn give him the ability to make his team win. Adapt and become a lockdown defender. Scouts wanted to see Jones guard multiple positions, using his size, strength and athleticism as an advantage. KEEPING UP WITH THE JONES Sophomore guard Andrew Jones returns for his second season in the backcourt rotation. Jones has played in 41 games (31 starts) and reached double figures in scoring 29 times. Jones suffered a fracture in his right wrist during the final few minutes of the win at VCU (Dec. 5) and is out indefinitely. There is no official timetable for his return, but the injury is not season-ending. Through his first eight games this year (prior to the injury), Jones led the team in scoring (15.3 ppg) while hitting (.524) field goals, including (.432) from 3-point range, in 25.8 minutes per contest. He has reached double figures in scoring in seven of the first eight contests this year. Jones recorded a career-high 19 points (6-10 FG, 4-6 threes) in 30 minutes at VCU. He tied his career high in 3-pointers made. He had 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-4 threes) in 19 minutes against Florida A&M (Nov. 29). In the three games at the PK80, Jones averaged a team-high 16.7 ppg and 3.0 apg while converting 50% (18-36) field goals, including 7-17 (.412) from 3-point range, in 30.0 mpg. He had 18 points (6-12 FG, 3-5 threes) and 4 rebounds in 28 minutes against No. 17/17 Gonzaga (Nov. 26). Jones tallied 16 points (5-11 FG, 4-4 FT) and added a season-high 6 assists against 1 turnover in 33 minutes against No. 1/1 Duke (Nov. 24). He registered 16 points (7-13 FG) and 4 boards in 29 minutes against Butler (Nov. 23). Jones had 16 points (6-11 FG, 3-3 FT), 4 rebounds and 2 steals in 23 minutes against New Hampshire (Nov. 14). He recorded 14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 assists without a turnover in 22 minutes against Northwestern State (Nov. 10). Jones tied for the team lead in assists (117, 3.5 apg) and ranked second on the team in steals (41), third in scoring (11.4 ppg), fourth in minutes played (27.9 mpg) and tied for fourth in rebounding (3.9 rpg) last season. 5 ROACH S RESUME Junior guard Kerwin Roach II returns for his third season in the backcourt rotation and has embraced the role of defensive stopper. He has played in 75 career games (41 starts). Roach has topped the 20-point mark twice and reached double figures in scoring 32 times. Through the first 10 games, Roach ranks fourth on the team in scoring (10.8 ppg) and third in minutes (29.7 mpg) while hitting (.597) field goals. He has reached double figures in scoring in six of the first 10 contests this year. Roach has converted 72.5% of his two-point FG attempts this year (37-51). Roach registered 11 points (4-8 FG, 2-2 FT) and 6 rebounds in 38 minutes against Michigan (Dec. 12). He set a season high with 7 assists (one shy of career high) against 3 turnovers to go along with 7 points (3-3 FG), 6 boards and 2 steals in 34 minutes at VCU (Dec. 5). Roach had 11 points (5-7 FG), 3 assists without a turnover and 2 steals in 18 minutes against Florida A&M (Nov. 29). In the three games at the PK80, Roach averaged 11.0 ppg and 5.3 rpg while converting 59.1% (13-22) field goals, including 2-4 threes, in 33.7 minutes per contest. He tied his career high in rebounds (11) while adding 7 points and 4 assists in 36 minutes against No. 17/17 Gonzaga (Nov. 26). He registered 10 points, 4 assists against 1 turnover and a teamhigh 3 steals in a team-best 24 minutes against Northwestern State (Nov. 10). Roach played in 32 of a possible 33 games (31 starts) last year. He led the team in steals (51) and tied for the team lead in assists (117, 3.7 apg), ranked fourth in scoring (9.9 rpg), tied for fourth in rebounding (3.9 rpg) and third in minutes played (30.0 mpg) as a sophomore. Coleman leads the squad in assists (3.8 apg) and minutes (31.6 mpg) and ranks second in steals (12) and fifth in scoring (7.2 ppg). Coleman ranks third in the Big 12 (thru games of Dec. 16) in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.45). He posted 7 points (season-high 5-7 FT) and 4 assists in 32 minutes against Louisiana Tech (Dec. 16). In three games at the PK80, Coleman averaged 10.7 ppg and recorded 15 assists against 3 turnovers and a team-high 7 steals while playing a team-best 37.7 mpg. He set career highs in scoring (team-high 19 points), field goals made (7-15), 3-pointer made (3-7), steals (4) and minutes played (41) and added 4 assists against 1 turnover in the OT loss to No. 17/17 Gonzaga (Nov. 26). Coleman registered a career-high 9 assists against 1 turnover and added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals in 35 minutes against Butler (Nov. 23). He tallied 10 points (4-7 FG) and 3 rebounds in 22 minutes against Lipscomb (Nov. 18). His 7 assists against Northwestern State marked a tie for the third-highest number of assists in a freshman debut in UT history (T.J. Ford holds the mark with 14 against Arizona in the opener). YOUNG S RETURN Sophomore guard Jacob Young returns for his second year in the backcourt rotation. He has played in 43 games (6 starts) and has reached double figures in scoring 6 times. In the first 10 contests this year, he ranks sixth on the team in scoring (5.8 ppg) while hitting (.489) field goals, including 8-22 (.364) three-pointers, in just 12.5 minutes per game. Young made his first start of the year against Louisiana Tech (Dec. 16) and recorded 10 points (4-9 FG), 3 rebounds and 2 assists without a turnover in a season-high 27 minutes. He posted 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-5 threes), 3 boards and 1 steal in 10 minutes against New Hampshire (Nov. 14). Young recorded 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-5 threes) in just 14 minutes against Northwestern State (Nov. 10). He averaged 3.7 points in 16.4 minutes per game as a freshman. Young had a career-high 14 points (5-12 FG, career-best 4-9 threes) and 3 rebounds in 20 minutes at (March 1). PROVIDES EXPERIENCE & LEADERSHIP Junior guard Eric Davis Jr. returns for his third season in the backcourt rotation. He has played in 75 career games (25 starts) and has reached double figures in scoring 25 times in his career. He ranks sixth on the team in scoring (5.4 ppg) while averaging 18.3 minutes per contest this season. Davis missed the first game of his career against Louisiana Tech (Dec. 16) with a right wrist injury. He registered 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-4 FT) in 21 minutes at VCU (Dec. 5). He converted a pair of free throws with 12 seconds to seal the win and provide the final margin of victory (71-67). Davis tallied 11 points (5-9 FG) and 3 boards in 18 minutes against New Hampshire (Nov. 14).

6 He played in all 33 games (22 starts) last year and ranked third on the team in assists (34), sixth in scoring (7.1 ppg) and fifth in minutes played (26.7 mpg). Davis earned a spot on the six-person Big 12 All-Newcomer Team in He was a two-time Phillips 66 Big 12 Newcomer of the Week (Nov. 30 and Dec. 14). IMPRESSIVE FRESHMAN CLASS Head coach Shaka Smart and the UT staff signed a five-man freshman class that ranked as the No. 5 recruiting class in the country by Rivals. All five freshmen signees were ranked among the Top 80 players nationally by one of the three major recruiting services (Bamba, No. 2 Rivals; Coleman, No. 29 ESPN; Febres, No. 47 Scout; Sims, No. 51 Scout; Hamm Jr., No. 80 ESPN). Mohamed Bamba was ranked the No. 2 overall prospect in the nation by Rivals and No. 3 by ESPN and Scout. He played for Team USA in the 2017 Nike Hoop Summit. Bamba earned a spot on the 2017 Naismith Trophy High School All-America first team and was one of five finalists for the Naismith National High School Player of the Year. He averaged 12.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.4 blocks per game as a senior while leading Westtown School to a 32-2 mark and a second straight Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association state title. Matt Coleman was ranked the No. 29 overall prospect in the nation by ESPN. He averaged 12.3 points, 7.9 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game while leading Oak Hill Academy to a 37-5 record as a senior. In his junior year, Coleman averaged 11.2 points and 6.6 assists per game and paced Oak Hill to a 42-1 mark and a championship at the 2016 Dick s Sporting Goods High School Nationals. Jase Febres was ranked the No. 47 overall prospect in the nation by Scout and No. 66 by Rivals. He was named District 16-6A Most Valuable Player by the Houston Chronicle as a senior, while leading Westfield to a 29-8 mark, the District 16-6A title and the second round of the Class 6A state tournament. Royce Hamm Jr. was ranked the No. 80 overall prospect in the nation by ESPN and No. 91 by Scout following his senior year. He earned first-team District 16-6A honors by the Houston Chronicle, while leading Davis to a mark and the first round of the Class 6A state tournament. Jericho Sims was ranked the No. 51 overall prospect in the nation by Scout, No 56 by Rivals and No. 65 by ESPN. He finished his prep career as the all-time leading scorer (2,005 career points) in Cristo Rey Jesuit history. He averaged 25 points and over 10 rebounds per game in his senior year. BAMBA IN GOOD COMPANY Mohamed Bamba is just the fourth signee in UT program history to rank as one of the nation s top 2 recruits. He joins Avery Bradley (No. 1 by ESPN in 2009), Kevin Durant (No. 2 by Rivals in 2006) and Myles Turner (No. 2 by ESPN in 2014). HIGH SCHOOL ALL-AMERICA TRADITION CONTINUES Mohamed Bamba competed in the 2017 McDonald s All- American Game. Bamba became the 19th player in UT history to participate in the McDonald s All-American Game. Both Bamba and Matt Coleman competed in the 2017 Jordan Brand Classic. They became the 14th and 15th players in UT history to participate in the Jordan Brand Classic. SIMS FINDING HIS NICHE Freshman forward Jericho Sims has emerged as the third frontcourt option for the Longhorns early this season. Sims is averaging 4.6 points and 3.5 rebounds (fourth on the team) in 16.1 minutes per game through the first 10 games. He ranks in a tie for second on the team in blocks (7) and has converted 51.4% (18-35) from the floor this season. Sims recorded season highs in points (9) and rebounds (8) while hitting 3-of-6 field goals and 3-of-5 free throws in 20 minutes against Louisiana Tech (Dec. 16). He tallied 7 points (2-4 FG, 3-4 FT) and 6 boards in 15 minutes against Florida A&M (Nov. 29). Sims registered 8 points (4-5 FG), 4 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal in 20 minutes against No. 1/1 Duke (Nov. 24). He earned the start against New Hampshire (Nov. 14) and tallied 8 points, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks in a season-high 21 minutes. BLOCK PARTY FOR BANKS Sophomore center James Banks returns for his second year in the frontcourt rotation. He has played in 38 career games. Banks is tied for second on the team in blocks (7) and is averaging 2.3 ppg and 2.5 rpg despite playing just 9.8 minutes per contest. He recorded 5 rebounds and one block in just 6 minutes of action against Louisiana Tech (Dec. 16). Banks set a career high in points (7) and FG made (3-3) to go along with 6 boards in 11 minutes against Northwestern State (Nov. 10). Banks ranked second on the team in blocked shots (39) last year. He registered at least one blocked shot in 20 of his 32 games played as a freshman. Banks set the UT freshman debut mark for most blocked shots (5 vs. Incarnate Word). The previous mark was 3 (Cameron Ridley vs. Fresno State in 2012; Damion James vs. Alcorn State in 2006). He was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Conference Rookie Team (cumulative 3.0 GPA). TEAM USA & CONNECTION Head coach Shaka Smart and three current Longhorns teamed up in the summer of 2016 to win gold for Team USA. Smart served as the head coach for the USA U18 National Team, which competed in July 2016 at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship in Valdivia, Chile. The 12-man roster included: Mohamed Bamba, Matt Coleman and James Banks III. It also featured former Longhorn Jarrett Allen. Allen and Banks were enrolled as freshmen at Texas at the time, and Bamba and Coleman were about to begin their senior seasons in high school. Smart posted a 5-0 mark with the Under-18 National Team. The Americans recorded a average margin of victory ( ) and led the tournament in scoring (93.4 ppg), field goal percentage (.461) assists (25.0 apg), steals (13.4 spg) and blocked shots (6.8 bpg).

7 UT INKS 4 DURING EARLY SIGNING PERIOD Brock Cunningham (Austin, Texas), Jaxson Hayes (Loveland, Ohio), Kamaka Hepa (Barrow, Alaska) and Gerald Liddell (Cibolo, Texas) signed National Letters of Intent to play basketball next season at The University of Texas during the early signing period. The quartet will join the Longhorns for the season. The four-man class is currently No. 8 nationally in the 247Sports composite team rankings and No. 10 in Rivals. Cunningham (6-7, 210), a forward from Westlake HS who plays under Robert Lucero, is ranked as the No. 121 prospect nationally by 247Sports composite. He averaged 14.7 ppg and 11.3 rpg as a junior and helped Westlake post a 29-7 mark. Cunningham claimed Central Texas Player of the Year honors by the Austin American-Statesman and earned District 25-6A MVP recognition after leading Westlake to the Class 6A state quarterfinals last season. Hayes (6-11, 210), a power forward from Cincinnati Moeller HS who plays under Carl Kremer, is ranked as the No. 137 prospect nationally by Rivals. He registered 31 blocks as a junior and helped Moeller (28-1) reach the Division I state final and notch a school-record 28 wins. Hepa (6-9, 210), a forward from Jefferson HS (Portland, Oregon) who plays under Pat Strickland, is ranked No. 44 overall nationally by Scout, No. 46 by Rivals, No. 50 by 247Sports composite and No. 62 by ESPN. He averaged 16.4 ppg and 11.3 rpg as a junior and led Jefferson to the Class 6A state championship in Oregon. A native of Barrow, Alaska, he was a two-time Gatorade State Player of the Year in Alaska and led Barrow to consecutive Class 3A state titles as a freshman and sophomore before moving to Portland. Liddell (6-7, 180), a forward from Steele HS who plays under Lonny Hubbard, is ranked No. 32 nationally by Scout, No. 40 by ESPN and 247Sports composite and No. 43 by Rivals. He averaged 19.7 ppg, 8.6 rpg and 1.7 bpg as a junior and claimed 6A all-state honors by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC). WALK-ON PAIR EXCELS IN CLASSROOM Senior walk-ons Ryan McClurg and Joe Schwartz have both impressed in the classroom during their UT careers. Both are twotime selections to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, earning the accolades in and McClurg is a Finance major with a Real Estate certificate who is on pace to graduate from the prestigious McCombs School of Business in May Schwartz earned his bachelor s degree in Communication Studies and a Business Foundations certificate in August He began graduate study in Sport Management during the fall. IMPRESSIVE THREE-POINT STREAK The last time Texas did NOT convert a 3-pointer in a contest came on Dec. 18, 1990, in an overtime victory at UC Santa Barbara. The Horns were 0-of-2 from beyond the arc that day. The Longhorns enter Monday s contest having hit at least one 3-pointer in 901 consecutive games. In fact, UT has converted at least one 3-pointer in 1,029 of 1,036 games since the 3-pointer was introduced prior to the season. The Horns have failed to ATTEMPT at least one 3-pointer just one time in school history (Feb. 24, 1988 in a win at ).

8 OFF THE COURT WITH THE HORNS Mohamed Bamba has a goal to travel to six of the seven continents (all except Antarctica) by his 20th birthday (May 12, 2018). Bamba has already been to four continents (Asia, Australia, North America and South America). While in high school, Bamba twice attended the prestigious MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, an annual forum to discuss the increasing role of analytics in the sports industry. Both of Bamba s parents (father Lancine Bamba, mother Aminata Johnson) are originally from Ivory Coast (Cote d Ivoire). The couple met in New York City after each had come separately to the United States. Matt Coleman s father, Clifford Coleman, played basketball at Newport News Apprentice School (NCAA Division III) and is currently the head coach at Bryant and Stratton Junior College (Virginia Beach, Va.). Eric Davis Jr. s father, Eric Davis Sr., played football at Saginaw Valley College ( ). His uncle, Tony Davis, played basketball at the University of Minnesota and is now the head basketball coach at Saginaw s Arthur Hill High School. Eric s mother s name is Merry Christmas. Andrew Jones sister, Alexis Jones, played basketball at ( ) and was selected as the No. 12 overall pick of the 2017 WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx. Elijah Mitrou-Long is the third-youngest of 10 children in his family. His older brother, Nazareth Mitrou-Long, played at University ( ) and begins the season with the Salt Lake City Stars (Utah Jazz NBA G League affiliate). Elijah wears jersey No. 55 to honor his uncle, Tinos Mitrou. Dylan Osetkowski s brother, Cory Osetkowski, played basketball at Columbia University ( ) and set the school record for most career games played (114). Cory also pitched for the Columbia baseball team as a freshman in Kerwin Roach II won back-to-back 5A state championships in the triple jump for North Shore HS as a junior (2014) and senior (2015).
