Alix averaged 11.9 points per game, ranking fourth among Big 12 underclassmen. She shot 43.1 percent from 3-point range to rank second in the Big 12 and 10th in the NCAA. Other returning starters include sophomore center Jordan Moore and Jada Butts. Toree Thompson, who averaged 7.6 points per game off the TCU bench last season, also returns. What's Gone: The Frogs lose six letterwinners from the squad, including two starters. Zahna Medley, a first team All-Big 12 selection, is the most noteworthy loss. Medley graduated from TCU as the program's all-time leading scorer after averaging 16.3 points per game a year ago. She is the first player in school history to earn three first team all-conference honors. TCU also losses Veja Hamilton who averaged 10.6 points per game. What's New: The Frogs welcome five freshmen that come in as the nation's 8th-ranked recruiting class, the highest rated class in TCU history. McDonald's All-American Amber Ramirez is the highest rated of the freshmen, ranking as high as the No. 11 player in the nation last season. Ramirez won two medals with USA Basketball this summer while competing with the U18 National Team (gold) and the U18 3x3 National Team (silver). Ramirez, Mikayla Christian, Danielle Rainey and Kianna Ray all ranked among the top 25 guards in the nation by ESPN HoopGurlz last season. The Storylines: TCU is a young team in with eight freshmen and sophomores among the 13-player roster. Junior AJ Alix, senior Jada Butts and senior Carol Willie are the only three players on the team that have played in more than 50 games in their careers. The Frogs have advanced to the postseason in 14 of the last 16 seasons, including a WNIT Sweet 16 appearance last year. Raegan Pebley is the first head coach in TCU history to lead the Frogs to the postseason in each of their first two seasons. The Frogs ranked second in the Big 12 in scoring offense last season, averaging 72.2 points per game. TCU was first in the league with pointers per game and a 39.1 percent mark from long range. 1
