The Horned Frogs contest against the Bears will tip at 8:0 p.m. CT and be shown live on the Big 12 Network with Dave Armstrong (Play-By-Play) and Reid Gettys (Color) calling the action live. Fans not able to attend the game versus Baylor can follow it live on FrogVision. THE OPPONENT Baylor comes into postseason play riding a three-game winning streak after defeating K-State in its last outing, The Bears, who are overall and wrapped-up conference play with a 9-9 mark, have been led by Cory Jefferson and Isaiah Austin, both of which earned All-Big 12 recognition Sunday afternoon. Jefferson, a third-team selection, has carried Baylor, averaging 1.4 points and 8.1 rebounds this season. Austin, a member of the all-defensive team as well as an honorable mention honoree, is averaging 10.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and a Big 12-best.1 blocks per game. THE SERIES TCU and Baylor will be playing for the 17rd time in the all-time series Wednesday. The Bears own a all-time advantage after defeating the Frogs twice this season. The last time TCU defeated Baylor came in a victory in In all, the Frogs have won four out of the last eight in the series. CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT HISTORY VS. BAYLOR Since conference tournament play began for the Southwest Conference in 1976, TCU and Baylor have met four times in a conference tournament. The Horned Frogs have won two out of the four outings, including the last time the two Texas foes met in 1992 at the SWC Postseason Classic XVII. On the day, the Purple and White dropped the Bears, OTHER CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT NOTES TCU has posted a 19-6 record in conference tournament games. The Frogs all-time records by conference tournament: Southwest Conference ( : 10-20), WAC ( : 5-5), Conference USA ( : 2-), Mountain West ( : 2-7) and Big 12 (201-present: 0-1). TCU has reached the championship game of a conference tournament on two occasions. The first time was in the 198 SWC Tournament, where it dropped a decision to the Houston squad that fell to NC State in the NCAA title game. The Frogs last appearance came in the 1997 WAC Tournament, where they fell to a Keith Van Horn-led Utah, Trent Johnson is 12-1 in conference tournaments. Johnson led Nevada to the 2004 WAC tourney title. His 200 Wolf Pack squad finished runner-up, as did his Stanford team at the 2008 Pac-10 tournament. Johnson s all-time records by conference tournament: Big West (Nevada, 2000: 1-1), WAC (Nevada, : 6-), Pac-10 (Stanford, : -4), SEC (LSU, : 2-4) and Big 12 (0-1). STAGGERING NUMBERS Of the 16 players listed on the roster, only four in Kyan Anderson, Jarvis Ray, Brandon Parrish and Christian Gore have played in every game this season. The last five games, the Frogs have played without the services of second-leading scorer and junior Amric Fields. Nationally, TCU s depletion is not like any seen as only Loyola Marymount, Penn, Quinnipiac and UC Santa Barbara have had five or more student-athletes expected to miss games entering last week. 2 LAST TIME OUT Game No. 0 // March 8, 2014 TCU 67, Oklahoma 97 Daniel-Meyer Coliseum FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU not only put the finishing touches on its regular-season this past Saturday, but also closed the doors to Daniel- Meyer Coliseum dropping a decision to No. 2 Oklahoma. In his final home game, senior Jarvis Ray, who recorded two blocks in the contest, had a career-night, scoring a career-high 18 points on 9-for-18 from the field, while grabbing a team-high six boards. In all, the Louisiana native posted career-highs in points, field goals made, field goals attempted and blocks. Junior Kyan Anderson was also in double-figures with 17 points on 6-of-1 from the floor. He also dished out four assists in the loss. 3 PLAYER BROADCAST NOTES 0 Charles Hill Jr. 6-2, SOPHOMORE, GUARD 4Hill Jr. has made two starts this season against Abilene Christian (Nov. 19) and UTPA (Dec. 15). He scored 10 points against Tulsa and was named the CBS Sports Network Player of the Game versus the Golden Hurricane. Came off the bench and totaled a career-high 20 points against Mississippi State. 4Hill Jr. appeared in 24 games as a true freshman, 17 in a reserve role and seven as a starter. He made each of his starts in Big 12 play. Overall he led TCU twice in scoring and once in rebounds. 4He finished the season ranked third on the team in -pointers, sixth in assists and seventh in points and rebounds. In all, he was listed as the No. 17 player in the state of Texas by ESPN.com. 4Williams comes from a military background as both his mother and father served for the United States. Clyde Smith III 6-2, SOPHOMORE, GUARD 4Smith III saw action in 2 games off the bench during his true freshman campaign, including 12 Big 12 contests. He saw his first game action of the season on Nov. 19 against Abilene Christian, pulling down two rebounds in seven minutes on the court. Competed in 12 minutes at Baylor and was a perfect 2-for-2 from the field for a season-high four points. 4A Houston native, Smith III arrived at TCU after spending three seasons at a New England-area prep school, The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Conn. 4A three-star recruit according to Rivals.com, Smith was ranked as the nation s No. 50 point guard prospect by ESPN and the No. 27 overall player in the state of Texas. 4 Amric Fields 6-9, JUNIOR, FORWARD (AM-rick) 4Fields, who has sat out the last three games due to injury, returned to the court on Nov. 24 at Washington State after missing all but three games in and the first three contests this season. Has led the team in scoring six times this season and scored in double digits in 14 of the 18 contests he has played in this season, including a season-high 22 vs West Virginia. Totaled a career-high in blocks () against Texas and set a new career-high in assists (4) and three point field goals (4-7) at Iowa State. 4Fields became the first TCU player ever to be named Mountain West Sixth Man of the Year in after leading all league bench players (five starts or fewer) in scoring during MW play (9.6 ppg). 4Prior to his injury last season, he led TCU in scoring during its season opener vs. Cal Poly (Nov. 9), totaling 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting. He has scored in double figures 25 times this season and broke his season-high with 29 points against Baylor. He has tallied double digits in scoring twice and ranks second on the squad with 8 assists this season. 4Gore redshirted during his first full season at TCU. Gore played during 2011 Fall semester as a true freshman season for Brown University before transferring to TCU in January. He saw action in 12 games for the Bears with one start, averaging 2.5 points and 1.0 rebounds per game. 20 Thomas Montigel 6-2, SENIOR, GUARD (MONTI-gill) 4Montigel has appeared in 24 contests this season off the bench and started the season finale agaisnt Oklahoma. He was perfect from the free throw line against Grambling State and at Kansas. He also posted a career-high seven points and four rebounds against GSU. He followed it up with a season-high 20 minutes, scoring six points and grabbing three boards against Tulsa. 4Montigel, who was named an Academic All-Big 12 Second Team last season, served as a reserve guard for TCU during his junior season, appearing in 17 games with one start. 4Montigel is the son of Bill and Margaret Montigel. Bill is the head men s golf coach at TCU and a former assistant for the TCU men s basketball program ( ) who was responsible for the recruitment of former Frog great and current Pitt head coach Jaime Dixon. 21 Hudson Price 6-6, FRESHMAN, GUARD 4Price started the season-opener against SMU on Nov. 8 and six Big 12 games this season. He missed time following the SMU game due to injury, but saw his first action against Tulsa, playing one minute. Played 17 minutes against UTPA and drained a three, while also pulling down three rebounds. Notched a career-high five boards against Grambling State. Recorded a career-high eight points at Texas, along with a career-high in free throws (5-6) in 2 minutes of play. 4A three-star recruit according to Rivals.com, Price played the last two years for The First Academy in Orlando, Fla. 4The first non-texan to sign with TCU in head coach Trent Johnson s tenure. His father, Mark Price, played 12 seasons in the NBA and was a four-time NBA All-Star with the Cavs. 22 Jarvis Ray 6-6, SENIOR, GUARD 4Ray has started all 0 games this season and is averaging 9.1 points per game for the Horned Frogs. He is second on the team with 41 offensive rebounds and has scored in double figures 12 times this season. Ray has led TCU in scoring in three games and notched double-doubles at West Virginia (1 points, 1 rebounds) and at Texas (10 points, 11 rebounds). 4Ray is one of two seniors on this years squad. Ray emerged as a starter at guard for TCU as a junior before suffering a season-ending injury prior to the start of the Big 12 schedule. The injury forced him to sit out TCU s final 21 contests. 4Ray scored 10 or more points three times last season after entering the year with just one doublefigure game last season. 2 Devonta Abron 6-8, JUNIOR, FORWARD (de-von-tay) 4Abron suffered a season-ending injury during the Frogs summer Canada trip and will have to sit out this season. 4Abron led the Horned Frogs in blocked shots and field-goal percentage, ranked No. 2 on the team in rebounding and was No. 4 in both scoring and steals. He was third on the team in blocked shots, fourth in steals and fifth in rebounding. 44 Aaron Durley 6-10, RS FRESHMAN, CENTER 4Durley will not play this season after suffering a second season-ending injury this season in Canada. 4He formerly was a standout Little League baseball player while living in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Durley played in the Little League World Series for the Arabian American team that reached the event in both 2005 and He is the tallest player in Little League World Series history.

4 ANDERSON HONORED BY BIG 12 Junior guard Kyan Anderson was named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention Sunday afternoon. Anderson, a Fort Worth native, closed out league play ranking No. 9 in both scoring and assists after averaging 17. points per game and.78 assists per contest, respectively. He also ranked in the top-5 during conference action in free throw percentage (No. ), -point field goal percentage (No. 4) and minutes played (No. 4). In 18 games, Anderson scored in double-figures in 16 of the 18 contests, including seven games of 20 or more points. He also dished out five or more assists in five league games. HE S IN SHAPE Simply put, Kyan Anderson, a junior from Fort Worth, singlehandedly kept the Frogs in the game at Texas during the first half, scoring 18 of TCU s opening 27 points. Anderson scored the first 14 points for the Purple and White to begin the game. When broken down even further, Anderson, who tallied 16 out of the first 17 points of the game for TCU, watched on as he was the lone player to score from the field until freshman Hudson Price buried a three with :1 showing on the clock in the first half. The junior has now scored over 16 points in the opening stanza against Baylor (18), Kansas (21), Kansas State (17) and now Texas (18). RAY ROLLING ON Since junior Amric Fields hasn t been able to go, senior Jarvis Ray has stepped up his production in the last five games. Ray, who is coming off an 18-point performance versus Oklahoma after posting his second-straight career double-double at Texas, is averaging 12.4 points per game, while shooting 49 percent from the floor in the five games. He is also averaging 7.4 rebounds a contest since Fields departure. A FEBRUARY TO REMEMBER In the eight games last month, junior Kyan Anderson averaged 21.4 points per game and shot a blistering 50 percent from deep in February. The junior, who also dished out 4. assists per game during the month and shot 50.9 percent from the floor, only missed six free throw s the entire month, going 45-of-51 (.882). He posted four-straight games of 27, 29, 25 and 2 points against Iowa State, Baylor, Kansas and K-State respectively, while scoring 20 or more points in five out of the eight contests. DOUBLE TROUBLE Freshman Karviar Shepherd posted his second-straight and fourth career double-double, scoring 11 points, while grabbing 10 boards against Oklahoma State. The freshman, who had scored in double-figures in four-straight conference games after scoring a team-high 14 at WVU, tallied his third double-double during conference play this season against the Cowboys, having done so at Oklahoma (12 points, 11 rebounds) and versus Iowa State (14 points, 15 rebounds). EXCELLING IN THE CLASSROOM Senior Thomas Montigel and sophomore Christian Gore were among the 16 players named to the 2014 Academic All-Big 12 First Team as announced by the league office. FIRST HALF DOMINATION In the four outings prior to Oklahoma State, junior Kyan Anderson, who currently ranks seventh in the Big 12 in scoring, had caught fire during the opening frame of play. The Fort Worth native totaled a combined 65 points in the first half against Baylor (18), Kansas (21), Kansas State (17) and Iowa State (9), respectively. In all, he has now dropped 20 or more points in five out of the last eight contests and seven times in the last 12 games. Against Iowa State, the junior scored 18 points to see his streak of four-straight games of 20 or more points come to an end. At K-State, Anderson scored 17 of the Frogs final 20 points of the opening half. THE DYNAMIC DUO Heading into Wednesday, junior s Kyan Anderson and Amric Fields have formed quite the tandem during conference play on the offensive end. The duo have scored 480 of TCU s 1,062 points, which is 45 percent of the Purple and White s scoring in league play. Anderson and Fields have also dished out 50 percent (88-of- 175) of TCU s assists in conference action. INSIDE THE LAST FIVE MINUTES A recent trend has become noticeable during the Horned Frogs 0 games this season. In the last five minutes of a game when TCU has the lead during any point, it has gone on to claim victory. In the 21 losses, the Frogs have never led under the five-minute mark. FOLLOWING HALFTIME Heading into Wednesday, the Horned Frogs have made it a point to improve following halftime in each league game. TCU has held its opponent to 18 less shot attempts. SECOND HALF SUCCESS In 0 outings, TCU has come out of halftime firing on all cylinders as the Frogs have outscored their opponents by a combined score of in the first four minutes of action. SHUTTING DOWN THE OPPOSITION FROM DEEP TCU held the likes of Texas, Texas Tech and Iowa State to only 1 made three s last month. The Red Raiders, Longhorns and Cyclones combined to go 1-for-55 from long distance, which equals a dismal 2.6 percent. PLAYING BIG Against Texas Tech, the Purple and White had only nine out of their 16 available, with only seven being on scholarship. With 6-foot-10 post Karviar Shepherd suffering a hand injury to his non-shooting hand versus Kansas, the Frogs were left with only one student-athlete who checked in at taller than 6-foot-7 in Amric Fields (6-foot-9). Even with the lack of height available, the Frogs out-rebounded the Red Raiders to the tune of 26-24, marking only the third time in nine Big 12 games that Texas Tech has been out-rebounded by its opponent. ANDERSON S PRODUCTION BROKEN DOWN Kyan Anderson leads TCU this season, averaging a team-best 17.0 points per game. When breaking it down even further though, Anderson is averaging over a point per possession. Possessions are figured by field goals attempted, free throws attempted and total number of turnovers. The Fort Worth native has also dished out a total of 6 assists in the last 16 games. JOINING THE CLUB Junior Kyan Anderson became only the TCU player all-time to score 1,000 points in his career this season. The Fort Worth native, who has tallied 1,166 points during his three-year career, scored 27 points at Iowa State to hit the 1,000-point club. In recent years, only former Frog Ronnie Moss has scored more points after 80-plus games then Anderson. Moss totaled 1,095 in 82 games between DEFENSIVE MINDED The Frogs got back to their defensive ways in their home outing against Texas Tech. TCU didn t allow the Red Raiders to score from the field from the 9:2 mark of the first half until the opening 15 seconds of the second stanza of action. During that stretch, TCU, who closed the half on a 16-1 run, forced Texas Tech into five turnovers and a 0-for-6 showing from the floor. At Tech, the Frogs held Texas Tech to a 1-for-16 showing from behind the arc, which equals a dismal 6. percent from three. SHEPHERD SHOWING SKILLS Freshman Karviar Shepherd has started to control the middle of the court for the Frogs recently. The Dallas native, who recorded his fourth career double-double vs. Iowa State with 11 points and 10 boards, had posted four-straight conference games of doubledigits in points prior to at Texas. In the last 14 outings, the freshman is averaging 10.2 points per game and 6.0 boards. He is also shooting 40.4 percent from the field and has gone 7.5 percent (50-68) from the charity stripe. Shepherd had cashed in on 12-straight from the charity stripe prior to missing with 15:47 showing on the clock at OU in the second half. HIT THE GLASS TCU has proven this season that if it can win the rebounding battle that it will ultimately claim victory, going 6-2 overall when it out-rebounds the opposition. The only losses during that stretch came when the Purple and White out-rebounded Longwood earlier this season, 1-0, but were upset, and at Texas Tech (26-24). When breaking it down, the magic number is 4 as the Purple and White are 8-2 this season when grabbing 4 or more rebounds. The only losses came to SMU in the season-opener and against Iowa State. The Oklahoma City product has averaged over 25 points per game this season for the Oklahoma City Storm and is coming off a season in which he was the unanimous winner of the prestigious Maravich Award, given to the top home school player in the country. PARRISH COMING ON Freshman Brandon Parrish scored a career-high 18 points against West Virginia. The Arlington product has scored in double-digits in eight out of the last 22 contests. For the season, he has scored in double-figures in 1 of the 0 games. When Parrish scores 15 or more in a single-game, TCU is -. FIELDS NUMBERS Consider this, when Amric Fields played more than 20 minutes in a game this season, he averaged 1.8 points per game and 6.2 rebounds a contest. The junior also shot 44 percent from the field, including nearly 5 percent from behind the arc. HE S HEATING UP Prior to WVU at home, junior Kyan Anderson had started to catch fire, scoring three-straight games of 27, 25 and 21 points, respectively. The Horned Frogs won three ina-row last season to end the month of December. Since 2000, the Purple and White s longest winning streak is six games, which came during the campaign. TCU s longest winning streak in school history is 16 games, which happened during the season. CONTROLLING THE GLASS With his 16 rebound performance at Mississippi State, freshman Karviar Shepherd made some noise nationally as he posted the third-highest rebounding effort by a freshman this season in the NCAA during non-conference play. Only Rice s Sean Obi (19) and Missouri s Johnathan Williams III (17) had more rebounds in a single-game during non-con than Shepherd. The Dallas native s 16 boards were the top-rebounding effort by a Big 12 freshman since Baylor s Isaiah Austin grabbed 20 against Oklahoma last January. In all, it was the fourth-highest rebounding mark in the Big 12 by a freshman since the season. The sophomore set career-highs in points, field goals made and -point field goals made. In all, it was only his sixth double-figure game of his career and marked the first time he has led TCU in scoring. 20 POINT GAMES Under head coach Trent Johnson, the Frogs have had a player go for 20 or more points in 20 different outings, which has now happened 12 times this season. Kyan Anderson is joined by Amric Fields, Charles Hill Jr. and former Frog Garlon Green as the only TCU studentathletes to score 20 or more points under Johnson s watch. DEFENSIVE INTENSITY TCU went into the Great Alaska Shootout, having won two-straight contests over the likes of Abilene Christian and Washington State. During those two outings, the Frogs turned up their defensive pressure. WSU didn t score for over 10 minutes of action in the first half and couldn t handle the Frogs relentless pressure, going 0-for- 14 from the field. This continued an impressive trend as TCU didn t allow ACU to score for almost five minutes of action during the beginning stages of the second half. FOLLOWING FOOTSTEPS Freshman Karviar Shepherd has already totaled more points and rebounds in his first season than former Frog and NBA great Kurt Thomas did in 12 games during his first year in Fort Worth. Shepherd who has 197 rebounds on the season after only 29 games, has grabbed more rebounds than Thomas total number of rebounds during his first two years on campus (127). 70 POINT SUCCESS When TCU hits 70 or more points in a single-game, good things usually happen as the Frogs are now 7-1 this season when hitting the 70-point mark. The Purple and White are 10-1 under head coach Trent Johnson when doing so. The only loss in the 11 outings came earlier this season when the Frogs were upset by Longwood. WHAT S MISSING TCU has not been playing with a full deck this season. Of the 16 players listed on TCU s roster, now 10 players have had to sit out games for the Frogs this season. In all, Devonta Abron, Aaron Durley, Amric Fields, Karviar Shepherd, Charles Hill Jr., Kemal Dincer, Michael Williams and Hudson Price have all missed time this season. Both Abron and Durley are out for the year. If you add that TCU is without the services of transfers Trey Zeigler and Chris Washburn due to NCAA transfer rules, the Frogs haven t played any of their games this season with their full roster. The Purple and White are missing a total of 1,705 points and 860 rebounds from the four guys who won t play this season in Abron, Durley, Washburn and Zeigler.

6 THE DIFFERENCE In TCU s nine victories this season a trend has become noticeable in that the Frogs have held seven out of the nine opponents to below 9.9 percent from the field. TCU is now 14-4 under head coach Trent Johnson when doing so. Tulsa shot 40 percent, while Mississippi State totaled 42.9 percent from the floor. A QUARTET OF SCORING TCU had four players score in double-figures against Kansas with Brandon Parrish (15), Amric Fields (1), Kyan Anderson (12) and Christian Gore (11) tallying 51 of the Horned Frogs 69 points. TCU has now done that feat six times this season. Under Trent Johnson, TCU is 6-2 when having a quartet score in double-figures. HE S BACK Well it didn t take long for junior Amric Fields to make his return to the court a successful one. In his first action back in over a year, Fields led TCU to an exciting victory over Washington State at Beasley Coliseum. Fields put an exclamation point on his return with a game-saving block with two second left in the game. The junior, who hadn t played since last November, entered the contest at the 16:06 mark of the opening frame of play and the Frogs proceeded to go on a 14-0 run. During the run, Fields, who tied his previous career-high with seven boards, scored seven of TCU s 14 points. On the night, Fields scored a then season and team-high 16 points on 7-of-9 from the field, including 2-of- from behind the arc. GET TO THE HALF TCU moved to 7- on the season when leading at halftime after scoring a intermission lead over Texas at home. This continued an impressive trend under second-year head coach Trent Johnson. During his two years on campus, the Frogs are 15-4 when leading at the break. TCU s only losses during that stretch came last January after leading Baylor at the break, versus Texas Tech twice (24-2 / 28-27) and against Texas (22-20) at home. SHOOT THE ROCK TCU is now 20- under Trent Johnson and 9-2 this season when out-shooting its opponent. The Frogs have scored 70 or more points this season eight times, which already outdoes the total number of times the Purple and White scored over 70 in 2 games a year ago. RAY SHOWING SIGNS Senior Jarvis Ray, who currently ranks third on the team in scoring, has shot at or over 50 percent in 16 out of the 0 outings this year and is shooting 44.7 percent overall this season. (Oklahom City North HS) TCU head coach Trent Johnson announced the signing of Chauncey Collins during the early signing period. Collins, an Oklahoma City native who is home-schooled, will don the Purple and White next season after being named the first unanimous winner of the prestigious Maravich Award, which is symbolic of the nation s top homeschool basketball player, at the 2 annual National Christian Homeschool Basketball Tournament. Collins, who plays high school ball for Oklahoma City Storm High School, had multiple 40-point games for the Storm last season. He averaged 2.4 points per game, while totaling 1,125 points in leading the Storm to the national homeschool championship. TCU is a combined 5-0 in games that extend beyond two overtimes in its history. THE NBA In total, TCU has had 18 student-athletes go on to NBA careers after leaving Fort Worth, with the most notable being Kurt Thomas, who as of last season was the NBA s oldest active player. Head Coach Trent Johnson has had nine student-athletes go on to NBA careers between his stops at LSU, Stanford and Nevada. The squad also had one loss come in overtime to No. 21 San Diego State in the 2012 regularseason finale. HELP IS ON THE WAY TCU s Chris Washburn and Trey Zeigler transferred to TCU following the season. Washburn and Zeigler will sit out the upcoming season due to NCAA transfer rules. Washburn appeared in all 2 games for UTEP in with four starts. He was third on the team in blocked shots, fourth in steals and fifth in rebounding. Zeigler has totaled nearly 1,150 career points and 450 rebounds in his three college seasons at Pitt and Central Michigan. Zeigler played last season for Pitt, appearing in 1 games. A HEAD START TCU got a head start on the season this summer as the program embarked on a Canadian Summer Tour in August, which featured four games in four days against some of the top Canadian programs. The Purple and White went 2-2 overall during the four-game swing. It wasn t without its setbacks though as junior forward Devonta Abron, who was fourth in scoring and second in rebounding a year ago, and redshirt freshman Aaron Durley both suffered season-ending injuries and will not be able to play this upcoming season. HE HAS SEEN IT ALL TCU Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Medicine Chris Hall is in his 0th season working with the TCU men s basketball program. Hall has worked a total of 982 games as the head trainer for men s basketball. In his 0 plus years, the TCU graduate has only missed a total of eight games court side, four of which came during the road trip to Washington State and Alaska-Anchorage. THE FAB FOUR REVISITED TCU s 201 newcomers, who were rated as the nation s No. 4 class by ESPN.com, the highest ranking for the program on record, features the likes of Karviar Shepherd, a Dallas native, who was one of the nation s top recruits for 201. Shepherd, who was a four star recruit and rated as the No. center in the nation by Rivals.com, is joined by fellow freshmen Michael Williams, Brandon Parrish and Hudson Price. The interior will have a lower playing surface to increase courtside seating and provide a more intimate atmosphere.

Having the opportunity to renovate Daniel-Meyer Coliseum helps TCU achieve its ongoing goal of optimizing its physical campus, TCU chancellor Victor J. Boschini Jr. said.
