2 a) Presentation from Jonathon Condratto, Economic Development Officer. Mr. Condratto was unable to attend the meeting to do his presentation. The Committee discussed the grant options that are available. 4.0 ANNOUNCEMENTS AND INQUIRIES a) Councillor Belanger Richard Lafleur of Club Alidor asked on the behalf of the school to consider involving the school for planting. Caisse Populaire is on board with the community for helping with the Beautification Advisory Committee. b) Hank Allen Advised that the Food Market is bringing in planting supplies, like mulch, soil and manure, for our planting needs. c) Councillor Lemieux Has advised that the school is doing a vegetable garden to promote gardening in a school setting. d) Larry Lafleur The company that we ordered our self-watering containers from also do garden boxes. 5.0 COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS/REPORTS 6.0 Report From Chair a) Report from Ellen, Chair of the Beautification Advisory Committee.2 grants was submitted totalling $2,000..Ellen and Councillor Lemieux met with the Parish Committee, more of an update will be done on 9.2.Mr. Gerry Dignard needs paperwork for the Cenotaph Plan, then it will be forwarded to the Parish Committee for discussion..mr. Dignard would like 2 self watering containers..councillor Lemieux gave a letter about the Cenotaph to Marc Serré, MP to bring to the Minister in Ottawa. Page 2 of 5

3 7.0 Old Business a) Ordering planters & garbage bin for cemetery. The Committee discussed the ordering of planters and garbage cans. The Committee will order: 2 planters for the cemetery. 2 planters for Mr. Gerry Dignard. 1 planter for Mr. Lafortune. Total of 5 planters and 1 garbage can which will also be at the cemetery. Hank Allen would like to know if we will be ordering planters for the boulevard at the Post Office? Ellen has suggested to put it on our strategic plan for 2017, everyone has agreed. Motion: to order the planters and garbage can Moved by: Hank Allen Seconded by: Councillor Lemieux b) Dates for clean-up day & planting. The Committee discussed dates for the following items: 1 day of clean-up and to put planters out. 1 day of planting. Lise Branconnier will approach the school for the clean-up around the village, best date would be the 13th of May, and the 14th of May would be the member cleanup if needed. Joanne will co-ordinate with co-ordinate with Parks and Rec to put out the planters. The Committee will talk with Roy to use the tanker to water all the planters. On Monday June 6th a proposed planting in the planters and a BBQ. Joanne to submit the list of school volunteers that still need their hours for high school. 8.0 Finance Page 3 of 5

4 a) 2016 Budget The 2006 Budget was discussed with all members. b) Maintenance contractor update. There isn't any update on the Maintenance contractor, once there is updates the Committee will be notified. c) Quennville Park update There were 4 submissions for quotes from Lise Branconnier for the new sign at the park on Notre Dame Street: Dr. Signs $ HST One Hr. Signs $ HST + $75.00(one time set up fee) Sign Shop $ HST Sturgeon Sign $ HST Motion: We award the contract to 1Hr Signs, subject to final proof for $ HST + the one time set up fee of $75.00, and that The final design proof will be approved by: Lise Branconnier, Ellen Primeau & Richard Lemieux. Moved by: Hank Allen Seconded by: Joanne Barbe 9.0 New Business a) New members There was an interest for a new member and she decided not to join. b) Cenotaph update Larry Lafleur suggested to work on getting a property this year. William Lemieux is now the president of the Parish Committee, when we have the paper work for the Cenotaph it will have to be submitted to William. Richard Lemieux will talk to the CBO Page 4 of 5
