Coppes' six-goal total set both BG and Mid-American Conference records... in fact, Coppes fell just one goal shy of matching the NCAA Division I record of seven... junior Britt Anderson tied the school record for assists in a match, with three... Anderson equalled her assist total for all of last season... freshman Tiernay Tilford had an auspicious collegiate debut, picking up a pair of assists on Coppes goals, and playing a total of 58 minutes in the win... in addition to Tilford, junior Molly Bremen garnered the first collegiate point of her Falcon career, with the primary assist on Coppes' sixth goal... Samantha Martinez, a redshirt freshman, made her collegiate debut in the match, getting the win... all 22 Falcons that suited up for the match saw playing time, including all six freshmen. A pair of first-half goals were enough to propel Pittsburgh past the Falcons in the final contest of the Falcon Classic... the result left both the Falcons and Panthers with tourney records of Eastern Michigan captured the Falcon Classic with a mark, while Duquesne went the Panthers got a pair of pretty goals, one with approximately seven minutes elapsed in the first half and one with about seven minutes left in the period... BGSU's Kristy Coppes, Britt Anderson and Tiernay Tilford all were named to the Falcon Classic All-Tournament Team... the Falcons had nine corner kicks to Pittsburgh's zero.

The Falcons and Marshall battled to a 1-1, double-overtime draw at Cochrane Field, giving BG its first point of the season in MAC play... senior Kristy Coppes scored BG's goal late in the first half, with junior Julie Trundle and freshman Gina Rossi picking up the assists... Kassie Hollman equalized for the Thundering Herd with just under 25 minutes remaining in regulation... of BG's nine goals on the season, Coppes has seven... her goal vs. MU broke a BGSU scoreless streak of 219:36... junior Leah Eggleton was in the starting lineup for the first time on the season... Ali Shingler made a BGSU season-high eight saves, and tied her career best for a single match. The Falcons got first-half goals from juniors Molly Bremen and Samantha Meister, but it was not enough as host Eastern Michigan picked up a 3-2 victory... all five goals came in the first 27:14 of the match... after Bremen's goal just over three minutes in, the Eagles responded with three goals in a span of just over 10 minutes... the three goals came on Eastern's first three shots of the match... freshman Tiernay Tilford and junior Leah Eggleton each assisted on both BG goals... the match marked the first time the Falcons had scored more than one goal in a contest in nearly a month... it also snapped a five-match BGSU unbeaten streak at Scicluna Field... that streak included three MAC Tournament quarterfinal-round wins... Bremen's goal was the first of her career... Eggleton's two-assist match was the first of her career... Tilford registered her second multi-assist contest of the season... Jenifer Kernahan had over 45 minutes of scoreless relief goalkeeping before leaving the match due to injury midway through the second half.

KSU scored the next two goals, however, before junior Britt Anderson pounced on a rebound and scored with 6:43 left in the second half... but, Kimberly Dimitroff's second goal of the day clinched the win for the hosts... BG held advantages in both shots attempted and shots on goal... Coppes owns three of the four 12-goal seasons in school history... she also picked up her first assist of the season on Anderson's goal... Senior Kristy Coppes scored in the fifth minute, and redshirt junior Ali Shingler made eight saves to lift the Falcons to a 1-0 victory over host Buffalo at a blustery RAC Field... the Falcons, needing to pick up points every time out, earned three important points in the battle for a MAC Tournament spot... Coppes added to her lengthy lists of BGSU records... the goal was her 13th of the year, giving her sole possession of that school single-season mark... Coppes' goal was the 47th of her career, and gave her an even 100 points in her BG tenure, extending her school marks in each category... Coppes became only the seventh player in MAC history to reach the century mark in points... junior Leah Eggleton assisted on the Coppes goal, her team-leading seventh helper of the year... Shingler's shutout was her third of the season and the seventh of her career... her total of eight saves tied her career best.

Trailing by a pair of goals with less than 14 minutes remaining in regulation, the Falcons battled back to post a 2-2 tie against Western Michigan on 'Senior Day' at Cochrane Field... juniors Julie Trundle and Britt Anderson scored for the Brown and Orange, with Anderson's goal coming with only 3:02 left in regulation... BG outshot Western, 22-13, including 7-1 in the overtime periods... the Falcons also had 12 corner kicks to the Broncos' zero on the day... the visitors scored on the first shot of the match, with just 4:18 elapsed... WMU made it a two-goal lead with 30:52 left in the second half... Anderson and junior Ashley Wentzel assisted on Trundle's goal with 13:23 left... then, late in the half, WMU goalie Kate Perz was issued a red card, and BG was awarded a free kick just outside the 18-yard box... on that free kick, Anderson blasted the ball into the net for the equalizer... BG had fewer corner kicks than the opposition for only the second time in 20 matches on the year... despite the loss, the Falcons concluded the winningest month in school history... after going the entire month of September without a win, the Falcons were in October.
