8 OLD AND INJURED CATTLE BROUGHT TO YARDS While it is the producers' and truckers' responsibility to ensure cattle of very poor quality are not brought to auction, BC Livestock has a responsibility as well to make certain only cattle fit for sale are brought into the ring. Cattle that are visibly: *very sick *lame *malnourished *very old and barely able to walk *noticeably recently injured (open sores, broken leg, missing eye etc) BC Livestock is to immediately refuse accepting the animal and advise the producer to take the animal back home. NOTICE In cases where immediate transportation back to the ranch is not possible, (truck not available, cattle unfit for transport once offloaded, dies before it can be returned, CCIA order to destroy the animal etc..) ***BC Livestock insurance will not apply and no payment to the producer will be made on cattle that are/were unfit for transportation or sale *** ***Hartford Insurance will not apply and no payment to the producer will be made on cattle that are/were unfit for transportation or sale*** ***If an unfit animal dies or is destroyed while in BC Livestock yards, the producer will be responsible for dead removal charges, approximately $250 per dead animal.*** GET YOUR OLS TUBS AT BC LIVESTOCK TODAY!
