Over 600 contestants from all over China gathered here on Mother s Day, a day with special meaning, to get inspired to run and climb up for love! Sprinting to the top of a famous landmark Shanghai Wheelock Square, a landmark in Shanghai Puxi, has been hosting its fifth annual International Towerrunning Grand Prix since With its prime location in Shanghai, international brand concept, extraordinary theme planning, and concrete experience in running sports event, Wheelock Square is capable of providing all-round support and security in every Towerrunning Grand Prix. Each race is not simply an athletic event, but a platform to share positive energy with others! This year s race was properly arranged and every detail was addressed to ensure safety and good services. The event successfully received unanimous compliments from the participants, and passed on the theme of love. After an intense contest, Mr. Ou Jiajing won the men s individual race with 7 minutes and 3 seconds; while Ms. Zhang Huiji won the women s individual race with a record-breaking of 8 minutes and 43 seconds. Gonghe Xinlu Sub-district and 129 Training Camp came first in the group race with 5 minutes and 34 seconds. 3

6 Express love on track Stemming from this year s International Towerrunning Grand Prix s theme of love at the top of the city, couple race was organized in this station. 20 couples climbed every step hand-in-hand. Some of them were newly-met young lovers, while some had married and lived together for years in this city where it is big enough to pursue their dreams and love while let them find each other and work hard for a common dream. Many couples expressed the race allowed them to see each other in a different perspective. The mutual support and experience of striving together in an extreme challenge brought them unique experience. The race serves as a precious memory for couples to reminisce. She participated in other stations of the 2018 International Towerrunning Grand Prix. She wanted to share her achievements with her child and encourage her child to exercise more as well as participate in other meaningful competitions like this.
