1 CA09/2017 Press Release Ngong Ping 360 presents the first-ever Blindfold Cable Car Experience in Hong Kong with all proceeds from the event s ticket sales going to Orbis Participants to enjoy double enjoyment with one package price while supporting a good cause (Hong Kong, 4 July 2017) As a major tourist attraction in Hong Kong, Ngong Ping 360 not only provides local and international guests with an all-round sensory travel experience, but is also dedicated to corporate social responsibility. On 23 September 2017, the Company will present Hong Kong s first-ever cable car fundraising event, the 360 Sharing Ambassador Blindfold Cable Car Experience, which will also be the grand finale of its 10 th anniversary celebration series, to bring participants an unforgettable journey - The world s 10 best cable cars and natural landscape of Lantau with all senses except sight. All proceeds generated from the event s ticket sales will be donated to Orbis in support of its sight-saving work. With this event, Nong Ping 360 will leverage the collective efforts of the Tung Chung community, stakeholders, corporations, the general public and staff. Corporations have committed cash sponsorships to support the sight-saving work of Orbis, and around 60 students from 5 Lantau secondary schools, together with volunteers from 360 Sharing Ambassador, will be audio tour guides to bring the beautiful scenery of Lantau to life for the blindfolded participants. The event organiser and participants will select the Best Audio Tour Guide from among the students, with the winner to be awarded an overseas sight-saving trip to gain firsthand experience of Orbis meaningful work. An Eye Care Carnival will also be held at Ngong Ping Village on the day, with participants to taste eye care delicacies sponsored and prepared by the Hong Kong Chefs Association. They will also be able to visit game booths, play VR games and join eye care/parental talks. The event will be held from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on 23 September (Saturday). Adult Tickets at HK$225 (round-trip cable car ticket for one adult including one blindfolded journey with an audio guide) and Kid Tickets at $135 (round-trip cable car ticket for one child, including one blindfolded journey with an audio guide) with a gift bag are also available (please refer to Price List for details). On the day, all children joining the Cable Car Design Workshop will create their own cable car designs under the professional guidance of drawing tutors. All works will be assembled into a giant installation and a certificate will be given to all child participants.
