1 تفسير اإلمام العسكري )عليه السالم( TAFSEER OF IMAM AL ASKARI asws ب س م ه للا ال هرح من ال هرح يم In the Name of Allah azwj the Beneficent, the Merciful السورة التي يذكر فيها البقرة The Chapter in which the cow is mentioned م ام ع: ق ال ر س ول ه للا ص: إ هن ه ذ ا ال ق ر آن م أ د ب ة ه للا ت ع ال ى ف ت ع لهم وا م ن م أ د ب ة ه للا ع هز و ج هل م ا اس ت ط ع ت م ف إ هنه 31 ق ال ا ل الن ور ال م ب ين و الش ف اء ال هناف ع ]ف ] ت ع لهم وه ف إ هن ه للا ت ع ال ى ي ش ر ف ك م ب ت ع ل م ه. S 31 The Imam (Hassan Al-Askari asws ) said: Rasool-Allah saww said: This Quran is an Education of Allah azwj the Exalted, therefore learn from the Education of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic whatever you can, for it is a manifest Light, and a beneficial healing, so learn it, for Allah azwj the Exalted would Ennoble you for learning it. Merits of Surah Al-Baqarah ]فضل سورة البقرة[ ت ع لهم وا س ور ة ال ب ق ر ة و آل ع م ر ان ف إ هن أ خ ذ ه م ا ب ر ك ة و ت ر ك ه م ا ح س ر ة و ل ي س ت ط يع ه م ا ال ب ط ل ة- ي ع ن ي ال هسح ر ة - 'Learn Surah Al-Baqarah (Ch 2) (Surah) and Aal-e-Imran (Ch 3) for taking to these two is a Blessing, and neglecting them is regret, and the falsehood has no ability upon them meaning the magic. و إ هنه م ا ل ي ج يئ ان ي و م ال ق ي ام ة ك أ هنه م ا غ م ام ت ان أ و ع ق اب ت ان أ و ف ر ق ا ن م ن ط ي ر ص و ا هف ي ح ا هجان ع ن ص اح ب ه م ا و ي ح اج ه م ا ر ب ال ع ال م ين ر ب ال ع هزة ي ق و ل ن : ي ا ر هب ا ل ر ب اب إ هن ع ب د ك ه ذ ا ق ر أ ن ا و أ ظ م أ ن ا ن ه ار ه و أ س ه ر ن ا ل ي ل ه و أ ن ص ب ن ا ب د ن ه. Both of them would come on the Day of Judgement like two clouds or two cloaks or two separate birds in a row and plead on behalf of their readers to the Lord azwj of the worlds, the Almighty Lord azwj, and will both say: 'O Lord azwj of the lords! This servant of Yours azwj has recited us, and was thirsty with us during this day and held vigil with us during his night, and established us in his body.' ي ق ول ه للا ت ع ال ى: ي ا أ ي ه ا ال ق ر آن ف ك ي ف ك ان ت س ل يم ه ل م ا أ ن ز ل ت ه ف يك - م ن ت ف ض يل ع ل ي ب ن أ ب ي ط ال ب أ خ ي م ح همد ر س ول ه للا ي ق و ل ن : ي ا ر هب ا ل ر ب اب و إ ل ه ا ل ل ه ة و ا له و و ال ى أ و ل ي اء ه و ع اد ى أ ع د اء ه إ ذ ا ق د ر ج ه ر و إ ذ ا ع ج ز ا هتق ى و أ س هر. 1 out of 54

2 Allah azwj will Say: O You Quran! So how was their submission to what I azwj had Revealed in you from the merits of Ali asws Ibn Abi Talib asws, the brother of Muhammad Rasool-Allah saww? They will both reply: 'O Lord azwj of the lords! They befriended him asws and his asws friends, and became inimical to his asws enemies. When they were able they made it known and when they could not, they observed dissimulation and kept it a secret. ي ق ول ه للا ع هز و ج هل: ف ق د ع م ل إ ذا ب ك م ا ك م ا أ م ر ت ه و ع هظم م ن ح ق ك م ا م ا ع هظم ت ه. ي ا ع ل ي أ م ا ت س م ع ش ه اد ة ال ق ر آن ل و ل ي ك ه ذ ا ]ف ] ي ق ول ع ل ي : ب ل ى ي ا ر ب. Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic will Say: Then they have dealt with you two just as I azwj had Commanded it, and have considered great that which made you two great. O Ali asws! Did you hear this testimony of the Quran for your friends?' Ali asws will respond: 'Yes O Lord!' ف ي ق ول ه للا ع هز و ج هل: ف اق ت ر ح ل ه م ا ت ر يد. ف ي ق ت ر ح ل ه م ا ي ز يد ع ل ى أ م ان ي ه ذ ا ال ق ار ئ م ن ا ل ض ع اف ال م ض اع ف ات ب م ا ل ي ع ل م ه ه ل ه للا ع هز و ج هل. ف ي ق ول ه للا ع هز و ج هل:»ق د أ ع ط ي ت ه م ا اق ت ر ح ت ي ا ع ل ي «. إ Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic will Say: 'Then suggest whatever you asws want for him.' He asws will then suggest for him such things that would exceed all the reader s aspirations and desires, and their number will be unknown to all except Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic. Allah azwj will Say: I azwj have Given him what you asws suggested 'O Ali asws!. ق ال ر س ول ه للا ص: و إ هن و ال د ي ال ق ار ئ ل ي ت هوج ان ب ت اج ال ك ر ام ة ي ض يء ن ور ه م ن م س ير ة ع ش ر ة آ ل ف س ن ة و ي ك س ي ان ح له ة ل ي ق وم ل ق ل س ل ك م ن ه ا- م ائ ة أ ل ف ض ع ف م ا ف ي الد ن ي ا ب م ا ي ش ت م ل ع ل ي ه م ن خ ي ر ات ه ا. Rasool-Allah saww said: 'And the parents of the reciter (of the Quran) will have a crown of prestige on their heads, the radiance of which will stretch to a travel distance of ten thousand years journey, and they will be clothed in such, fabrics the least of which would be better than a hundred thousand times of what is in the world, due to what would be included upon it from its goodness. ث هم ي ع ط ى ه ذ ا ال ق ار ئ ال م ل ك ب ي م ين ه ف ي ك ت اب و ال خ ل د ب ش م ال ه ف ي ك ت اب ي ق ر أ م ن ك ت اب ه ب ي م ين ه : ق د ج ع ل ت م ن أ ف اض ل م ل و ك ال ج ن ان و م ن ر ف ق اء ]م ح همد [ س ي د ا ل ن ب ي اء و ]ع ل ي [ خ ي ر ا ل و ص ي اء و ا ل ئ همة م ن ب ع د ه م ا س اد ة ا ل ت ق ي اء. Then the reciter will get a written deed to a kingdom in his right hand and be given the (Permission for) eternal life in his left hand. He would read from his deed (given in) his right hand, 'We have given you a great kingdom in the Gardens and made you among the friends of Muhammad saww the leader of the Prophets as, and Ali asws the best of the successors as and the Imams asws after him asws, the pious Chiefs. و ي ق ر أ م ن ك ت اب ه ب ش م ال ه : ق د أ م ن ت ال هزو ال و ا ل ن ت ق ال ع ن ه ذ ا ال م ل ك و أ ع ذ ت م ن ال م و ت و ا ل س ق ا م- و ك ف يت ا ل م ر اض و ا ل ع ل ل و ج ن ب ت ح س د ال ح اس د ين و ك ي د ال ك ائ د ين. And he would read from his deed in his left hand, You are secured from the decline and the transference from this kingdom, and are sheltered from the death, and the illnesses and sufficed from the diseases and the pains, and would be kept aside from the envy of the envying ones, and plots of the plotters. 2 out of 54

3 ث هم ي ق ال ل ه : اق ر أ ]و ] ار ق و م ن ز ل ك ع ن د آخ ر آي ة ت ق ر ؤ ه ا. ف إ ذ ا ن ظ ر و ال داه إ ل ى ح ل ي ت ي ه م ا و ت اج ي ه م ا- ق ا ل: ر هبن ا أ هنى ل ن ا ه ذ ا ه للا [ ع هز و ج هل: ه ذ ا ل ك م ا ل ت ع ل يم ك م ا( و ل د ك م ا ال ق ر آ ن. ال هشر ف و ل م ت ب ل غ ه أ ع م ال ن ا )ف ق ال ل ه م ا ك ر ام م ل ئ ك ة ه للا ]ع ن Then it would be said to him: Recite and ascend, for your destination lies at the last Verse you would be reciting.' Then the parents will look at their clothes and crowns and they would ask: 'Our Lord azwj! For us is this nobility, and although our deeds did not reach it? The honourable Angels of Allah azwj will say to them on behalf of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic: 'This is because both of you taught your children to read the Quran. قوله عز و جل الم ذل ك ال ك تاب ال ر ي ب ف يه ه دى ل ل م ت ق ي ن The Words of the Mighty and Majestic Alif Lam Meem [2:1] That is the Book. There is no doubt in it (and it) is Guidance for the pious [2:2] م ام ع : ك هذب ت ق ر ي ش و ال ي ه ود ب ال ق ر آن و ق ال وا: س ح ر م ب ي ن ت ق هول ه ف ق ال ه للا ع هز و ج ل:»الم ذل ك ال ك تاب ل ر ي ب 32 ق ال ا ل ف يه - ه دى ل ل م هتق ين» أ ي ي ا م ح همد ه ذ ا ال ك ت اب الهذ ي أ ن ز ل ت ه ع ل ي ك - ه و ]ب[ ال ح ر وف ال م ق هطع ة الهت ي م ن ه ا: أ ل ف ل م م يم و ه و ب ل غ ت ك م و ح ر وف ه ج ائ ك م»ف أ ت وا ب م ث ل ه إ ن ك ن ت م ص اد ق ين» و اس ت ع ين وا ع ل ى ذ ل ك ب س ائ ر ش ه د ائ ك م. S 32 The Imam (Hassan Al-Askari asws ) said: The Quraysh and the Jews belied the Quran and they said, It is clear magic you saww are saying it. So Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Said: Alif Lam Meem [2:1] That is the Book. There is no doubt in it (and it) is Guidance for the pious [2:2] i.e., O Muhammad saww! This Book which is Revealed unto you saww, it is of the abbreviated letters, from which are: - Alif, Lam, Meem, and it is in your language and letters of your Alphabet, so come with the like of it if you are truthful, and seek assistance upon that with the rest of your witnesses. ث هم ب هين أ هنه م ل ي ق د ر ون ع ل ي ه ب ق و ل ه :»ق ل ل ئ ن اج ت م ع ت ا ل كان ب ع ض ه م ل ب ع ض ظ ه يرا «ن س و ال ج ن - ع لى أ ن ي أ ت وا ب م ث ل هذ ا ال ق ر آن ل ي أ ت ون ب م ث ل ه و ل و Then He azwj Clarified that they would not be able upon it, by His azwj Words Say: If the humans and jinn should combine together to bring the like of this Quran, they would not (be able to) bring the like of it, even though they were aiders of each other [17:88] ث هم ق ال ه للا ع هز و ج ل :»الم«ه و ال ق ر آن الهذ ي اف ت ت ح ب»الم«ه و»ذل ك ال ك تاب «الهذ ي أ خ ب ر ت ب ه م وس ى و ]م ن ] ب ع د ه م ن ا ل ن ب ي اء ف أ خ ب ر وا ب ن ي إ س ر ائ يل أ ن ي س أ ن ز ل ه ع ل ي ك ي ا م ح همد ك ت ابا ]ع ر ب ي ا [ ع ز يزا ل ي أ ت يه ال باط ل م ن ب ي ن ي د يه و ل م ن خ ل ف ه ت ن ز يل م ن ح ك يم ح م يد Then the Exalted Said: Alif Lam Meem [2:1] He asws (Ali asws ) is the Quran which begins with Alif Lam Meem [2:1] He asws (Ali asws ) is that Book which Musa as was informed with, and the ones after him as from the Prophets as, and they as informed the Children of Israel that I azwj would be Revealing unto you saww O Muhammad saww an Arabic Book Falsehood has not come to it from before it nor (would it come) from after it; (it is) a Revelation from the Wise, the Praised One [41:42].» ل ر ي ب ف يه «ل ش هك ف يه ل ظ ه ور ه ع ن د ه م ك م ا أ خ ب ر ه م أ ن ب ي اؤ ه م أ هن م ح همدا ي ن ز ل ع ل ي ه ك ت اب - ل ي م ح وه ال ب اط ل ي ق ر ؤ ه ه و و أ همت ه ع ل ى س ائ ر أ ح و ال ه م. 3 out of 54

4 There is no doubt therein [2:2] There is no doubt in it that it would be appearing in your presence just as their Prophets as had informed them: Muhammad saww, such a Book would be Revealed unto him saww that the falsehood would not (be able to) obliterate it. He saww and his saww community would be reciting it upon all their situations.»ه دى «ب ي ان م ن ال هض ل ل ة»ل ل م هتق ين «الهذ ين ي هتق ون ال م وب ق ات و ي هتق ون ت س ل يط ال هسف ه ع ل ى أ ن ف س ه م- ح هتى إ ذ ا ع ل م وا م ا ي ج ب ع ل ي ه م ع م ل ه ع م ل وا ب م ا ي وج ب ل ه م ر ض اء ر ب ه م. A Guidance and explanation from the straying for the pious who are fearing the grave sins, and are fearing the domination of the foolishness upon themselves until when they learn what is Obligatory upon them to learn, learning what would Obligated the Pleasure of their Lord azwj for them. 33 ]ث م [ ق ال : و ق ال ال هصاد ق ع ث هم ا ل ل ف ح ر ف م ن ح ر وف ق و ل ك «ه للا «د هل ب ا ل ل ف ع ل ى ق و ل ك : ه للا. و د هل ب ال ه لم ع ل ى ق و ل ك : ال م ل ك ال ع ظ يم ال ق اه ر ل ل خ ل ق أ ج م ع ين و د هل ب ال م يم ع ل ى أ هنه ال م ج يد ]ال ك ر ي م[ ال م ح م ود ف ي ك ل أ ف ع ال ه. S 33 - Then he asws said: And Al-Sadiq asws said: The Alif is a letter from the letters of the Words of Allah azwj. It is indicated by the Alif upon your speech, Allah azwj ; and it is indicated by the Laam upon your speech, The Magnificent King, the Compeller to the creatures altogether ; and it is indicated by the Meem upon that He azwj the Glorious, the Praised One in every Deed of His azwj. و ج ع ل ه ذ ا ال ق و ل ح هجة ع ل ى ال ي ه ود. و ذ ل ك أ هن ه للا ت ع ال ى ل هما ب ع ث م وس ى ب ن ع م ر ان ع. ث هم م ن ب ع د ه م ن ا ل ن ب ي اء إ ل ى ب ن ي ه ل أ خ ذ وا ع ل ي ه م ال ع ه ود و ال م و اث يق ل ي ؤ م ن هن ب م ح همد ال ع ر بي ا ل م ي ال م ب ع وث ب م هكة الهذ ي ي ه اج ر إ س ر ائ يل ل م ي ك ن ف يه م ]أ ح د [ إ ]م ن ه ا[ إ ل ى ال م د ين ة ي أ ت ي ب ك ت اب ب ال ح ر وف ال م ق هطع ة اف ت ت اح ب ع ض س و ر ه ي ح ف ظ ه ]ب ع ض [ أ همت ه ف ي ق ر ء ون ه ق ي اما و ق ع ودا و م ش اة و ع ل ى ك ل ح ال ي س ه ل ه للا ع هز و ج هل ح ف ظ ه ع ل ي ه م. And this Word (Alif Lam Meem [2:1]) is Made to be a proof upon the Jews, and that is because Allah azwj, when He azwj Sent Musa as Bin Imran as, then the Prophets as from after him as to the Children of Israel, there did not happen to be any people among them except that they as took the pact and the covenant upon them, that they would be believing in Muhammad saww, the Arab, and the one (to be) Sent at Makkah, who would be emigrating to Al-Medina, would be Given the Book with the abbreviated letters to beginning some of its Chapters. His saww community would preserve it and they would be reciting it standing, and sitting, and walking, and upon every state. Allah azwj would Ease its memorisation upon them. و ي ق ر ن ون ب م ح همد أ خ اه و و ص هيه ع ل هي ب ن أ ب ي ط ال ب ع ا ل خ ذ ع ن ه ع ل وم ه الهت ي ع لهم ه ا و ال م ت ق ل د ع ن ه ا ل م ان ة الهت ي ق لهد ه ا و م ذ ل ل ك ل م ن ع ان د م ح همدا ب س ي ف ه ال ب ات ر و م فح م ك ل م ن ج اد ل ه و خ اص م ه ب د ل يل ه ال ق اه ر ي ق ات ل ع ب اد ه للا ع ل ى ت ن ز يل ك ت اب ه للا ح هتى ي ق ود ه م إ ل ى ق ب ول ه ط ائ ع ين و ك ار ه ين. And He azwj Paired Muhammad saww with his saww brother, his saww successor Ali asws Bin Abu Talib asws, the taker of his saww knowledge from him saww which he saww had learnt it, and the one collared from him saww with the Imamate which he saww collared him asws with, and he asws humiliated everyone who was inimical to Muhammad saww by his asws sharply cutting sword. And made to understand everyone who argued with him asws debated with him asws with the evidence of the Compeller. He saww fought the enemies of Allah azwj upon the Revelation of the Book of Allah azwj until he saww seated them to its acceptance, willing and unwillingly. 4 out of 54

5 يم ان و ح هرف وا ت أ و ي ل ت ه و غ هير وا ه للا ت ع ال ى و ار ت هد ك ث ير م همن ك ان أ ع ط اه ظ اه ر ا ل ث م إ ذ ا ص ار م ح همد إ ل ى ر ض و ان م ع ان ي ه و و ض ع وه ا ع ل ى خ ل ف و ج وه ه ا ق ات ل ه م ب ع د ]ذ ل ك[ ع ل ى ت أ و يل ه- ح هتى ي ك ون إ ب ل يس ال غ او ي ل ه م ه و ال خ اس ئ ال هذل ي ل ال م ط ر ود ]ال م ل ع ون [ ال م غ ل وب. Then, when Muhammad saww went to the Pleasure of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic, and most of the ones who had obeyed him saww manifesting the Eman reneged, and altered its explanation, and changed its meanings, and placed it upon its different perspectives, he asws fought against them after him saww, upon its explanation, until Iblees la was the seducer for them, and he la is the loser, the disgraced, the rejected, the overcome. ق ال : ف ل هما ب ع ث ه للا م ح همدا ص و أ ظ ه ر ه ب م هكة و س هير ه م ن ه ا إ ل ى ال م د ين ة و أ ظ ه ر ه ب ه ا- أ ن ز ل ع ل ي ه ال ك ت اب و ج ع ل اف ت ت ا ح س ور ت ه ال ك ب ر ى ب»الم«ي ع ن ي»الم ذل ك ال ك تاب «و ه و ذ ل ك ال ك ت اب الهذ ي أ خ ب ر ت ]ب ه [ أ ن ب ي ائ ي ال هسال ف ي ن- أ ن ي س أ ن ز ل ه ع ل ي ك ي ا م ح همد» ل ر ي ب ف يه «. He asws said: So when Allah azwj Sent Muhammad saww, and he saww appeared at Makkah, then he saww travelled from it to Al-Medina and appeared at it, then He azwj Sent the Book unto him saww and Made the beginning of its big Chapter with [2:1] Alif Lam Meem meaning Alif Lam Meem [2:1] that is the Book [2:2] Which I azwj Informed My azwj Prophets as, the ancient ones, that I azwj would be Revealing unto you saww, O Muhammad saww, there is no doubt therein [2:3]. ف ق د ظ ه ر م ا أ خ ب ر ه م ب ه أ ن ب ي اؤ ه م أ هن م ح همدا ي ن ز ل ع ل ي ه ك ت اب م ب ار ك- ل ي م ح وه ال ب اط ل ي ق ر ؤ ه ه و و أ همت ه ع ل ى س ائ ر أ ح و ال ه م. So, it has become apparent just as I azwj had Informed their Prophets as with it that Muhammad saww, the Blessed Book would be Revealed unto him saww. The falsehood would not obliterate it. He saww and his saww community would be reciting it upon all of their states. ث هم ال ي ه ود ي ح ر ف ون ه ع ن ج ه ت ه و ي ت أ هول ون ه أ ج ل ه ذ ه ا ل همة و ك م م هدة م ل ك ه م. م ]م ا[ ق د ط و اه ه للا ع ن ه م- م ن ]ح ال [ ع ل ى غ ي ر و ج ه ه و ي ت ع اط و ن ال هتو ص ل إ ل ى ع ل Then the Jews altered it and were explaining it upon a different aspect, and were abusing the arrival to the knowledge what Allah azwj had hidden from them, from the state of the term of this community and how much would be the term of their kingdom. ف ج اء إ ل ى ر س ول ه للا ص م ن ه م ج م اع ة ف و لهى ر س ول ه للا ص ع ل ي ا ع م خ اط ب ت ه م ف ق ال ق ائ ل ه م : إ ن ك ان م ا ي ق ول م ح همد ح ق ا ف ق د ع ل م ن ا ك م ق د ر م ل ك أ همت ه ه و إ ح د ى و س ب ع ون س ن ة : ا ل ل ف و اح د و ال ه لم ث ل ث ون و ال م يم أ ر ب ع ون. So a group of them came to Rasool-Allah saww, and Rasool-Allah saww made Ali asws in charge of addressing them. So their speaker said, If it was so that what Muhammad saww is saying was true, so he saww had taught you all a measurement of the kingdom of his saww community that it would be of seventy one years the Alif being one, and the Laam being thirty, and the Meem being forty. ف ق ال ع ل ي ص: ف م ا ت ص ن ع ون ب»المص«و ق د أ ن ز ل ت ع ل ي ه ق ال وا: ه ذ ه إ ح د ى و س ت ون و م ائ ة س ن ة. 5 out of 54

6 ه Tafseer of Imam Al Askari asws Ali asws said: And what would you be doing with Alif Lam Meem Suad [7:1], and it has already been Revealed unto him saww? They said, This is one hundred and sixty one years. ف ق ال ]ع ل ي ع[: ف م ا ت ص ن ع ون ب»الر«و ق د أ ن ز ل ت ع ل ي ه. ]ف ] ق ال وا: ه ذ ه أ ك ث ر ه ذ ه م ائ ت ان و إ ح د ى و ث ل ث ون س ن ة. He asws said: So what would you be doing with Alif Lam Ra [10:1], and it has already been Revealed unto him saww? They said, This is more. This is two hundred and thirty one years. ]ف ] ق ال ع ل ي ع: ف م ا ذ ا ت ص ن ع ون ب»المر«و ق د أ ن ز ل ت ع ل ي ق ال وا: ه ذ ه أ ك ث ر ه ذ ه م ائ ت ان و إ ح د ى و س ب ع ون س ن ة. So Ali asws said: So what would you be doing with the one saww upon whom Alif Lam Mim Ra [13:1] is Revealed? They said, This is two hundred and seventy one years. ف ق ال ع ل ي ع: ف و اح د ة م ن ه ذ ه ل ه أ و ج م يع ه ا ل ه ف اخ ت ل ط ك ل م ه م ف ب ع ض ه م ق ال : ل ه و اح د ة م نه ا. و ق ال ب ع ض ه م : ب ل ي ج م ع ل ه ك ل ه ا و ذ ل ك س ب ع م ائ ة و أ ر ب ع و ث ل ث ون س ن ة ث هم ي ر ج ع ال م ل ك إ ل ي ن ا. ي ع ن ي إ ل ى ال ي ه ود. So Ali asws said: So, is one of these for him saww, or is the total of these for him saww? Their speeches were mixed. Some of them said, One of these, and the others said, But all of these would be summed up for him saww, and that would be seven hundred and thirty four years, then the kingdom would revert back to us meaning, to the Jews. ف ق ال ع ل ي ع: أ ك ت اب م ن ك ت ب ه للا ع هز و ج هل ن ط ق ب ه ذ ا أ م آر اؤ ك م د لهت آخ ر ون : ب ل آر اؤ ن ا د لهت ع ل ي ه. ع ل ي ه ف ق ا ل ب ع ض ه م : ك ت اب ه للا ن ط ق ب ه. و ق ا ل So Ali asws said: Is there a Book from the Books of Allah azwj speaking with this, or is your own opinions pointing you all upon it? Some of them said, A Book of Allah azwj speaks with it, and the others from them said, But, our opinions pointed us upon it. ف ق ال ع ل ي ع: ف أ ت وا ب ك ت اب ]م ن ز ل [ م ن ع ن د ه للا - ي ن ط ق ب م ا ت ق ول ون. ف ع ج ز وا ع ن إ ير اد ذ ل ك و ق ال ل ل خ ر ين : ص و اب ه ذ ا ال هرأ ي ف ق ال وا: ص و اب ر أ ي ن ا د ل يل ه ]ع ل ى[ أ هن ه ذ ا ح س اب ال ج همل. ف د ل ون ا ع ل ى So Ali asws said: Then come with the Book from the Presence of Allah azwj speaking with what you all are saying. So they were frustrated from mentioning that and said to the other, Point us upon the correctness of this opinion. They said, The correctness of our opinion it is evidence that this is the accounting of Al-Jamal 1. ه ل م ا اق ت ر ح ت م ب ل ب ي ان! أ ر أ ي ت م إ ن ق يل ل ك م : إ هن ه ذ ه ف ق ال ع ل ي ع: و ك ي ف د هل ع ل ى م ا ت ق ول ون و ل ي س ف ي ه ذ ه ال ح ر وف إ ال ح ر وف ل ي س ت د الهة ع ل ى ه ذ ه ال م هدة - ل م ل ك أ همة م ح همد ص و ل ك هنه ا د الهة ع ل ى أ هن ع ن د ك ل و اح د م ن ك م د ي نا - ب ع د د ه ذ ا ال ح س اب د ر اه م أ و د ن ان ير أ و ]ع ل ى[: أ هن ل ع ل ي ع ل ى ك ل و اح د م ن ك م د ي نا - ع د د م ال ه م ث ل ع د د ه ذ ا ال ح س اب أ و ع ل ى: أ هن ك هل و اح د م ن ك م ق د ل ع ن ب ع د د ه ذ ا ال ح س اب. So Ali asws said: How is your evidence upon what you are saying, and there isn t in these letters what you are suggesting with without an explanation? 7 from you, with the number of this accounting, are Dirhams or Dinars, or that there is a debt for me asws upon every one of you, the number of his wealth like the number of this accounting, or that every one of you has been cursed with the number of this accounting? ق ال وا: ي ا أ ب ا ال ح س ن ل ي س ش ي ء م هما ذ ك ر ت ه م ن ص وصا ع ل ي ه ف ي»الم«و»المص«و»الر«و»المر«. They said, O Abu Al-Hassan asws! There isn t from what you asws are mentioning, setting forth upon it, with regards to Alif Lam Meem [2:1] and Alif Lam Meem Suad [7:1] and Alif Lam Ra [10:1] and Alif Lam Mim Ra [13:1]. ف ق ال ع ل ي ع: و ل ش ي ء م هما ذ ك ر ت م و ه- م ن ص وصا ع ل ي ه ف ي ق ل ت م ب ط ل ق و ل ك م ب م ا ق ل ن ا(.»الر«و و»المص«و»المالمر«ف إ ن ب ط ل ق و ل ن ا )ب م ا So Ali asws said: And there is nothing from what you are mentioning it, set forth upon it, with regards to Alif Lam Meem [2:1] and Alif Lam Meem Suad [7:1] and Alif Lam Ra [10:1] and Alif Lam Mim Ra [13:1], so it would invalidate our asws words of what we asws said, or invalidation of your asws words of what you asws said ه ل أ ن ت ج ع ل ف ق ال خ ط يب ه م و م ن ط يق ه م : ل ت ف ر ح ي ا ع ل ي ب أ ن ع ج ز ن ا ع ن إ ق ام ة ح هجة ع ل ى د ع و ان ا ف أ ي ح هجة ل ك ف ي د ع و اك إ ع ج ز ن ا ح هجت ك ف إ ذا م ا ل ن ا ح هجة ف يم ا ن ق ول - و ل ل ك م ح هجة ف يم ا ت ق ول ون. ق ال ع ل ي ع: ل س و اء إ هن ل ن ا ح هجة ه ي ال م ع ج ز ة ال ب اه ر ة. So their preacher and their speaker said, Do not be happy, O Ali asws, that you asws have frustrated us from establishing a proof upon our claim. So which proof is there in your asws claim, except that you asws are making our frustration as your asws proof, as there is neither a proof in what we are saying nor is there a proof for you all in what you asws are saying. Ali asws said: They are not the same, and that for us there is a proof, it is the remarkable miracle. ث هم ن اد ى ج م ال ال ي ه ود : ي ا أ هيت ه ا ال ج م ال اش ه د ي ل م ح همد و ل و ص ي ه. ف ن اد ت ال ج م ال : ص د ق ت ص د ق ت ]ي ا ع ل ي[ ي ا و ص هي م ح همد و ك ذ ب ه ؤ ل ء ]ال ي ه ود [. Then Jamaal the Jew called out, O you camels! Testify for Muhammad saww and his saww successor asws! So the camels kept on saying, You asws speak the truth! You asws speak the truth, O successor asws of Muhammad saww, and these Jews are lying! ف ق ال ع ل ي ع: ه ؤ ل ء خ ي ر م ن ال ي ه ود ي ا ث ي اب ال ي ه ود الهت ي ع ل ي ه م اش ه د ي ل م ح همد ص و ل و ص ي ه. ف ن ط ق ت ث ي اب ه م ك ل ه ا: ص د ق ت ه ل و ط ئ ت ع ل ى ص د ق ت ي ا ع ل ي ن ش ه د أ هن م ح همدا ر س ول ه للا ح ق ا و أ هنك ي ا ع ل ي و ص ي ه ح ق ا ل م ي ث ب ت م ح همد ق د ما ف ي م ك ر م ة- إ ه ل أ هن ه م و ض ع ق د م ه ب م ث ل م ك ر م ت ه ف أ ن ت م ا ش ق يق ان م ن أ ش ر ف أ ن و ار ه للا ت ع ال ى ]ف م ي ز ت م ا اث ن ي ن ] و أ ن ت م ا ف ي ال ف ض ائ ل ش ر يك ان إ ل ن ب هي ب ع د م ح همد ص. So Ali asws said: This is one genus from the witnesses. O clothes of the Jews, which are upon them! Testify for Muhammad saww and for his saww successor asws! So their clothes spoke, all of them, You asws speak the truth! You asws speak the truth, O Ali asws! We testify that Muhammad saww is Rasool saww of Allah azwj truly, and you asws, O Ali asws, are his saww successor truly. A foot is not affirmed for Muhammad saww in nobility except you asws tread upon the place of his saww foot with the like of his saww nobility. Thus, both of you asws are two brothers from the shining Lights of Allah azwj the Exalted. 7 out of 54

8 (Although) you are distinguished as two, you are participants in the merits, except that there would be no Prophet as after Muhammad saww. ف ع ن د ذ ل ك خ ز ي ت ال ي ه ود و آم ن ب ع ض ال هن هظار ة م ن ه م ب ر س ول ه للا ص و غ ل ب ال هشق اء ع ل ى ال ي ه ود و ب ع ض ال هن هظار ة ا ل خ ر ين ف ذ ل ك م ا ق ال ه للا ت ع ال ى» ل ر ي ب ف يه «إ هنه ك م ا ق ال م ح همد ص و و ص ي م ح همد ع ن ق و ل ]م ح همد ص ع ن ق و ل[ ر ب ال ع ال م ين. So during that, the Jews were dumbstruck, and some of the onlookers from them expressed belief in Rasool-Allah saww, and the misery overcame the Jews and the rest of the other onlookers. Thus, that is what Allah azwj the Exalted Says: There is no doubt therein [2:2]. It is just as Muhammad saww said, and the successor asws of Muhammad saww about the words of Muhammad saww, about the Words of the Lord azwj of the worlds. ث هم ق ال :»ه دى «ب ي ان و ش ف اء»ل ل م هتق ين «م ن ش يع ة م ح همد و ع ل ي ع. ]إ هنه م[ ا هتق و ا أ ن و اع ال ك ف ر ف ت ر ك وه ا و ا هتق و ا ]أ ن و ا ع[ الذ ن وب ال م وب ق ات ف ر ف ض وه ا و ا هتق و ا إ ظ ه ار أ س ر ار ه للا ت ع ال ى و أ س ر ار أ ز ك ي اء ع ب اد ه ا ل و ص ي اء ب ع د م ح همد ص ف ك ت م وه ا. و ا هتق و ا س ت ر ال ع ل وم ع ن أ ه ل ه ا ال م س ت ح ق ين ل ه ا و ف يه م ن ش ر وه ا. Then He azwj Said: A Guidance an explanation and a healing for the pious from the Shias of Muhammad saww and Ali asws. They are fearing a variety of the disbeliefs and they are leaving it, and are fearing the grave sins and are rejecting these, and are fearing the manifestation of the Secrets of Allah azwj, and the secrets of the pious ones of His azwj servants, the successors asws after Muhammad saww, so they are concealing it, and are fearing veiling the knowledge from its rightful ones, the ones deserving of it, and among them, they are publicising it. قوله عز و جل الهذ ين ي ؤ م ن ون ب ال غ ي ب The Words of the Mighty and Majestic: Those who are believing in the unseen [2:3] م ام ع ث هم و ص ف ه ؤ ل ء ال م هتق ي ن الهذ ين ه ذ ا ال ك ت اب ه د ى ل ه م ف ق ال : )الهذ ين ي ؤ م ن ون ب ال غ ي ب( ي ع ن ي ب م ا غ اب ع ن 34 ق ال ا ل يم ان ب ه ا ك ال ب ع ث ]و الن ش ور ] و ال ح س اب و ال ج هنة و ال هنار و ت و ح يد ه للا ت ع ال ى و س ائ ر ح و اس ه م - م ن ا ل م ور الهت ي ي ل ز م ه م ا ل م ا ل ي ع ر ف ب ال م ش اه د ة. S 34 The Imam asws said: Then He azwj Describe these pious ones, those that the Book is Guiding towards them asws, so He azwj Said: Those who are believing in the unseen [2:3] meaning (believing) in what is unseen by their sensory perception, from the matters which having the Eman in these is necessitated for them, like the Resurrection, and the Reckoning, and the Paradise, and the Fire, and the Tawheed of Allah azwj the Exalted, and the rest of what cannot be recognised by the witnessing. و إ هنم ا ي ع ر ف ب د ل ئ ل ق د ن ص ب ه ا ه للا ع هز و ج هل ]ع ل ي ه ا[ ك آد م و ح هواء و إ د ر يس و ن وح و إ ب ر اه يم و ا ل ن ب ي اء الهذ ين ي ل ز مه م يم ان ]ب ه م و ] ب ح ج ج ه للا ت ع ال ى- و إ ن ل م ي ش اه د وه م و ي ؤ م ن ون ب ال غ ي ب و ه م م ن ال هساع ة م ش ف ق و ن. ا ل And rather, these can be recognised by the proofs which Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic has Appointed them these (matters), like Adam as, and Hawwa as, and Idrees as, and Noah as, and Ibrahim as, and the Prophets as having the Eman is necessitated in them as and in the Divine Authorities of Allah azwj the Exalted and 8 out of 54

9 even if these have not been witnessed, and they are believing in the unseen, and they, from the Hour, are in awe [21:49]. التوسل إلى هللا بمحمد و آله The beseeching to Allah azwj, by Muhammad saww and his saww Progeny asws 35 و ذ ل ك أ هن س ل م ان ال ف ار س هي )ر ض ي ه للا ع ن ه ( م هر ب ق و م م ن ال ي ه ود ف س أ ل وه أ ن ي ج ل س إ ل ي ه م و ي ح د ث ه م ب م ا س م ع م ن م ح هم د ص ف ي ي و م ه ه ذ ا ف ج ل س إ ل ي ه م ل ح ر ص ه ع ل ى إ س ل م ه م ف ق ال : س م ع ت م ح همدا ص ي ق ول : إ هن ه للا ع هز و ج هل ي ق ول : ي ا ع ب اد ي- أ ه ل أ ن ي ت ح همل ع ل ي ك م ب أ ح ب ال خ ل ق إ ل ي ك م- ت ق ض ون ه ا ك ر ام ة ل ش ف يع ه م و ل ي س م ن ل ه إ ل ي ك م ح و ائ ج ك ب ار ل ت ج ود ون ب ه ا إ S 35 And that is, that Salman Al-Farsy as passed by a group, and they asked him as to be seated with them and narrate to them with what he ra had heard from Muhammad saww during that day of his. So he as sat with them due to his as commitment to their Islam, and he as said: I as heard Muhammad saww saying: Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Saying: O My azwj servants! Isn t it so that the one who has a big need for him to you, you would not be benevolent with it unless he brings over to you the one who is the most beloved of the people to you, (then) you fulfil it in honour of his intercession? أ ل ف اع ل م وا أ هن أ ك ر م ال خ ل ق ع ل هي و أ ف ض ل ه م ل د هي: م ح همد و أ خ وه ع ل ي و م ن ب ع د ه م ن ا ل ئ همة الهذ ين ه م ال و س ائ ل إ ل هي. Indeed! Know that the most honourable of the people upon Me azwj and the most superior to Me azwj is Muhammad saww and his saww brother Ali asws, and from after him asws are the Imams asws, those who are the means to Me azwj. أ ل ف ل ي د ع ن ي م ن ه هم ب ح اج ة ي ر يد ن ف ع ه ا أ و د ه ت ه د اه ي ة ي ر يد ك ف ض ر ر ه ا ب م ح همد و آل ه ا ل ف ض ل ين ال هطي ب ين ال هطاه ر ين أ ق ض ه ا ل ه أ ح س ن م هما ي ق ض يه ا- م ن ت س ت ش ف ع ون إ ل ي ه ب أ ع ز ال خ ل ق ع ل ي ه. Indeed! Therefore, let him supplicate to Me azwj, the one who is interested in his need being benefited, or his disaster, being a disaster sufficed with for its harm, (should supplicate) by Muhammad saww and his saww Progeny asws, the superior ones, the goodly ones, the clean ones. I azwj shall Fulfil it for him better than what he would fulfil it, the one who is intercession of the most honourable of the people upon it. ق ال وا ل س ل م ان و ه م ]ي س خ ر ون و ] ي س ت ه ز ء ون ]ب ه[: ي ا أ ب ا ع ب د ه للا ف م ا ب ال ك ل ت ق ت ر ح ع ل ى ه للا و ت ت و هسل ب ه م : أ ن ي ج ع ل ك أ غ ن ى أ ه ل ال م د ين ة They said to Salman as, they were mocking with him as, O Abu Abdullah! So what is the matter with you as not suggesting to Allah azwj and beseeching by them asws, that He azwj should Make you ra the richest one of the people of Al-Medina? ف ق ال س ل م ان : ق د د ع و ت ه للا ع هز و ج هل ب ه م و س أ ل ت ه م ا ه و أ ج ل و أ ف ض ل و أ ن ف ع م ن م ل ك الد ن ي ا ب أ س ر ه ا: س أ ل ت ه ب ه م ص أ ن ي ه ب ل ي ل س انا - ل ت ح م يد ه و ث ن ائ ه ذ اك را و ق ل با ل ل ئ ه ش اك را و ع ل ى ال هدو اه ي ال هداه ي ة ل ي ص اب را و ه و ع هز و ج هل ق د أ ج اب ن ي إ ل ى م ل ت م س ي م ن ذ ل ك و ه و أ ف ض ل م ن م ل ك الد ن ي ا ب ح ذ اف ير ه ا و م ا ت ش ت م ل ع ل ي ه م ن خ ي ر ات ه ا م ائ ة أ ل ف أ ل ف م هرة. 9 out of 54

10 So Salman as said: I as have already supplicated to Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic by them asws, and asked Him azwj what is more immediate, and more superior, and more beneficial, than your kingdom of the world along with its captivity. I as asked by them asws, that He azwj Endows to me a tongue for praising Him azwj, and lauding Him azwj mentioning, and a heart thankful for His azwj Blessings, and patience upon my as disasters afflicting me as. And He azwj, the Mighty and Majesty, has Answered me as to my asws asking of that, and it is superior than your kingdom of the world along with its strictness, and whatever is included upon it from its goodness, one hundred thousand, thousand times. ق ال ع: ف ج ع ل وا ي ه ز ء ون ب ه و ي ق ول ون : ي ا س ل م ان ل ق د ا هدع ي ت م ر ت ب ة ع ظ يم ة ش ر يف ة ن ح ت اج ه ا ن ح ن أ هو ل ق ائ م ون إ ل ي ك ب س ي اط ف ض ار ب وك ب ه ا ف س ل ر هبك أ ن ي ك هف أ ي د ي ن ا ع ن ك. أ ن ن م ت ح ن ص د ق ك م ن ك ذ ب ك ف يه ا و He asws said: But they went on mocking him as with it, and they were saying, O Salman as! You as have claimed a great rank, noble. We need to examine your as truthfulness from your as lies with regards to it, and over here, firstly we shall be standing to you as with whips and would be striking you with it. So ask your as Lord azwj if He azwj could Refrain our hands from you as. ف ج ع ل س ل م ان ي ق ول : اللهه هم اج ع ل ن ي ع ل ى ال ب ل ء ص اب را. و ج ع ل وا ي ض ر ب ون ه ب س ي اط ه م ح هتى أ ع ي و ا و م ل وا و ج ع ل س ل م ان ل ي ز يد ع ل ى ق و ل ه : اللهه هم اج ع ل ن ي ع ل ى ال ب ل ء ص اب را. So Salman as went on saying, O Allah azwj! Make me as to be patience upon my as afflictions! And they went on striking him as with their whips until they were exhausted and fed up, and Salman as went on increasing upon his as words, O Allah azwj! Make me as patient upon my as afflictions! ف ل هما م ل وا و أ ع ي و ا ق ال وا ل ه : ي ا س ل م ان م ا ظ ن هنا أ هن ر وحا ت ث ب ت ف ي م ق ر ه ا- م ع م ث ل ه ذ ا ال ع ذ اب ال و ار د ع ل ي ك ف م ا ب ال ك ل ت س أ ل ر هبك أ ن ي ك هفن ا ع ن ك ]ف ] ق ال : ل هن س ؤ ال ي ذ ل ك ر ب ي خ ل ف ال هصب ر ب ل س لهم ت ل م ه ال ه للا ت ع ال ى ل ك م و س أ ل ت ه ال هصب ر. So when they were fed up and exhausted, they said to him, O Salman as! We never thought that any soul would be steadfast in its place along with the likes of this punishment inflicted upon you as. So what is the matter with you as not asking your as Lord azwj to refrain us from you as? He as said: Because my as asking my as Lord azwj for that would be opposite of patience. But, I azwj submitted to the Respite of Allah azwj the Exalted to you all, and asked Him azwj for the patience (instead). ف ل هما اس ت ر اح وا ق ام وا إ ل ي ه ب ع د ب س ي اط ه م ف ق ال وا: ل ن ز ال ن ض ر ب ك ب س ي اط ن ا- ح هتى ت ز ه ق ر وح ك أ و ت ك ف ر ب م ح همد. So when they had rested (for a while), they stood up (again) to him with their whips, and they said, We will not cease to strike you with our whips until your as soul departs or you as express Kufr with Muhammad saww. ف ق ال : م ا ك ن ت ل ف ع ل ذ ل ك ف إ هن ه للا ق د أ ن ز ل ع ل ى م ح همد )الهذ ين ي ؤ م ن ون ب ال غ ي ب( و إ هن اح ت م ال ي ل م ك ار ه ك م- ل د خ ل ف ي ج م ل ة م ن م د ح ه ه للا ب ذ ل ك - س ه ل ع ل هي ي س ير. So he as said: I as would never do that, for Allah azwj has Revealed unto Muhammad saww Those who are believing in the unseen [2:3], and that due to my as enduring your nuisance would include me as in the Phrase, with the ones whom Allah azwj Praised with that it is easy upon me as. 10 out of 54

11 ف ج ع ل وا ي ض ر ب ون ه ب س ي اط ه م ح هتى م ل وا ث هم ق ع د وا و ق ال وا: ي ا س ل م ان ل و ك ان ل ك ع ن د ر ب ك ق د ر ل يم ان ك ب م ح همد ل س ت ج اب [ ه للا [ د ع اء ك و ك هفن ا ع ن ك. So they went on striking him as with their whips until they were fed up. Then they sat down, and they said, O Salman as! If there was for you as, in the Presence of your as Lord azwj, any worth for your as Eman with Muhammad saww, Allah azwj would have Answered your as supplication and Refrained us from you as. ف ق ال س ل م ان : م ا أ ج ه ل ك م ك ي ف ي ك ون م س ت ج يبا د ع ائ ي- إ ذ ا ف ع ل ب ي خ ل ف م ا أ ر يد م ن ه أ ن ا أ ر د ت م ن ه ال و ص هبر ن ي و ل م أ س أ ل ه ك هفك م ع ن ي ف ي م ن ع ن ي ح هتى ي ك ون ض هد د ع ائ ي ك م ا ت ظ ن ون. هصب ر ف ق د اس ت ج اب ل ي Salman as said, How ignorant you are! How can it be an Answer to my as supplication when He azwj Deals with me as opposite to what I as want from Him azwj? I as want the patience from Him azwj, so He azwj has already Answered to me as and Made me as to be patient, and I as did not ask Him azwj for your refraining from me as. So Defending me as would be opposite to my as supplication, as you are thinking. ف ق ام وا إ ل ي ه ث ال ث ة ب س ي اط ه م ف ج ع ل وا ي ض ر ب ون ه و س ل م ان ل خ ل يل ك م ح همد. ي ز يد ع ل ى ]ق و ل ه :[ اللهه هم ص ب ر ن ي ع ل ى ال ب ل ء ف ي ح ب ص ف ي ك و They stood up to him as for a third time, with their whips, so they went on striking him, and Salman as did not increase upon his as words, O Allah azwj! Make me as to be patient upon the affliction for the Sake of the Love of Your azwj elite and Your azwj friend Muhammad saww. ف ق ال وا ل ه : ي ا س ل م ان و ي ح ك - أ و ل ي س م ح همد ق د ر هخص ل ك أ ن ت ق ول ك ل م ة ال ك ف ر ]ب ه [ ب م ا ت ع ت ق د ض هده ل ل هتق هية م ن أ ع د ائ ك ف م ا ب ال ك ل ت ق ول )م ا ي ف ر ج ع ن ك ( ل ل هتق هية So they said to him as, O Salman as, Woe be unto you as! Or hasn t Muhammad saww allowed you as to be saying phrases of Kufr with him saww opposite to your as beliefs out of Taqiyyah (dissimulation) from your as enemies? So what is the matter with you as not saying what relieve you as out of Taqiyyah? ف ق ال س ل م ان إ هن ه للا ت ع ال ى ق د ر هخص ل ي ف ي ذ ل ك - و ل م ي ف ر ض ه ع ل هي ب ل م ك ار ه ك م - و أ ج ع ل ه أ ف ض ل ال م ن ز ل ت ي ن و أ ن ا ل أ خ ت ار غ ي ر ه. أ ج از ل ي أ ن ل أ ع ط ي ك م م ا ت ر يد ون و أ ح ت م ل So Salman as said: Allah azwj the Exalted has Allowed for me as with regards to that, and did not Impose upon me as. But He azwj has Allowed for me as that I as should not give you what you all are wanting, and endure your nuisance, and Make it to be the more superior of the two statuses, and I as do not chose other than it. ث هم ق ام وا إ ل ي ه ب س ي اط ه م و ض ر ب وه ض ر با ك ث يرا و س هيل وا د م اء ه و ق ال وا ل ه- و ه م س اخ ر ون -: ل ت س أ ل ه للا ك هفن ا ع ن ك و ل ت ظ ه ر ل ن ا م ا ن ر يد م ن ك ل ن ك هف ب ه ع ن ك ف اد ع ع ل ي ن ا ب ال ه ل ك إ ن ك ن ت م ن ال هصاد ق ين ف ي د ع و ا ك- إ هن ه للا ل ي ر د د ع اء ك ب م ح همد و آل ه ال هطي ب ين ]ال هطاه ر ين [. Then they stood up to him as with their whips, and they struck him as with a lot of strikes, and his as blood flowed, and they said to him as while they were mocking, You as are neither asking Allah azwj to Refrain us from you as, nor are you as manifesting to us what we want from you as in order for us to refrain from you as due to it, therefore supplicate against us with the destruction, if you as are from the truthful ones in your as 11 out of 54

They said, Say, O Allah azwj! Destroy the ones who were in Your azwj Knowledge that he would be remaining upon his contumacy up to the death, for you as would not be encountering with this supplicating, what you as fear. ق ال : ف ان ف ر ج ل ه ح ائ ط ال ب ي ت الهذ ي ه و ف يه م ع ال ق و م و ش اه د ر س ول ه للا ص و ه و ي ق ول : ي ا س ل م ان اد ع ع ل ي ه م ب ال ه ل ك ف ل ي س ه ل م ن ق د آم ن ف يه م أ ح د ي ر ش د ك م ا د ع ا ن وح ع ع ل ى ق و م ه - ل هما ع ر ف أ هنه ل ن ي ؤ م ن م ن ق و م ه إ He asws said, So it cleaved asunder for him as, the wall of the house which he as was in along with the group, and he as saw Rasool-Allah saww and he saww was saying: O Salman as! Supplicate against them, for there isn t anyone among them who would be Guided, just as Noah as supplicated against his as people, when he as recognised that they would never believe from his people except the one who had already believed. ف ق ال س ل م ان : ك ي ف ت ر يد ون أ ن أ د ع و ع ل ي ك م ب ال ه ل ك ف ق ال وا: ت د ع و ه للا ب أ ن ي ق ل ب س و ط ت م ش ش ع ظ ام س ائ ر ب د ن ه. ك ل و ا حد م هنا أ ف ع ى- ت ع ط ف ر أ س ه ا ث هم So Salman as said: How are you all wanting me as to be supplicating against you? They said, Supplicate to Allah azwj that He azwj Transforms the whips of each one of us into a snake, stoop upon his head, then devour the bones of the rest of his body. ه ل ق ل ب ه ه للا ت ع ال ى ع ل ي ه م أ ف ع ى ل ه ا ر أ س ان ت ت ن او ل ب ر أ س ]م ن ه ا[ ر أ س ه و ب ر أ س ف د ع ا ه للا ب ذ ل ك ف م ا م ن س ي اط ه م س و ط - إ ي م ين ه الهت ي ك ان ف يه ا س و ط ه ث هم ر هضض ت ه م و م هشش ت ه م و ب ل ع ت ه م و ال ت ق م ت ه م. آخ ر So he as supplicated to Allah azwj with that, and there was none from their whips except Allah azwj the Exalted Transformed it upon them as a snake having two heads for it, grabbing with a head of it, his head, and with the other head of its, his right hand, in which was the whip. Then they stung them, and grabbed them, and gnawed them, and swallowed them up. ف ق ال ر س ول ه للا ص و ه و ف ي م ج ل س ه : م ع اش ر ال م ؤ م ن ين إ هن ه للا ت ع ال ى ق د ن ص ر أ خ اك م س ل م ان س اع ت ك م ه ذ ه ع ل ى ع شر ين م ن م ر د ة ال ي ه ود و ال م ن اف ق ين ق ل ب ت س ي اط ه م أ ف اع ي ر هضض ت ه م و م هشش ت ه م و ه هشم ت ع ظ ام ه م و ال ت ق م ت ه م ف ق وم وا ب ن ا ن ن ظ ر إ ل ى ت ل ك ا ل ف اع ي ال م ب ع وث ة ل ن ص ر ة س ل م ان. So Rasool-Allah saww said, and he saww was in his saww gathering: Group of Momineen! So Rasool-Allah saww and his saww companions stood up to go to that house, and its neighbours from the Jews and the hypocrites had gathered to it due to what they had heard of the commotion of the group with the swallowing of the snakes of them, and when they were fearing from them, fleeing from their coming near them. ف ل هما ج اء ر س ول ه للا ص خ ر ج ت ك ل ه ا ]م ن ] ال ب ي ت- ع ش ر ة أ ض ع اف ه. إ ل ى ش ار ع ال م د ين ة و ك ان ش ار عا ض ي قا ف و هسع ه ه للا ت ع ال ى و ج ع ل ه So when Rasool-Allah saww came up, everyone from the house came out to the streets of Al-Medina, and it was a narrow street, but Allah azwj the Exalted Expanded it and Made it to be ten-fold. ث هم ن اد ت ا ل ف اع ي: ال هس ل م ع ل ي ك ي ا م ح همد ي ا س ي د ا ل هول ين و ا ل خ ر ين ال هس ل م ع ل ي ك ي ا ع ل ي ي ا س يد ال و ص ي ين ال هس ل م ع ل ى ذ ر هيت ك ال هطي ب ين ال هطاه ر ين - الهذ ين ج ع ل وا ع ل ى ال خ ل ق ق هوام ين ه ا ن ح ن س ي اط ه ؤ ل ء ال م ن اف ق ين ]الهذ ي ن[ ق ل ب ن ا ه للا ت ع ال ى أ ف اع ي- ب د ع اء ه ذ ا ال م ؤ م ن»س ل م ان «. The greetings be upon your asws offspring, the goodly ones, the clean those Made to be as caretakers upon the people! Yes, we are the whips of those hypocrites which Allah azwj the Exalted Transformed us as snakes due to the supplication of this Momin (Salman as ). ]ف ] ق ال ر س ول ه للا ص: ال ح م د ل ل ه الهذ ي ج ع ل ]م ن أ همت ي[ م ن ي ض اه ي ب د ع ائ ه- ع ن د ك ف ه و ع ن د ان ب س اط ه. ن وحا ن ب هيه. So Rasool-Allah saww said: The Praise is for Allah azwj Who Made one from my saww community as the one who can be compared, by his ra supplication during refraining from it and delaying it, to Noah as, His azwj Prophet as. ث هم ن اد ت ا ل ف اع ي: ي ا ر س ول ه للا ق د اش ت هد غ ض ب ن ا ع ل ى ه ؤ ل ء ال ك اف ر ين و أ ح ك ام ك و أ ح ك ام و ص ي ك ع ل ي ن ا ج ائ ز ة - ف ي م م ال ك ر ب ال ع ال م ين و ن ح ن ن س أ ل ك أ ن ت س أ ل ه للا ت ع ال ى أ ن ي ج ع ل ن ا م ن أ ف اع ي ج ه هنم الهت ي ن ك ون ف يه ا ل ه ؤ ل ء م ع ذ ب ي ن- ك م ا ك هنا ل ه م ف ي ه ذ ه الد ن ي ا م ل ت ق م ين. Our anger has intensified upon these Kafirs, and your as decision and the decision of your saww successor asws is allowed, in the Kingdoms of the Lord azwj of the worlds, and we ask you saww to ask Allah azwj the Exalted that He azwj should Make us to be from the snakes of Hell which we should be existing in it for tormenting these ones, just as we are for them in this world, as tormentors. ف ق ال ر س ول ه للا ص: ق د أ ج ب ت ك م إ ل ى ذ ل ك ف ال ح ق وا ب ال هطب ق ا ل س ف ل م ن ج ه هنم ب ع د أ ن ت ق ذ ف وا م ا ف ي أ ج و اف ك م- م ن أ ج ز اء أ ج س ام ه ؤ ل ء ال ك اف ر ين ل ي ك ون أ ت هم ل خ زي ه م و أ ب ق ى ل ل ع ار ع ل ي ه م- إ ذ ا ك ان وا ب ي ن أ ظ ه ر ه م م د ف ون ين ي ع ت ب ر ب ه م ال م ؤ م ن ون ال م ار ون ب ق ب ور ه م ي ق ول ون : ه ؤ ل ء ال م ل ع ون ون ال م خ ز ي ون ب د ع اء و ل ي م ح همد : س ل م ان ال خ ي ر م ن ال م ؤ م ن ين. 13 out of 54

14 So Rasool-Allah saww said: I saww have answered you to that. Therefore, join with the lowest layer of Hell after regurgitating whatever is in your insides - from the body parts of these Kafirs, in order for it to become a completion of their disgrace and as a reminder of the shame upon them when they would happen to be buried in your midst, the Momineen would take a lesson with them. The ones passing by their graves would be saying, These are the accursed ones, the ones disgraced by the supplication of a friend of Muhammad saww, Salman ra, the best from the Momineen. ف ق ذ ف ت ا ل ف اع ي م ا ف ي ب ط ون ه ا م ن أ ج ز اء أ ب د ان ه م ف ج اء أ ه ل وه م ف د ف ن وه م و أ س ل م ك ث ير ال م ن اف ق ين و غ ل ب ال هشق اء ع ل ى ك ث ير م ن ال ك اف ر ين و ال م ن اف ق ين ف قال وا: هذا س ح ر م ب ي ن م ن ال ك اف ر ين و أ خ ل ص ك ث ير م ن So the snakes regurgitated whatever was in their bellies, from the parts of their bodies, and their family members came over and buried them, and a lot from the Kafirs became Muslims, and a lot from the hypocrites became sincere, and the wretched ones overcame upon a lot of the Kafirs and the hypocrites, so they said, This is magic without doubt! ث هم أ ق ب ل ر س ول ه للا ص ع ل ى س ل م ان ف ق ال : ي ا أ ب ا ع ب د ه للا أ ن ت م ن خ و اص إ خ و ان ن ا ال م ؤ م ن ين و م ن أ ح ب اب ق ل وب م ل ئ ك ة ه للا ال م ق هرب ين إ هنك ف ي م ل ك وت ال هسم او ات و ال ح ج ب و ال ك ر س ي و ال ع ر ش و م ا د ون ذ ل ك إ ل ى ال هثر ى أ ش ه ر ف ي ف ضل ك ع ن د ه م م ن ال هشم س ال هطال ع ة - ف ي ي و م ل غ ي م ف يه و ل ق ت ر و ل غ ب ار ف ي ال ج و أ ن ت م ن أ ف اض ل ال م م د وح ين ب ق و ل ه :»الهذ ين ي ؤ م ن ون ب ال غ ي ب «. Then Rasool-Allah saww turned to face Salman as, and he saww said: O Abu Abdullah as! You as are from the special ones of our saww brethren Momineen, and from the ones most beloved to the hearts of the Angels of Proximity. You as, in the Kingdoms of the skies, and the Veils, and the Chair, and the Throne, and whatever is besides that up to the soil, are more famous regarding your as merits in their presence than the emerging sun in a day in which there is neither a cloud in it, nor any darkness, nor any dust in the atmosphere. You as are from the most meritorious ones, the ones Praised by His azwj Words: Those who are believing in the unseen [2:3]. قوله عز و جل و ي ق يم ون ال هص لة و م هما ر ز ق ناه م ي ن ف ق و ن The Words of the Mighty and Majestic: and are establishing the Salat, and from what We have Graced them, they are spending [2:3] و ي ق يم ون ال م ام ع ث هم و ص ف ه م ب ع د ]ذ ل ك[ ف ق ا ل هص لة ي ع ن ي ب إ ت م ام ر ك وع ه ا و س ج ود ه ا و ح ف ظ م و اق يت ه ا و 36 ق ال ا ل ح د ود ه ا و ص ي ان ت ه ا ع هما ي ف س د ه ا و ي ن ق ض ه ا. And I as (also) dislike it that I as should allocate them to a shepherd so he would lose them and forget their grazing. So how should I as deal with it? ف ق ال ر س ول ه للا ص: اب د ف يه ا. ]ف ب د ا ف يه ا[ ف ل هما ك ان ف ي ال ي و م ال هساب ع ج اء إ ل ى ر س ول ه للا ص ف ق ال ر س ول ه للا ص: ي ا أ ب ا ذ ر. ف ق ال : ل هبي ك ي ا ر س ول ه للا. ق ال : م ا ف ع ل ت غ ن ي م ات ك ف ق ال : ي ا ر س ول ه للا إ هن ل ه ا ق هصة ع ج يب ة. ]ف ] ق ال : و م ا ه ي So Rasool-Allah saww said: Worship among them. So he as worshipped among them. When it was the seventh day, he as came over to Rasool-Allah saww and Rasool- Allah saww said: O Abu Zarr as!. So he as said, At your saww service, Rasool-Allah saww!. He saww said: What did you do with your sheep? He as said: O Rasool-Allah saww! There is a strange story of theirs. So he saww said: And what is it? ق ال : ي ا ر س ول ه للا ب ي ن ا أ ن ا ف ي ص ل ت ي- ع ل ى غ ن م ي إ ذ ع د ا الذ ئ ب ع ل ى غ ن م ي ف ق ل ت : ي ا ر ب ص ل ت ي ي ا ر ب غ ن م ي ف آث ر ت ص ل ت ي He as said: O Rasool-Allah saww! While I as was in my as Salat, when a wolf attacked upon my as sheep. So I as said, O Lord azwj! My as Salat! O Lord azwj, my as sheep! Thus I as preferred my as Salat over my as sheep. ف أ خ ط ر ال هشي ط ان ب ب ال ي- ي ا الد ن ي ا م ا ت ت ع هيش ب هأ ب ا ذ ر أ ي ن أ ن ت إ ن ع د ت الذ ئ اب ع ل ى غ ن م ك- و أ ن ت ت ص ل ي ف أ ه ل ك ت ه ا ك لهه ا و م ا ي ب ق ى ل ك ف ي So the Satan la notified my as mind, O Abu Zarr as! Where are you as? The wolf is attacking upon your as sheep, and you as are (still) praying Salat? He la will kill all of them, and there would not remain (anything) for you as in the world you can live by. يم ان ب م ح همد ر س ول ه للا ص و م و ا لة أ خ يه س ي د ال خ ل ق ب عد ه ع ل ي ب ن أ ب ي ف ق ل ت ل ل هشي ط ان ي ب ق ى ل ي ت و ح يد ه للا ت ع ال ى و ا ل ط ال ب ع و م و ا لة ا ل ئ همة ال ه اد ين ال هطاه ر ين م ن و ل د ه و م ع اد اة أ ع د ائ ه م و ك ل م ا ف ات م ن الد ن ي ا ب ع د ذ ل ك ج ل ل. So I ra said to the Satan la, There would remain for me the Tawheed of Allah azwj the Exalted, and the Eman with Muhammad saww Rasool-Allah saww, and the Wilayah of his saww brother, the Chief of the people after him saww Ali asws Bin Abu Talib asws, and the Wilayah of the Imams asws, the Guides, the clean, from his asws sons asws, and the enmity of their asws enemies, and everything what I lose from the word after that is not gravely missed. ف أ ق ب ل ت ع ل ى ص ل ت ي ف ج اء ذ ئ ب ف أ خ ذ ح م ل و ذ ه ب ب ه و أ ن ا أ ح س ب ه إ ذ ا أ ق ب ل ع ل ى الذ ئ ب أ س د ف قط ع ه ن ص ف ي ن و اس ت ن ق ذ ال ح م ل و ر هده إ ل ى ال ق ط يع ث هم ن اد ان ي : ي ا أ ب ا ذ ر أ ق ب ل ع ل ى ص ل ت ك ف إ هن ه للا ت ع ال ى ق د و هكل ن ي ب غ ن م ك إ ل ى أ ن ت ص ل ي. So I as returned to my as Salat, and the wolf came and seized a lamb and went with it, and I was aware of it, when a lion attacked upon the wolf cutting it into two halves, and recovered the lamb, and it returned to the flock. Then it called out to me, O Abu Zarr as! Return to your as Salat, for Allah azwj the Exalted has Allocated me with your as sheep until you as have prayed. ه ل ه للا ت ع ال ى- ح هتى ف ر غ ت م ن ه ا ف ج اء ن ي ا ل س د و ق ال ل ي: ام ض ف أ ق ب ل ت ع ل ى ص ل ت ي و ق د غ ش ي ن ي م ن ال هتع ج ب م ا ل ي ع ل م ه إ إ ل ى م ح همد ص ف أ خ ب ر ه - أ هن ه للا ت ع ال ى ق د أ ك ر م ص اح ب ك ال ح اف ظ ل ش ر يع ت ك و و هكل أ س دا ب غ ن م ه ي ح ف ظ ه ا. 15 out of 54
