Note that this must be paid with a separate check or separate credit card charge. The seasonal swimmer fees also include an extra fee to rent lanes at Dynamo for the seasonal morning practice ($120). New swimmers and divers are required to pay new swimmer/diver fees, this includes a warm-up ($100).* If a returning swimmer/diver wishes to buy a new warm-up, they may purchase one for $100.* If a swimmer/diver would like to be included in the McCallie travel trip (Nov 17-18), the cost is $165. 2 Centennial Swim/Dive Parent Checklist for Registration If you have any questions about the items below, please see the registration Get a physical, have the Preparticipation Evaluation Form filled in and signed by a doctor. This is required. 2. Go to the Centennial Privit site. Complete and sign all sections of the form. Upload the Preparticipation Evaluation Form that has been filled in and signed by a doctor. Also upload insurance verification or verifiy Fulton County Insurance. This is required. 3. Go to the Centennial Swim and Dive Google Registration Form, 4. Complete and submit. This is required. 5. Pay Activity, Registration, and other Fees. This can be done online by credit card (processing fees apply) or by check/cash. Note that separate payment is required for the activity fee so that you will need two checks (one for the activity fee, another for the total of the other fees). A Fee Sheet is available for those paying by check/cash. This is required. The deposit is made by a separate check or cash. This is optional. 10. Sign up to volunteer at meets and social events. This is optional but we will need volunteers. 11. Purchase spiritwear. If your athlete has a favorite snack, we encourage him/her to bring that as Arrive McCallie for Open Swim Warmups-pool is available at 4pm-5:30pm; Girls Dive Warmups are from 5:10-5:45pm. Girls dive first and begin at 5:45pm. There will be a half hour warm-up for the Boy Divers after the girl s competition. The diving meet is usually over around 9pm. 6:30pm Hot Dinner from Fazoli s will be served at McCallie SATURDAY, Breakfast On the Go Bags provided at Bus Leaves for Warm Ups for prelims (exact Warmup times will be ed to Coach Dale by Wed. 6 Centennial Dive Team FAQs Q: I've noticed Centennial doesn't have a pool, where & when do we practice? A: High school practice sessions take place at Marist School on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7pm beginning in September. Divers generally start out attending one or two nights a week. In October, they usually add a 9pm practice session as well. Your commitment (through the ADA see below) is one month at a time. Q: Do we practice with the swim team? A: Not in the pool. Pretty much all the two sports have in common is they both take place in a pool so you will not attend swim practices. Your practices take place at Marist School. That said, both sports do some dryland conditioning after school during the week to get in shape and build camaraderie. How often you re able to attend dryland conditioning with the swim team depends on your dive practice schedule. Come as often as you can. Q: What's the relationship between swim and dive? A: Divers are an important part of the team because, in a meet situation, any points the divers earn are added to the swim team s total score; although dive meets do not always take place at the same time or in the same location as the swim meets. Check your schedule carefully. Q: Do I have to be a gymnast or know how to do a flip in order to be a diver? A: No, but being in shape, having flexibility and some acrobatic skill helps. General desire for flipping through the air, jumping high and landing in water is a good start. Q: How do I get started? A: Decide you want to do it and register through the Atlanta Diving Association (ADA). They schedule high school practices for schools that don't have pools or divers who want extra help. They ll teach you everything you need to know. Bonus: you ll meet divers from a lot of other high schools! Make sure to pick up an ADA Application or check them out online at Q: Most importantly (for boys): Do I have to wear that tiny little suit?
