6 Poll Positions WTAMU is out of the AVCA poll for the sixthstraight week, marking the first year since 1995 that the AVCA poll did not include the Lady Buffs. After beginning the season with a No. 12 ranking and climbing as high as ninth after the first week, WTAMU is currently second among others receiving votes. WTAMU has slid out of the AVCA Top 25 Poll for the first time since the final poll of the 1995 season, when the Lady Buffs posted a 30-8 overall record. WTAMU was not ranked in the poll for most of the 1993, 94, and 95 seasons. WTAMU is currently sixth in the NCAA-II Southwest Regional and most likely needs to win the LSC Tournament this weekend in order to qualify for the Regional. If they are able to do so, it will be the Lady Buffs 10th-straight Regional appearance and 13 of the last 14 years. The last time that WTAMU wasn t in the Regional was 1993, when the Lady Buffs finished 1993 in Debbie Hendricks first year as head coach.
