2. Executive summary 2.1 Key findings The schl has a strng reputatin within the cmmunity. The schl s reputatin fr strng academic utcmes and a smaller supprtive envirnment has led t cntinuing enrlment grwth. Students are calm and classrms and playgrunds are rderly. There is a lack f clarity f the specific rles f members f the schl s leadership team. The rles and respnsibilities f the extended leadership team are yet t be explred, implemented and cmmunicated. Rles, respnsibilities and accuntabilities are published in the Staff Manual and are yet t be updated. The schl leadership team has identified the issues t be addressed and are wrking thrugh the reginal prcess f systems leadership. Schl leaders and staff members utline a need fr the schl t maintain a sustained fcus n the identified pririty areas. Members f the schl cmmunity express a desire fr a mre cllabrative apprach t the develpment and cmmunicatin f the schl s identified imprvement agenda based n data and research. Members f the schl cmmunity express a desire fr greater cnsultatin and cllabratin in building and maintaining mutually respectful partnerships t infrm the schl s strategic directin and plicy develpment. The pinin abut the way in which members f the wider schl cmmunity can engage meaningfully with the schl is varied. There is a well-dcumented, clearly articulated and effectively managed prcess f interventins established by the supprt team fr students identified as requiring additinal supprt. The supprt team prvides guidance t the teachers f students with additinal needs. A prcess has been established t enable teachers t refer individual students fr assessment and allcatin f additinal supprt. This team and their prcesses are well respected by teachers and seen as an asset t the schl. 4
2.2 Key imprvement strategies Investigate the engagement f an independent facilitatr t supprt the design f a deliberate and cmprehensive strategy, t actin the parent and cmmunity engagement framewrk and health and wellbeing framewrk. Clearly cmmunicate the schl imprvement agenda t all staff members and the wider parent bdy. Develp a specific rle descriptin fr key staff members thrugh participatin in systems leadership. Incrprate challenging curriculum activities int the Explicit Instructin (EI) prcess, including Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) t engage and extend students, especially the higher ability students. 5
