2 Gippsland Go Kart Club Inc. General Meeting. 12/02/2013. The general meeting of the Gippsland Go-Karts was held at our clubrooms, on Tuesday 12 th February, 2013 and was declared opened at 7.15 pm by President Glenn Wall. Present: Anita & Barry Stratton, Graeme & Jeanette Monds, Lorraine & Peter Aitken, Simon Pooley, Glenn Wall, Phil Lane, Alfi Prestipino. Geoff Medew, Tony & Trevor Correa, Mick Alger, Ross Miller, John Schena, Daniel Inglis. Apologies: Jason & Luana Crampton, Cameron & Lucas Correa. New Members: Minutes from last Meeting. The club would like to welcome two new karters and their families, Jayden Morris, and Rhys Kemp. The minutes from the last meeting were read by members present, Moved by Trevor Correa and second by Lorraine Aitken that they be true and correct. Treasurers Phil gave his report, the report was read by members present, and it was Moved by Graeme Monds Report: and second by Lorraine Aitken. Thank you Phil for your report. Listed below are the fees for 2013, just a reminder for you, They are:-. Fees for 2013: Juniors $ Seniors $85.00 and Families $ Race fees 2013: Cadets & Rookies $ Junior & Seniors $ Second entry $ Families $ Definition of Family for racing: 2 Adults and children under 18 years, but when child/children reach the age of 18years they are no longer under the family price. Transponders, are now $ each. Business NIL. Arising. Delegates The delegates report was given by Graeme Monds. Report: State President: Victoria s tracks are in good shape when you look around at other states. State Steward Coordinator: 6-7/10/12 KINGSTON CUP. ENTRIES. 89 OAKLEIGH. No Penalties. 14/10/12 GOLD CUP TITLES. ENTRIES. 53 BENDIGO. 1 x Rule 37.02(7) Failed No go Gauge Excluded from Meeting /10/12 COUNTRY SERIES RD. 5 ENTRIES. 127 BALLARAT 2 x Rule 16.23(a) Kart Contact. Excluded section of event.

3 3 x Rule Passing under yellow. 2 place penalty. 1 x Rule 16.23(a)(b) Kart Contact. 100 place penalty. 1 x Rule 16.09(ii) Weaving. Written warning. 1 x Rule Change kart direction. Revise position. State Delegate: Vote of no confidence in the AKA treasurer. Effective immediately. The National office opening AKA section is a little small but all very happy. AKA CD s will be available for all clubs shortly at no cost. Rotax technical spec s piston rings. Remove any reference to non tech items. 1 st January anyone that uses a new replacement chassis will start at the rear of the field. All AKA fee s and licence will increase with CPI in Stewards section completed on CMS. Information on the testing of the tyres: Tyre Testing report Group One (NKC has a copy) Tyre Testing report Group Two (on the AKA website). State Technical. SA open meeting two Victorian competitors parents abused the technical officers at the event. Delegates believe that this is unacceptable clubs need to look at banning these people from their circuits. A carby was another carby for Comer is currently being inspected for homologation. Discussion on the carby situation NKC delegate stated the carby has not been approved for use only to go ahead for homologation by the NKC. The National Tech approved this as well. VKA Permit remains the same as Bendigo moved: A $5.00 competition licence increase to the licences and to be effective from the 1 st January, Second: Geelong. Carried. VKA to pursue the cyber bulling that has been sited on a facebook site. At the delegates meeting on 14 th February, there will be a discussion re TAG 125 and tyres. Graeme will give us the answer next meeting. To many people on the grid, Grid passes and ID cards for Pit crews are being reintroduced. 1 person per kart, 2 people for Super Heavy. There was a discussion on the rules, please read them when you get your manual, they are important. Technical: Tech Infringement during an Event. General Business: Matthew Drake Sponsorship. Gave to Alfi to ring him about sponsorship. Points for race day: Final sheet to be given to Phil to check all scores, to make sure all scores are correct. Phil will check all results taken by the system and manually. Scoring for DNF. Order you fall off.

4 Geoff Medew: Bairnsdale, using system but their scoring is different to ours. Our 401. Bairnsdale Geoff also mentioned that 5 of our stewards went to the school, to renew their accreditation for 2013,they were Graeme, Phil, Glenn, Geoff and Andrew and Brett Hopkinson for scrutineering. Thank You fellows. NO RACING ON EASTER SUNDAY 31 ST MARCH. WORKING BEE: There will be a working bee on the 16 th March, 2013 from 8 o clock onwards, we have to have a few jobs done before the Power Series on the following weekend. Please help, the more help we can get the more we can get done, and it would not take us as long, if you need to know more about what has to be done see Glenn at club day. Glenn is ordering some stones and soil. Having our track looking great makes our members feel proud. Members: If you want to renew your license, you have to do your membership first. If you wish to race on a race weekend, and your license is due for renewal, you must have your license done with Lorraine by the Wednesday before the race meeting, as they have to have all information about your licence on the computer by late Wednesday night. For anymore information see Lorraine or give her a ring. Members remember to keep reading the Notice Board with all the new addendums, they will be of interest to driver and pit crew.
