(Submit information via to: info@fargoyouthbaseball.com by Friday, June 29th) * Entry Fee of $150 mailed and payable to: Fargo Youth Baseball, th Ave. S., Fargo, ND DISTRICT COMMISSIONERS CHECK LIST FOR ALL TEAMS ELIGIBLE FOR POST SEASON PLAY (Page 25 of Rule Book) 1. Letter of League Eligibility (signed by State Commissioner). 2. Tournament team roster (signed by League President). 3. Birth Documents (Babe Ruth ID cards suggested, but not required). A notarized copy of the original birth certificate will be accepted. 4. Local League Rosters (Tournament team players and coaches highlighted). 5. Local League Schedule 6. Coaches Certification Information (ID card or Certificate). Tournament Managers and Coaches must complete coaching education and certification prior to the start of their first level of tournament competition. 7. Certificate of Insurance Coverage (Accident and Liability). 8. Insurance Claim Form (Signed by League President). 9. Consent for Treatment Forms (The one page form will be used and kept in the Team Credential s Book). 10. Any applicable waivers. 11. A team photograph with all players identified by name and number (must be completed electronically). (These documents must stay in the possession of the Tournament Director during each tournament level. These same documents shall accompany the team as they advance in tournament competition.)

3 Year Old State Cal Ripken Tournament July 13-16, 2018 Brunsdale Fields th Ave. S., Fargo TEAM INFORMATION Team check-in: Minimum of 1 hour prior to your first scheduled game at tournament headquarters (Brunsdale Complex). Please have all proper paperwork and documents. The Tournament Manager will go through all the paperwork with the Managers. After the completion of your last tournament game, you may pick up your team packet and paperwork. Tournament Rules -Tournament will be played at 70 bases. Fields used for the tournament will be grass infields with pitching mounds. Brunsdale Complex. - Pitch counts will be in effect for all tournament games. (See page 27 of rule book) -NEW THIS YEAR: No pitcher shall appear in a game as a pitcher for three (3) consecutive days regardless of pitch count. -All Cal Ripken Tournament Games are 6 innings in length. 10 run rule in effect after 4 innings. -The Re-Entry rule is in effect for all tournament games. -An EP is allowed, so you can bat 10 players. If start with 10, you must end with 10. No courtesy runners. Must use re-entry rule. -No team may play in more than 2 games per day. -Intentional Walks may be granted by verbal request. Do not have to pitch. -Legal bats MUST be used. Bats MUST have the USABaseball stamp on them to be legal. -No metal cleats are allowed for anyone. -Players, coaches, and managers shall wear uniforms consistent with Cal Ripken Baseball. The official Cal Ripken shoulder emblem must be worn on left sleeve. Coin Flip Home team will be determined by seed in the first round. After first round, Team managers need to report to the tournament headquarters 1 hour prior to each game. Coin flip will take place and line-up cards exchanged (4 copies: hard copy to umpire/opponent/scorekeeper/own team). Home Team will occupy the 3rd Base Dug-out. Infield Home team will take infield first, 30 minutes prior to the start of the game followed by the visiting team. Infield is only allowed on your first game of the day. Maximum of 10 minutes per team. This may be shortened or eliminated depending upon time constraints. *Players, coaches, and managers shall wear uniforms consistent with Cal Ripken Baseball. The official Cal Ripken shoulder emblem must be worn on left sleeve. *Brunsdale complex has two diamonds. A batting cage and additional green space is available and teams are welcome to use them to warm up prior to games. Team conduct Only players, managers, and coaches are to remain in the dug-out except when participating in the game or when time is called. These are the only personnel who should be in the dugout or field of play at any time. Each player, manager, and coach shall be in full uniform with the regular Cal Ripken patch worn on the left

4 sleeve. Catchers are to wear helmets, mask and protective cup whenever they are warming up a pitcher. After each game, each team is responsible for cleaning up the dug-out by putting all trash in garbage can. Whether on the field, or off the field, we expect coaches and participants to uphold the sportsmanship code of Babe Ruth Baseball and to cooperate within the rules and regulations set forth. Zero tolerance policy for parents and spectators North Dakota Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken has adopted a zero tolerance policy for parents and spectators. Parents/Spectators using inappropriate and disruptive behavior shall be included but not limited to: Use of obscene or vulgar language in a boisterous manner to anyone at any time. Taunting of players, coaches, officials, umpires or other spectators by means of baiting, ridiculing, and/or threat of physical violence or actual physical violence. If an umpire, NDBRD representative or tournament official observes a parent/spectator displaying inappropriate and disruptive behavior that interferes with other spectators or the game, the umpire, NDBRD representative or tournament official will stop the game and identify violators to the team manager, coaches for the purpose of removing parents/spectators from the spectator s viewing and game area. Once removed, the game will resume. In addition, these same disciplinary provisions are in effect before and after games. Violators may be subject to further disciplinary actions by local governing body and North Dakota Babe Ruth Baseball.
