Why: The North Bothnia Line will strengthen rail freight traffic in Sweden and increase the ability to travel between the cities along the Norrland coast. It will bring double tracks to the Main Line (Stambanan), increased capacity, substantial reductions in transport costs and halved travelling times along the coast. Current Status: Planning.
