2 Summit Velo is proud to host our 3 Bears Time Trial Series and the State Individual Time Trial Championships in Picacho, Arizona; conveniently located halfway between Tucson and Phoenix! The 3 Bears Time Trial #1 will consist of a 20K event and a 30K event. While 3 Bears Time Trial #2 will start with the 20K State Individual Time Trial (ITT) Championship (Juniors, Masters Women 55+, and Masters Men 65+) and be followed by a 20K and 30K event (all classes and categories). For those racers new to this flat course, the road has virtually no traffic and we have secured a large staging area on private property that will allow for parking, package pick-up, and warm up; all in a safe out of traffic area within 2 minutes to the start/finish area. If you plan or racing the State TT 40K Championship the following weekend (26 Aug), 3 Bears TT#2 will be the last time for you to practice race conditions, so race our 30K course as a good warm-up before you start your taper. While low traffic, racers must still stay to the right side of the road! There will be race officials on the course to enforce this rule! START TIMES 3 Bears TT #1 (May 20 th ): First Start will be at 7:00 a.m. The 20K racers will go off first, followed by the 30K. Start times will be based on race (20K or 30K) then in order of registration. Start times will be posted on the race website by 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19 th. 3 Bears TT #2 & 20K ITT State Championship (Aug 19 th ): First Start will be at 7:00 a.m. The State Championships 20K ITT racers will go off first, followed by the 20K, then the 30K. Start times for the State Championships will be based on category then order of registration. Start times for the 20K and 30K events will be based on event, then order of registration. Start times will be posted on the race website by 8:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug 18 th. REGISTRATION All registration must be accomplished online at There is no day-of registration.

From Tucson: Take I-10 and follow the detour signs and exit Exit #211A, turn left under the bridge (follow the KOA signs) and then left to head south. Then turn right S Picacho Hwy to staging area at S Picacho Hwy. If you get back on the highway, you missed your turn. The staging area will be on the right. From Phoenix: Take I-10 and Exit # 211A, continue south to S Picacho Hwy and turn right to Picacho Hwy. The staging area will be on the right. 5 State TT Championship Awards: All racers must race in their own category. No racing up or down categories. USA Cycling State Championship medals will be awarded to the top three racers in each category that hold yearly racing licenses.
